*HOT* Survey Opportunity for Hip2Save Readers: Earn Money & Prizes

Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

WooHoo! I have a new survey opportunity to tell all of you about! Hip2Save has partnered with CampusFundraiser’s Online Survey Program to be able to offer you the opportunity to make a little extra money with surveys offered through them, by their partners. CampusFundraiser has been in business for 11 years and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

There is no cost to join or participate and CampusFundraiser has a strict privacy policy so your information will not be shared with any 3rd parties. Each time that you complete a survey, you earn $0.02 per point (typically, you can earn 35 to 50 points per survey). So you have the potential to earn $1 per survey! …And remember, that’s just for taking a survey right from your home… in your pajamas if you please! 🙂

Once you have earned a total of $25, you can opt to be paid via Paypal for free or via a check (but you will incur a $3 processing fee). To avoid the check fee, you’ll want to wait until you reach $50 as there will not be a processing free. In addition to your regular earnings, you will be eligible to win prizes and incentives including monthly cash drawings, a free multi-year magazine subscription when you reach $50 in earnings, double point days (doubles your activity and earnings) and more.

There are actually 3 types of survey opportunities offered through this program…

Invitation Survey:
These surveys will usually come every couple of days and provide you the opportunity to complete ONE survey. They will usually be titled Movie Survey or Need Women 25-35 to give participants some understanding of what type of survey may be inside the invitation. If you qualify, you move on to participate in the survey and will normally earn 50 market points, which translates to $1 (you are earnings $0.02 per point) but sometimes there are surveys of a higher value available so pay attention to the details in the email you receive. If you are NOT qualified, as in they are doing a survey on a men’s razor and you put in you are a female, you will be “screened out” and will usually earn 4-5 market points or $0.08-$0.10 for the attempt.

CF Daily Bonus Survey
This will come to your email a few times a week but there is no need to wait for its arrival! Copy and paste the link to your desktop and complete ONE survey every day. The survey pool or router will continue to offer you opportunities until you are able to actually complete a survey or the opportunities that are available. If the latter happens, simply return to the link later in the day. There are no points offered in screening out of a daily survey and 35 market points ($0.70) offered for your regular Daily complete.

Daily 5 Survey
Copy and paste that Daily 5 Survey to your desktop and complete up to 5 surveys per day! Again, there are no points for a screen out and 35 market points (or $0.70) for each of the completed surveys. This opportunity informs you of the time involved in each survey (5 minutes-35 minutes) so you can easily decide to return later if you don’t have the time.

Here’s what you need to do to sign up for this survey panel…

* Head over here and complete the registration process. The panel is currently open to any Hipsters who want to be on board. Please note that if you are currently registered for this program with another blog, you will not be able to register again with the same email address.

* At the end of the registration process, you will be given a username and password at the bottom of the last screen. Be sure that you save this information as you will need to log in to check your account activity (you can find this info by clicking on “View Your Account” in the upper right hand corner of the screen when you are logged in). Once logged in, you can view your completed surveys, when you received credit, your earnings, you can make a payment request, etc. Keep in mind that survey activity is reported back to CampusFundraiser by the survey companies every 1-7 days so do not panic if you do not see your points updated right away.

* Once you have registered, please allow up to 48 hours to be uploaded into the panel and up to another 48 hours before you start receiving survey invitations. From there, you will receive them regularly. All opportunities will automatically come to your email inbox throughout each week.

Fine Print: This program is not a “work at home” opportunity, nor would it ever replace the income from employment. It is meant solely to provide a little extra cash to those who need it AND want to invest the necessary time. Neither Hip2Save nor CampusFundraiser are responsible for who is screened out of a survey, at what point in a survey a screen out may occur, the length of a survey, etc.

**Please note that I am earning a small amount from CampusFundraiser for bringing them qualified survey participants.

I now take surveys for Ipsos I-Say, Synovate, and Pinecone Research. It takes FOR EVER to earn money from I Say, and this sounds exactly the same. I guess if you sit at your computer every day spending hours doing surveys for them you could make some money, but it’s honestly not really worth my time. Pinecone is very rewarding, they send a check for each survey answered – and synovate apparently sends someone cool samples. They haven’t send me a thing and I have been taking every survey offered for at least three months, haven’t even earned enough for a check yet! I’m interested to hear if anyone else has luck doing surveys for this new company… I’m running out of time to fill out surveys LOL!

