Enter for a chance to attend the 2011 ESPYs Awards and just for doing so, you’ll score a coupon valid for $5 off ANY Haircut at SuperCuts! Make sure to check the box that states “Click here to receive valuable information from Supercuts”. Also, a Pop Up will appear for you to print the coupon (so make sure to have your pop up blockers turned off). The coupon is in PDF format and doesn’t expire until 7/31/2011. This should make kids haircuts very inexpensive. Anyone know the regular cost of haircuts at SuperCuts?

Love this time of year! I have no interest in sports, but the ESPYs always brings about this coupon! 🙂
Here in Metro NY, the cost is now $16 for an adult haircut with no shampoo. I imagine in other areas of the country it’s probably still around $12-$14.

Here in Northern Arkansas it is $15 for a cut. Same price for kids and adults.

My daughter (12) needed a haircut this past weekend. I am on Long Island, NY. I was trying to save some $$$, so I thought Supercuts would be a deal. Not even close. They wanted $41.00.

I don’t know when the trend started to charge an additional amount for a blow out started, but I long for the days when a haircut meant you got a shampoo, cut and blow out. I simply will not just do a cut to save money. You cannot tell if you got a good haircut or what it will look like when styled. I have been burned on that before, so I guess I am a little bit more leery than most…but still, the best part of a haircut is the blowout when you can just sit and relax and enjoy someone playing with your hair.

To get back to the price…the kids haircut is only up to 10YO. They charge extra for long hair and extra for thick hair, which is at their discretion to decide…The minimum extra is $10.

I was going to learn how to cut my son’s hair this summer – I figured he could always wear a hat all summer if it was that bad. Now, this coupon makes a cheap professional haircut tempting. Anyone else have success cutting boy’s hair?

    • Andrea

I do, I cut my son’s hair, cut my husband’s hair and my own hair all on my own, but then I do have a cosmetologist license…

    • Anna

I started cutting my husband’s hair while we were dating. I continued cutting it and now also cut both of our boys hair! It is NOT difficult. I would say to try it out, especially this summer. Also, if you took him for 1 more haircut, just pay attention to how they fade the sides and things like that. Something else to consider would be finding a friend who cuts her children’s hair. I used to cut the hair of the boy down the street. Pay with starbucks or watching the other person’s children? Anyway, I say GO FOR IT…..it is not difficult…and I do NOT have a license and have not taken any classes for it.

Check out youtube. I think they have videos showing you how to do it.

      • Andrea

I agree with all of them. Go for it ! It really isn’t very hard to do. Saves a lot of money and also be a great learning experience !

apparently, my plain old gmail account isn’t a valid email address.

did you register for the site already?

  9. andrea

I cut all my sons hair and my husbands. I just looked up the style they want on youtube and go for it. I’ve gotten pretty good at it. I can’t cut my own though…no cos. license here.

  10. V

No bar code and there is a big ESPYS logo next to the coup it appears.

  11. Alycia

I just go to the local beauty/hair school. It’s $5 for a haircut, a little more for shampoo and style but I don’t think it’s more than $10 total.

  12. Nancy

Thank you so much Collin, my daughter asked me to take her for a haircut just yesterday and of course I was thinking of the cost, now I can use this coupon. YAY!

  13. Laura

    It’s $14 here in Nashville.

  14. Summer

Kid haircuts in S FL are $14 I think

  15. Steph

And don’t forget to tip on the full price of the cut!

  16. Samantha Booker

In North MS (outside Memphis), adult cuts are $13 and shampoo is a couple of dollars more, i think. I have been letting my hair grow out, but go there to have the layers trimmed up. A few weeks ago, I tried my local cosmetology school and it was only $8, though! The only “complaint” I had was that I had a newer student and she took her time. 😉

    • Stephanie

Samantha – I am in northern MS (outside of Memphis) too!! Small world huh?

SuperCuts will also send you coupons if you register with their website. My husband goes there for his haircuts and I am always finding a coupon somewhere!

  17. Tiffany T

I think it’s about $15 for my husband’s haircut here in Northern CA. Last year when this coupon came around, even though it said it expired on whatever date, our local Supercuts said they would take the coupon after the expiration date. Not sure if all Supercuts will do this, but it’s worth a shot. You better believe since this is a PDF coupon that I will be printing off like a year’s worth of coupons!

  18. Lilibeth

regular cut with no dry in San Antonio, TX for a woman is 12.99. For seniors its 10.99. No dry or anything else. No razor cut either…

  19. Maddie

That’s maddness!! They should dry your hair with each cut! Who wants to walk out looking like a wet dog?

    • Maddie

Get it? MADDness? From Maddie? 🙂 Sorry, it’s late…

  20. Susan

SuperCuts is $16 for a child’s haircut in SoCal. Incidentally, Fantastic Sams is $10.99 for kid’s cut including a shampoo too! And Fantastic Sams gave both my girls little tiaras to wear afterward. I had never been there before, but I’ll definitely go back again.
