WooHoo! It’s back again this week! If you want to take the night off from cooking dinner and cleaning up, then consider heading on over to your local Chili’s. Print the coupon found here and kids ages 12 and under will eat FREE with any adult entree purchase. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 2 free kids meals per adult entree purchase; coupon only valid today, March 14th.

Check out some of the comments from last week’s post when Chili’s offered up the same promotion…

Took the grands, had an Oldtimer hamburger special, they got what they wanted and I spent a whole $6.78 for three dinners. No problem, great waiter, said Mam you got a sweet deal, I said yes I did., it was from Hip2Save.

We took our 2 kids. Ordered one salad entree, got both kids meals free and shared an appetizer. Total bill was $14.01, awesome!

This is great! We have 5 kids so it gets pretty expensive to go out to eat. We used this coupon last month when it was available and we all ate for around $30!! This is a great deal!!!!!

* And don’t forget to sign up for the Chili’s email club! Just for signing up, you’ll score a coupon valid for FREE Chips & Queso (cheese dip with seasoned beef, served with warm tostada chips and homemade salsa) with the purchase of any entree! …So yummy!! 🙂 I actually went to Chili’s Last week and redeemed this great coupon (as you can see from the picture above and below). I am addicted to their chips and salsa!

  3. Michelle

Me too Collin!!! Next time try it with a side of ranch! Dip in salsa first, then ranch. Delicioso!!!

    • Sue M.

The chips are really good dipped in the Avocado Ranch also!

  4. Cassandra

Please don’t forget to tip your waiter or waitress as properly as though you didn’t get the discount, believe me they remember you^^

    • Bee

Yes, wait persons should be tipped according to the bill before discounts and according to the quality of service provided.

I don’t want to be cheap, so I don’t really eat out.

A lot of other people have had to stop in this economy as well.

    • Sue M.

Thanks for posting that. I work at Chili’s part-time now. We have to tip out the bartender on our total sales amount, as a Server–even if there was no alcohol served. Just one of the few Cons I have about working there. We also have to tip out the QA–The Quality Control (Expediter) in the kitchen. The Busboys are gone (except on special holidays), due to the economy, and we used to tip them out also; which I had no problem in doing. When all was said and done though, we many times didn’t make much at the end of the night.

I love Chili’s though. The food is delicious, and the the Mgmt. we have now is beyond fun, considerate, and it’s a great place to work. I am the oldest employee there. LOL. I had strokes last summer, and am still not able to go back to being a Food Server. They made it clear though that they would accomodate my “light-duty”, 4 hour max work orders from the Dr.s for the past 5 months, after being off for almost 5 months.. Chili’s has no “light duty”. So, I do To-Go. Not making as much as Serving, but something is better than nothing, right? I’m treated with respect, and was brought to tears my “first day back”, and they held a shift meeting, with them all clapping that I was back! A few of the “kids” call me Mama regularly, and will not tolerate any new employee who does not treat me with respect and kindness. A lot of these kids went to high school with my own children. I’ve even been told that they pity me for having to have put up with my own kids! LOL!

Chili’s also has a “Family Fund” that employees can contribute to out of their paychecks. Whatever amount they choose; even as little as a dollar. Last summer after my first round of strokes, I was so touched and blessed…. I’d been there almost 5 years, and one of the Asst. Mgrs. called me to see if I could come in after I got out of the hospital. Long story short….They paid for ALL my utilities for a month and gave me a $200 Wal-Mart Gift Card. What a blessing to be able to go buy cleaning supplies, dog food, etc….as well as some groceries. It gave me a much needed financial break for a bit.

      OK, I’m tearful now….LOL.

Bottom line is, yes, please remember to tip your Server, and know that Chili’s does a lot of community good (we have 2-3 “give back” nights a month for local organizations), as well as my favorite, the yearly St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital fund raiser. 🙂

      • Pam

Well said, Sue. We need to hear more of these stories these days. Hope you are doing much better!

        • Sue M.

Thank you Pam. That really touched my heart.

I am doing much better. Although I would like to “be” where and what I was, pre-strokes, it’s not happening yet.

My left side, especially my leg, is still weak. Therefore I can’t do the job at Chili’s as a Food Server. I can’t do 5-6 hours for a dinner shift. I still do To-go, which sometimes, like last Sunday results in zero tips when I leave. I’m an optimist though! 🙂 I tell the Lord thank you, at least I will get 2 hours of minimum wage.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, please remember to tip your server based on the total bill BEFORE discount. 20% for a good server. We only make 4.90 per hour.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I love Chilis! We go about twice a month!

  6. Dawn

I am thinking about this, but worry there will be a HUGE crowd

    • Zack

Call ahead! You should be fine.

  7. Olivia

    We really like Chili’s 🙂

    • Traci

      I posted a response #15

  9. Jules

I was just looking for places that kids can eat free in my area b/c my hubs has a dinner meeting. And then you posted this! So thank you!!!! And it will be great since both of mine can eat free with just one entree!

  10. Melissa

    lol love the pic!
we went there last week for the kids eat free..and my 22month old daughter had the MELTDOWN of all MELTDOWNS…pretty sure we should have been banned it was so bad lol Needless to say Mommy & McKenna sat in the car while Daddy & her brother finished their dinner. I think we are going to stay away from Chilis for a few weeks…or at least until the wait staff doesnt recognize us! hehe

    • Collin

If it makes you feel any better, I can so relate! 😉

  11. amanda

    Hey everyone!

i was wondering if any of you know if I need to print out 2 coupons or just one? It will be me, my husband and my 2 kids. Thanks in advance!

    Amanda

    • katrina

      • Amanda

  12. cassandra

    • Traci

      I posted a response, #15

  13. Joy

How come whenever Chili’s does this I don’t ever have any extra $$? LOL.