    • Alea

I just unsubscribed from a bunch of surveys for that very reason – it just wasn’t worth all the time to get a little reward and I-Say was one of those I stopped.

      • Awesome Shoes

I-say doesn’t pay much per survey, but they sent me a lot of full size products to test. And they were really good ones. Plus I got some bonuses from them, twice. Unexpected card in the mail. That was really nice 🙂

    • gamblegirl

I’m with Synovate also. I’ve received two $10 checks in about 6 months. I just do the surveys if I have time, but I don’t qualify for many after answering a few questions. I haven’t received anything in the mail from them as far as samples either. I think the key is to update your profile on a regular basis. Good luck!

    • Tracie

I use to be with isay, and i stopped because my bank started charging me a fee for each check which was ussally 10 bucks, because the bank is out of candana.

    • laura morris

I have done my testing on survey sights.
I used to be signed up for
Global Test Markets- 9 months, $50 check. Took FOREVER to earn points. took too long.
Mindfield: 3 months- not enough for a check.

The ones I continue to use are:

Opinion Outpost: 9 months $190 , easy to earn
Synovate: 9 months, only $25 , they don’t send me many, but I qualify for most they send
Mysurvey: 3 months $50, easy to earn
Survey head: 3 months $80, easy to earn

I finished the registration and it says “please enter the log-in information below on the website” but there is nothing below! Help!

        • Karin

          Thank you so much! 🙂

same thing happened here- I am using Firefox…are you ladies?

We will resolve this as soon as possible. In the meantime, as these ladies pointed out, use our “Forgot My Password” when visiting View Your Account in the upper right hand corner of our website. Your information will be emailed to you. Your username will be the email address you registered with.

Dealseekingmom offered this a while ago, and I signed up then. I hated it. It was confusing to me and didn’t seem to be very rewarding. They might have changed some things since then, but that was my experience.

    • Lisa

      I had the same experience.

      • Laura

I signed up through DSM a few months back as well, I actually cashed out $25 about a month ago, I haven’t had time to do surveys the last month or so but I did rapidly earn a bit of money doing it. You can do several a day and it does add up.

        • Wendy @ Ramblings from the Sunshine State

I agree. I signed up right away with that site and I have yet to hit $25! You screen out of EVERYTHING.

    • Disillusioned

NOT a *HOT* opportunity! Your time is worth much more than the 70 cents/survey you will be fortunate to earn if you don’t screen out. Most comments I’ve read hear and elsewhere confirm my experience – it is difficult to reach the $25 payout level, at which point many are opting out.

      • Nicole

I agree, the surveys are way too tedious and I dont just get screened out right away, I have been screened out after wasting 10+ minutes on a survey multiple times, or I simply don’t qualify for anything that day after answering a few questions. At first I started racking up points like mad, but after the first week, I’ve barely made anything and its been a couple months now.

    • Alisha

I am very sorry you and some others had a poor experience with this program. Myself and a co-worker pushed to offer this program to the blogging community simply because we are huge fans of these sites (and have saved a ton) and were hoping readers could benefit from it. It’s really not meant to frustrate anyone and we have so many people who, unlike yourself, have had a really positive experience that they’ve sent us messages as to not being able to afford such and such or to pay for such and such without the little bit of extra brought to them by this program.

Some of our top performers have made $466, $440, $410, $382 since we started offering it in September/October. Why they have made so much and others speaking here haven’t hit $25 is only in how much time they spend. Obviously it is not for everyone so we strongly encourage you give it a try but NOT to get to the point it causes you to be upset in any way!

    • Karen

I signed up for this through yet another blog and have to agree…awful layout, and no profile so you answer the same questions over and over and over and then still do not qualify. Plus not very rewarding financially. Too many middlemen taking their cut means less for you. Stick with Pinecone (the absolute best all around), Ispos, ValuedOpinions,Surveyhead/RewardPort, Mindfield, OpinionOutpost.Toluna is even OK. One of my faves was Lightspeed but they joined forces recently with MySurvey. and I am not doing as well with them. Stay away from SurveySpot too.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have to disagree with those of you who say this is not worth it. I signed up with this site through a different blog, and it has only been a few months. I have earned over $100 already and have found, in my experience, that I earn and request through paypal $25 a month. I think it’s worth it, since I am a stay at home mother and have the time at night when the kids go to bed to sit with the computer and take the surveys while watching TV. To me, $25 a month is a little extra to help make the ends meet. I am a huge fan of this site for a little extra money. You get out of it what you put into it, and if you have some free time, I highly recommend it!

