Did you know that today is Pay it Forward Day?  As I’ve mentioned before in previous posts and in this Follow Me Monday Challenge video, I truly believe that paying it forward with random acts of kindness can have a powerful impact on your own life and the lives of others!   So here’s a challenge…why not pay it forward in some way today?

Here are some ideas to get ya thinkin’…

* Be a coupon fairy and leave a coupon behind in a store
* Walk someone’s dog
* Babysit for free (gotta love that one ;))
* Clean someone’s house
* Give a lottery ticket to a stranger
* Treat a police officer to a cup of coffee
* Bring some goodies to the fire station
* Pay the highway toll for the person behind you
* Donate food, clothing, and money to the needy
* Smile at every person you meet today
* Raise money for a person who lost their home to natural disasters or fire
* Hold a garage sale and give the proceeds to an organization who helps others

Or if you’re looking to Pay it Forward online, you may be interested in this…

If you could help organizations to fight cancer, child abuse, homelessness, animal cruelty, and more with just 30 seconds or less of your time each day AND with no cost to you, would you jump on board?!  Well, this is the idea behind Click to Give. With Click to Give, you browse the menu of causes and select which great cause(s) you’d like to help with a simple click of your mouse. When you click on the ‘Click to Give’ button associated with each organization, a click is then registered in their system of which every dollar made by the advertising shown on the ‘Thank You’ page goes directly to that charity you are wanting to help. (Click here and then click on the “Follow Our Progess” link in the left sidebar to view the clicks and donations that have been generated in real time.)

As a Click to Give member, you can view the impact your clicks are making (in your Members Control Panel, click ‘View My Impact’ to see exactly how your clicks are helping), receive FREE merchandise for clicking, and more! Interested in becoming a member? Just head on over here and sign up!

With that being said, I truly believe that what goes around comes around.  How do you pay it forward?

    I go to the same cashier at my favorite store every week and last week she said she wished she had a printer to be able to print coupons. So I printed her some extras and gave them to her! She was very excited!! And of course it made me happy to make her happy!!

    I paid it forward yesterday.. We had a fundraiser at our School and the mascot didn’t show up in time. Not only was he late by an hour and fifteen minutes.. but most kids that were bus riders missed him. But I greeted him with a smile none the less. When everything was said and done i was leaving the School and noticed him talking to a police officer.. We live on a military installation and this gentlemen wasn’t a military member.. so he wanted to get gas but if any of you have ever been on a military installation you would know you can’t get gas without a military ID. So i told him to follow me. Used my ID to get him gas and then had him follow me off the post because they got so horribly lost coming to the event.. So here’s where it paid forward.. He got my children a free large pizza, 4 drinks and game tokens for FREE! to thank me for helping him and being so kind.. Needless to say my kids had an awesome time at the fundraiser!

    One of the wqys I like to pay it forward is the site, Modest Needs. You can help real people and see their individual stories, and help with whatever you feel comfortable with, even only a few dollars. Here is the link: http://www.modestneeds.org/.
