last time i did a peanut butter deal with amazon i got the recalled ones, not going through that again! i had to listen to a looooong phone message only to be given another number to call because i had more than 4 jars which I couldnt get the call to go through. Thats on the to do list during the kids nap time tomorrow.

The skippy reduced fat jars end up being $9.97 after the code. We have never had the reduced fat at our house so my question is do they taste the same? I don’ t know how it happened but we are on our last jar of pb and DH has been going through it like crazy lately so I need some before we are out!
I don’t think the reduced fat tastes near as good!
Actually, the Reduced Fat has a little bit of a sweet taste to it (perhaps a little like honey!), but I agree with Harmony – it does NOT taste as good as “full-fatty” stuff. Too, the Reduced Fat saves very few calories (I like to go by calories per serving, not necessarily fat), so I have steered away from it (personally) in order not to lose the taste of real peanut butter.
Thanks so much for the info, I thought there had to be a different taste so I’m glad I held off on buying it. Instead I just went with the 2 64oz skippy jars that ended up being $11.83 after the code which was the same price per ounce. My hubby will be a happy camper that is for sure.
notice the jar size, less ounces than Jiff’s 18 oz. jar. The jars look similar, UNTIL you look at the bottom of the Skippy container, it bubbles IN. They don’t give you the extra ounces…they save money by giving you less.
Mmm… this sounds SO good at 21 weeks pregnant LOL Why’d we have to go and get all healthy and stop buying this kind of pb?! LOL Too bad I couldn’t eat 6 jars in the next 4 or so months… hubby is allergic to peanuts, so can’t eat them while nursing. 🙁 Someone get in on this deal and enjoy some good old school pb for me!! Looks like they’re out of the Roasted Honey Nut Super Chunk, but I was able to get the Roasted Honey Nut Creamy, 6 jars for $9.97! Only $1.67/jar. Not bad, considering Skippy used to go on sale for $1.50, and now it’s up to about $2!