  4. Rebecca

I signed up in October when Moneysavingmom offered this. I have yet to reach a $25 payout amount. This is a lot of your time to be told that you do not qualify for surveys, and in my experience they are looking for a very specific person to qualify. I am married, no kids, and have a Master’s degree (but no job….thank you lay offs & recession). I get 1-3 emails per day alerting me of new surveys available that I qualify for. Click the link, answer about 5-10 minutes worth of questions only to be told that I don’t qualify. For every “dont qualify” you get $.02 in your account, but only for CERTAIN surveys (the bonus surveys do not count for this). For the few surveys that I have qualified for since October (less than a dozen), It has taken me at least 30 minutes to complete each survey, and I think you earn about $.50 for each completed survey. I haven’t answered too many of the emails lately, but my account has $7.xx in it. I’ve heard stories of people doing this and reaching the $25 payout within 2 weeks but I honestly don’t see how this is possible. Proceed with caution!

    • Jenine

      Thanks for the info Rebecca!

    • Sarah

I completely agree. This one was a complete waste of my time.

    • Alisha

      Rebecca,
As I said above, I am very sorry about your poor experience with the program. I can assure you there is no one specific demographic that they look for. We work with 3 survey companies for this program, all of which use what is called a survey router. This means if you are not a demographic fit, they will continue to search for opportunities until they find one that matches. Unfortunately, they rarely tell us what they are looking for so we can just send it to people who are sure to complete it. A couple of hints that might help: If, in the they are asking you many screening questions about products you may or may not be intending to buy – this is a good indication that the survey is about those products so answering in the affirmative will increase you opportunities. Ont he CF Daily 5, you are told the approximate length of the survey. If it reads 30 minutes and you know you do not have that time available, you may leave and come back later int he day to click on the link and see an opportunity for 5 or 10 minutes.

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  5. Carolyn W

Do these kind of survey companies require info like household income? I always prefur to opt out of answering that, but I’m willing to give oppinions and other info.

    • Alisha

Most surveys give you brackets as to what your household income falls into and yes, many surveys ask this question as for a particular survey they are looking to get responses from a particular group. Often times they give you a “Prefer Not to Answer” option if you are more comfortable with that,

      • Carolyn W

Thanks, that helps. As long as I have the choice not to answer for that question.

  6. Selena

This one sounds like a nightmare. Pinecone and MyPoints are the way to go!

    • Victoria

I agree. I love both of those sites.

    • Tomoko

I agree also. I love Pinecone and Mypoints.

  7. Julie

I signed up with this through Moneysavingmom. That was in October, and I STILL haven’t even made $25! I wouldn’t recommend it. They offer tons of surveys, but then you find out that you don’t qualify for them even after spending several minutes on the surveys.
I think I have around $10 in my account, but I quit because it wasn’t worth my time.
They must make a lot of money by having people fill out a few surveys, but never being able to cash out because they don’t reach the $25.

    • Alisha

      Julie,

🙁 Contact me regarding your earnings

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  8. Disillusioned

I signed up for this in October through MSM and met with some success initially. Since the beginning of December, even with diligent daily trying with the surveys, I have yet to earn $25 to reach a payout amount. I am disqualified very often, and generally you are only able to earn 70 cents/survey. That is lousy compensation for your time, especially since most of the surveys are a minimum of 20 minutes, and you have to spend a large chunk of time trying to qualify. I have also found that with more blogs sending survey takers, it is becoming even more difficult to qualify and things are being spread more thin.

Pinecone Research is the best I’ve found. Campus Fundraiser will not be worth your time and effort.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m out! Signed up for this last year. Got TONS OF SPAM! You will answer LOTS of questions only to be told you do not qualify! I’ll stick to Pinecone! They are the BEST!

