I got that coupon yesterday from the MCM! Didn’t even think of the travel size, LOL

    • Holly

Meeee Tooo! I got 3!!! Thanks so much because mine were going to go to waste, unless they were on sale next week! YAY!!

  2. Gayle Daniel

thanks for the heads up and I hope I get this coupon when i go today…to make this deal even better you could use a $1/2 coupon (I got one in a coupon trade but not sure where it came from) and pair with the red coupon machine one to score 2 packages FREE:

    buy 2 at .99 each
    use $1/2 coupon
    use $1 off CVS coupon
    FREE for 2

  3. Lisa

I got that coupon too, but I’m going to hold onto it for a kelloggs cereal sale. I love that CVS takes expired store coupons!

    • Ailidh

I have never heard of our CVS taking expired store coupons. How does that work?

      • Amy

How expired can they be? Is it like the extracare bucks that they will take for four days or is it longer? I have never heard of that either.

        • Lisa

At all of the stores in my area, it’s their policy to take expired coupons or ECB, no matter how old they are. Whenever I use one, I say to the cashier, “you guys take expired coupons, right?” and they always say “oh, of course!” They have to manually enter it because it beeps, so I just check my receipt right away to make sure it was taken off correctly. It’s never been a problem. I save all of my magic coupon machine coupons and wait for a sale to use them on.

        • Jyo

It all depends on your CVS store manager. I have two CVS within 10 miles and one will take only 3 days after expired date and other store takes any expired coupon including mfg coupons.

          • Erin

Yup. I have five or six in about a ten mile radius, and they are all different. Easier to just use them before they expire than trying to remember which one will accept them. Invariably, the one that will accept them will be out of stock of whatever it is! Maybe because they accept the expired ones? Never thought of that, LOL.

        • mel

YMMV, you just need to ask. Of the 4 stores that are close in my area, 1 will take $/$$, ECBs, and any coupons that print on the bottom of your receipt, as well as any store specific coupons from other sources (like the .99 beauty booklet) home mailers, etc for up to 30 days. I have another store that will only take expired ECBs up to 14 days. And the other 2 stores say you are SOL, they don’t take expireds!

  4. Mandi

I was able to use mine on the Kelloggs cereal bars! 🙂

  5. Amy

I got it yesterday too and thought that coupon is going to go to waste since Kellogg’s wasn’t a great price this week. Buying the travel size will be perfect! Thanks!

  6. Sue M.

I got one yesterday also. Used it on the travel size Raisin Bran Crunch. Yum, and perfect breakfast size for me!

  7. Jenny

I got my yesterday, but didn’t think to use on travel size. I might get it today, and hopefully get a better coupon this time.

  8. Heather

Wow – thanks for the tip! I will use mine for sure now!

  9. Amber

I got that one yesterday and I used it on the travel size cups, but the coupon beeped. Thankfully the cashier looked at the coupon and said, “there is no size restriction…I’ll manually put it in.” and she did and it was FREE! I love CVS cashiers!

  10. Lysandra

Collin, ur the best! Just like everybody else, I thought mine was gonna go into the trash if I didn’t hear of a good sale by next week. I’m happy I saved mine! And thanks to all those who mentioned that some stores take expired qpons, I had no idea! I’ll deffinitely ask the store manager on my next trip!

  11. Barbara

I tried using the cereal coupon at CVS yesterday. It would not go through and the cashier said she had already tried everything for another customer but couldn’t get it to work. I’m going to try another CVS since some people have had success. Wish me luck!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i was thinking to get the Special K Fruit and Yogurt cereal they aren’t on sale but this is what i came up with:

Buy 3 Fruit and Yogurt Special K for $3.19
Print out 3 coupons from the MCM each time or day for $1.00 off/1
Use a Kellogg’s coupon from the website wyb 3 save $2.00
    Pay $4.57 for 3 boxes

Additional coupons like ECB Green bag tag would also be great or ECB rewards! 🙂

  13. Tricia

My local CVS (San Leandro, CA) did not let me use the $1/1 Kellog’s on the cereal cups. 🙁

  14. Karrie

I didn’t get this coupon but I did get a coupon for 1.00 off ANY starburst jelly beans, at first I was looking at the bigger packs which are 2/4.00 but then turned to another area where they have these little eggs of jelly beans for .99 so FREE after coupon!!

  15. Amy C.

Some CVS deals to look out for next week…
Regular sized Kellogg’s cereal is 2/$5, family size is 2/$6
Coke 2 liters are $1… If the $2 off beverage from the MCM works on 2 liters it’ll make for 2 free ones. 🙂
Also, Physician’s Formula is b1g1 half off next week. I’m not sure what regular price is on them, but it should make for a pretty good deal when paired with the $5 coupons from yesterday…

    • Lora

Yes! I wonder how many of those coupons you can use? I printed off quite a few…

i got this from the machine. going back tomorrow will this coupon and the printed free candy/beverage one from the other cvs post. still have to print that offer. i love freebies

  17. Christie

In addition to the $1 off the Kellogg’s cereal, I got $1 off of Dove chocolate coupon from the magic coupon machine. The bags are on sale this week for $3. I paired the $1 MCM with the (up to $2) free candy/beverage coupon CVS is offering online right now. Ended up paying 7 cents sales tax only for a bag of Dove Easter chocolates!

  18. ROSE

our cvs has all kelloggs on sale this week $1.77. and i got the #1.00 from the redbox. and .75/1 off manufacturer. so .02 a box.

  19. retireewannabe

I got a free travel size of Frosted Flakes. The travel ones were located in a special $1 aisle and not by the regular cereal boxes in my store. The clerk told me she had thrown HER own coupon away, never thinking about the travel size!

  20. Lora

I have gotten quite a few of these coupons at the magic coupon machine and so have scored this deal a few times! Tip: If the coupon machine spits out some coupons, scan your card again and it could spit out even more! I heart CVS and you Collin 🙂