    • Kelly

I hear ya, Joy! Hopefully they will offer it up again when the tax refund comes around. 🙂

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re hilarious Collin, me and hubby love Chili’s but my kiddo’s don’t, wierd I know but we don’t care, we’ll go when they’re in school!!!! Thanks for sharing!

  15. Traci

I called my local Chili’s and they said you don’t even need to print out the coupon, that all Chili’s are doing this deal and no coupon is needed, he didn’t know there even was a coupon, he just said that thats what they are doing today. I took a pic of the coupon with my phone just in case 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My husband is a manager at Chilis and there is no coupon needed!!!! 🙂

    • Christy G.

My Waitress acted like she had NO clue about the Kids Eat Free and took my coupon to ask someone if it was legit. She then got it approved, yet charged me for both kids meals at the end! I will say the kids loved their meals though .. my son had the pizza and loved that it had “no crust” and he could fold it like a sandwich. 🙂 My daughter enjoyed dipping her fries and chicken strips in the Ranch dressing. Overall fun date for Mommy and her two toddlers!!

  16. Celie

sweet….my friends family is coming home from vacation tonight – they have 6 kids – so I’m thinking maybe I’ll pass this suggestion along when I greet them at the airport!!

  17. Heather

Can you stack these coupons???? The kids eat free and the chips and queso???

    • angie

      I was wondering that too?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No they usually do not let you stack coupons. Depends on management.

        • Sue M.

I guess it depends on the Chili’s and the Mgmt. Also whether it’s Corporate, or a Franchise, I think will depend on the discounts. We stack with no problem. 🙂 I’ve had customers with the free Queso coupon, as well as a free appetizer/entree coupon for their birthday/anniversary, and a local coupon from the “coupon booklet” from the High School that the kids sold. We always “take” EVERY coupon, email coupon off, and the local ones! Come visit us in Kingman, AZ. 😉

  18. katie z

  21. Ashley

My email says its the 15th???? are thwy doin it today Also?

  22. cheryl

great deal I have five kids four who qualify for the free meal. The last time we went to chili’s was not fun though. one kid swinging the light fixture, another had an accident and then two had a meltdown to beat all meltdowns. Its been about a year, spring break is here so why not. we already turn heads with a family of seven so whats to worry about

  23. melissa

I called the Chilli’s in Davenport IA and they said I had to have the coupon to get the deal 🙁 How do you print it?

  24. Jill

Went for lunch today with our 6 kids. We got 5 kids meals and they gave them ALL to us for free! Great deal!

  25. Leah

My friend and I took our 4 kids….I got my meal, two kids meals, we used a chips and queso coupon and i had a free brownie sundae coupon and my total was 10.79 before the tip!! WOO

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you so much for posting!! Today is my sons bday and he LOVES Chili’s!! A friend of mine sent me the link and we certainly used it!! I have 2 kids who ate both their meals and 8 adults enjoyed also!

  27. kristi

i love chilis and im addicted to the fire roeasted corn guack i love ……. it chilis is a great place!

  28. Stephanie

Went last night and they would not honor the free kids meal unless I had the coupon printed. I even showed it to them on my phone. Well, at least I tried…

We were there for over two hours..service was awful. Apparently they had a “shift meeting” so there were no servers to be found for at least 30mins. Nobodys food was being served at all. We calmly made mention to our server (when we found her finally) about it and she said our appetizers would be right out (we had been there for an hour!!). It took another 15mins and we finally complained to the manager. The manager then brought our food in “shifts”. Mine and my daughters first..then my husbands and another friends. Then about five minutes later another friend and his daughter. AWFUL!!! All in all…we were there over two hours and they did nothing to compensate us for the horrible service and still tried to charge us incorrectly on our bill! We were no the only ones complaining. I can assure you that Chili’s will not be on our list next time we go out to eat – we will take our business elsewhere!

    • Sue M.

Stephanie, that has been one of my complaints as a Chili’s Employee. That they call for a “shift meeting”, just when your Station is full, food needs to go out, drinks refilled….Since they stagger the times that a Server comes in, they will call for a Shift Meeting when ALL the Servers are finally there. This is usually when we are the busiest! Arrgh. I feel like Collin, the lady behind me tapping my foot, standing there listening to whatever the Mgr. has to says…knowing that I need to go take an order, take out food, check on a table to see if they need anything, check on drink refills, etc……..

I’ve been known to disappear as a Server when they call for a Shift Meeting. LOL And I by no means mean to minimize your visit, and your frustration. I disappear so that I can try and take care of “our guests”…

I’m so sorry that your Server, and then Mgmt. I’m assuming, would not honor the free kids meal. Plus everything else you went through!….

My first suggestion would be to complain to a Mgr. You did that. Sorry. My Chili’s compensates more than they should sometimes (not referring to you). We actually have “regulars” who know they can complain and get something for free, sadly.

My next suggestion to you is to take the receipt home. Do the online survey! They really are read, and the surveys are posted on a bulletin board, rating the Server, Food, etc………You can also leave a “comment” at the end, further detailing your experience. You should just copy and paste what you posted above. That is completely unacceptable.

Last week, training someone in To-go, she messed up 4 orders in a row. Sweet girl, but she doesn’t know the menu yet; while I was in the kitchen trying to correct the orders, of course the next person came in, and their order was also messed up….. I offered all of them some complimentary drinks, then asked the Mgr. to give them a $5 coupon off for a future order. I’m “big” on customer service. I would like to think that I saved the day. I know all too well poor customer service, poor food service, etc…….and I “will never return”.

Anyone know if you can use this coupon in the To Go?