    • Alisha

      Anonymous,

We absolutely DO NOT sell or market your email or personal information to any third parties, including our partners. We in fact require that these partners (Greenfield, SSI, Ipsos) send us the links to available surveys so that we can release them to you. When you register with us, we create something called a PID, which is unique to every member and should a company question the activity of a certain user, they are given only this identity marker.

If you fear this happening you can usually pinpoint it if you use a new/free email from yahoo, gmail, etc and only use it for a certain program.

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Big waste of time!

  11. Ailidh

Thanks for the heads up on these companies, ladies.

  12. debra

Big waste of time. Stick with Pinecone Research and save yourself a TON of spam mail.

  13. Anna

Maybe I have just been really lucky with this program but I like it a lot! I signed up for it with a different blog in the fall and have done really well. My question is if I am “allowed” to sign up with Hip 2 Save if I use a different email address?

    • Alisha

It’s more a don’t ask/don’t tell situation in regards to signing up more than once with an alternative email address. Do with that what you will.

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  14. Jen G

I have been doing this on another site for a few months now. I love it. The surveys are simple and I just answer the questions at night while I’m watching T.V. I have made over $120 and have received 2 free magazine subscriptions already. Not bad for a few hours a month.

  15. Jennifer D

I have signed up for Opinion Outpost, Toluna and Synovate almost 2 months ago. So far I have gotten $17.10 back from opinion outpost; $5 from synovate and $20 from toluna….HTH!

  16. Ayla

Me too! I don’t know what the problem is that people are having. It’s wicked simple. Ya, you won’t get rich doing it, but I’m making a buck or two almost every night while I’m just sitting there watching T.V.

  17. Amanda

I signed up, I’ll give anything an honest go, really.

I’ve been wanting for years to get into Pinecone, but I can’t – I’ve tried all of the registration links that blogs post, and I get screened out EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. So frustrating 🙁

    • suzski

      Me too Amanda!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Keep trying with Pinecone ladies, It took me about a year and a half to finally get in.. and i am really enjoying it. I have made about $12 a month.. not a ton but not bad for 4 surveys a month.

  18. Selene

I signed up before reading the above comments. I think I’ll unsubscribe. Thank you for the feedback!!

  19. Susan

I love this program! I’ve been doing this for a couple months now from a different blog. Some days are good some are bad. The magazine incentive is great and monthly bonuses! I’ve earned $200! If you keep at it it’s rewarding! It’s worth giving it a try! Some people from what I see had bad experiences but others like myself have done really well!

  20. Alisha

    Dear Hipsters:

Despite the mixed reviews above, we want to make sure you understand you are working with real people at a real company on this project. Both myself and my co-worker, Maura Rijos (mrijos(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com) work side beside on this project for bloggers and will work to resolve every problem or dissatisfaction we possibly can. This program is meant just as it is stated, “an opportunity”. Some people have amazing success, some people are obviously frustrated by not achieving the results they should and spending their valuable time doing it.

This program started as a Beta Test in September and the only reason we have continued it past the first blog is because of its success and because the majority of involved panelists are positive about it and have asked us (through a variety of polls) to keep it open for as long as possible. The companies we work with in the survey program have hundreds of thousands of opportunities or what they call “cases” on a weekly basis and they have asked for more and more panelists as these quotas are still not being filled.

We hope that you decide to give it a try but give it only as much time as you feel comfortable doing so. Do not get frustrated (we don’t want you to feel as if your Register Rewards did not print and the cashier is claiming it is because you USED Register Rewards and what does it matter you got the products for next to nothing anyway…lol) but if you DO, please contact us for help and we’ll do what we can!

Just noticed this. I didn’t see ANY such information on my signup page as some of the other ladies said, & I too am using Firefox. Just checked my email, and I didn’t get anything from them, either. So how am I supposed to log in?

    • Alisha

We will resolve this as soon as possible. In the meantime, as the ladies above pointed out, use our “Forgot My Password” when visiting View Your Account in the upper right hand corner of our website. Your information will be emailed to you. Your username will be the email address you registered with.

I love Campus Fundraiser! I signed up last fall thru Moneysavingmom. I have earned around $150.00 and free magazine subscriptions. No extra spam has resulted from my signing up with Campus Fundraiser. Alisha from Campus Fundraiser gives excellent customer service and has always answered my questions in a timely and up-beat manner. I also belong to synovate, which I like, but I never seem to qualify for the surveys, but I still earn a bit thru them. I have yet to be accepted into Pinecone.

    • Alisha

      Awww, thanks Jo!

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  23. Jamie

I actually do enjoy surveys. I am a member of several companies that I have been able to cash out at. I read all the reviews and am not sure of this company yet.

  24. Awesome Shoes

I am willing to give it a chance. Some survey companies are good for some people, some aren’t. You won’t know, unless you give it a try 🙂

I love Opinion Outpost, Survey Spot, Ipsos I-Say, Pinecone Research.

  25. K

I have tried them all and I make the most from Opioion Outpost. They pay a fair amount for the work. I feel like I never qualify for the other companies. Hope it helps- i see a few people have metioned it.

  26. Alisha

We have resolved the problem of username and password not showing up on last stage of registration. Obviously that doesn’t help anyone who has already registered but it will help those going forward.

    Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  27. Niki

    A bit off topic-
At our mall there is a market research office. They usually stop you when you come through the door to take a survey. I’ve made anywhere from $7-$25 with them. Anyone else have that in their mall? $7 goes pretty far in terms of Gymboree clearance 🙂

I used to do Pinecone but their surveys seemed to get longer as time went on so I quit.

  28. Kathi

I wasn’t planning on trying this due to the negative responses above. However, I’ve watched Alisha respond to all the concerns above and appreciate her attention to the frustrations. I’m willing to roll the dice and try it out if people like Alisha are trying to help us earn a few extra dollars. If it means I can buy an extra coffee here and there, I’m game for at least trying. Thanks for the post, Collin!

    • Alisha

Thanks Kathi, I’m glad, let me know if you need anything!

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

    • Jennifer

I agree – Alisha’s responses have been good and I decided to give it a try. I am pretty picky about survey companies, as most don’t seem to be very rewarding, but I’ve liked Synovate and have been trying to get into Pinecone for a long time, like others here.

  29. Jill

    Proofread your post.

  30. Deb

Just to add. I also signed up in October, and have not even made $10.00. I get several requests in my inbox, and every time I am told I do not qualify. I gave up, and now I think I sent it to “spam”. I have to answer too many questions to find out that I do not qualify. It is not worth even the time I spend in front of the TV doing nothing. I would rather sign up with a company where you can make at least $10 a month. I do not know who they are looking for but it is not a mother of three with a Masters Degree. I usually do this for fun, but this was far from fun. It was just plain wrong.

    • Alisha

      Deb,

Truly sorry you feel that way. Obviously we cannot control the nature of the survey, length, at what point you are screened out, if you are the demographic they are looking for, etc but if there is anything we could do to improve your outlook, I do want to hear it. My email is below.

      Alisha from CampusFundraiser – akilham(at)campusfundraiser(dot)com

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I decided to give this a try, then read all the comments and saw how Alisha has responded and responded…..seems like great customer service in a world that is lacking in that area. I also go through Synovate, and have received a few products to try, but never any money, I didn’t even know that was a possiblity?! I guess I should look into that. Thanks Collin and Alisha, I hope CampusFundraiser will allow me to earn a few extra bucks for my morning starbucks! 😉

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree with Corrine. I’m giving this a try only because I saw how proactive Alisha was in responding to all of the comments, complaints, and kudos. So I’m giving this a shot… : )

  33. Jen

To all you nay-sayers… you have to remember that this isn’t meant to supplement income… Just as an “opportunity” to earn a little extra cash! I signed up a couple of days ago, and have been really impressed so far! I do “screen-out” of a lot of surveys, but I like that it keeps letting me try until I find one that I can fill out! I’ve already made several bucks in just a couple of days! I also really like that it lets me come back to it later (using the link) and that I don’t have to wait for the emails everyday. I can even take a break from the survey, if something comes up, and it doesn’t time me out or anything when I want to continue.

I also really like the way that Alisha is responding to all of the comments! I’m willing to give this ago! 🙂

And thanks to Collin for letting us know about this opportunity!

  34. Christina

Congratulations to Emily who won the $100 grand prize in the monthly drawing for this!!! She surpassed me as top earner. 🙁 lol
