there were no restaurants in my area, but I did pick up 4 $25 gift cards to lobstergram.com for only $8! plus with my cash back it will only be $6.08!! We will be having seafood for Father’s Day for only $6! I think i may go back and buy more gift cards for lobstergram.com

    • Lisa

Be careful because I think you do have to spend $95 in order to use each $25 gift certificate you buy for Lobstergram. So you will still have to spend $70 out of pocket for each gift certificate.

    • Leticia

Lisa is right, you have to spend at least 95.00 to lobster gram.

Maybe I’m just hungry right now, but that pie and ice cream looks sooooo yummy! 😛

Thanks!!! I just picked up a couple gift certificates for Giordanos in my area. Wonderful!
They are right in the area that my girlfriends and I meet for our monthly dinner get togethers. How awesome!

i got 4 certificates for a semi local restaurant but when they printed they say i can only use one per party, per month…..that sucks.

    • hakeber

that just happened to me too! i am calling customer service to see if i can get it refunded??

    • Shay

You have a year to use them. The one per table is pretty standard for any coupon.

  6. Melinda

Lisa – yes, you are correct. I still think it’s a good deal, but you can’t redeem on-line, you have to call your order in to redeem. yuck! AND you can only use one GC per order, so you have to break up your order and pay $34.99 shipping on each order! Most of the “fine print” only arrives after you purchase the GC and when you go to redeem.

    • Lisa

So the gift card doesn’t even end up covering all of the shipping?!?!?

  7. hakeber

is the tip included or do you have to tip out of pocket?

    • Lisa

The $25 one that I used required a $35 minimum order and then 18% gratuity and tax was added on top of that. I ended up still spending around $24 total out of pocket even though I only paid $3 for the $25 gift card.

    • Shay

I have started only using them at places that don’t have sit down service, like at a pizza place. I just don’t find it is that great of a deal when you add the tip and probably spend more than you would have without the gift certificate. For pizza places though, it is awesome.

      • momof4spoiled1s

I’ll have to check out the pizza places because like you said it sounds like a not so good deal after all the restrictions are placed. I must be rip van winkle…18% gratuity..gheez

  8. Anna

So, it only works on the $25 GC? The only restaurant near us on the list requires $35 purchases.

You’re all right. The pie looks great!

  9. Amy

Are you sure they expire? According to the Restaurant.com’s FAQs… “Restaurant.com Gift Certificates do not expire.” Plus, in certain states, like CA, I think it’s illegal for gift certificates to have an expiration date.

    • Wendy

Mine always have a one year expiration date printed on them.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I purchase these each time and we are always happy with them. We have never had a problem with the Restaurant not accepting and we get A LOT of food for the same price we would pay for a no-frills dinner out.

I would like to get a $100 Melting Pot Gift Card. There are several around (one 30 miles away, the other 35), but I can’t find it on there? If I get a Restaurant.com gift card, can I use it at the Melting Pot? My parents 25th anniversay is coming up in the beginning of July, and we’d like to do something extra-speial for them… thanx!

    • Abigail

I’m going to call Restaurant.com and just ask them… If they aren’t sure, I’ll call the Melting Pot. I really hope it works out, because my parents have been talking about going there a lot lately! 😉

    • heatherb9880

I have never seen the Melting Pot on there before, but we have Colorado Fondue here which is just as good & not as expensive & they are on the site.

  12. Amy

The certificates I buy never have an expiration date printed on them, maybe because I live in Calif.

  13. Lauren

So, If i were to purchase two $25 gift cards and the fine print says that with (1) $25 gift card there is a min. purchase of $50, i couldn’t use both $25 gift cards?
    or could i? 🙂

  14. Kidsallgone

    Nope.

  15. Midnitefrog

Love the website! Its very helpful and we use it all the time to find great deals.
    Thanks!

I have been a long time fan of restaurant.com! Yes, you have to be careful about the restrictions, each gift card will have it’s own restrictions, which is set by the restaurant & some are pretty outrageous! Most are reasonable however. I was so excited to see this deal as I am a mypoints.com member & one of their rewards is a restaurant.com gift certificate soooo I used my gift certificate from their site (which of course was free) combined with this discount code & turned it into $320 worth of gift certificates!!! I was so excited I was dancing around! There’s alot of restaurants in my area that we love who work with this site & I have used them pretty often before that have very reasonable restrictions which with our family of 5, we never have a problem meeting. As far as gratuity goes, my boyfriend & I have been servers/bartenders in the past & if we go somewhere that the service isn’t worth tipping that much, we DO NOT go back! Automatic gratuity is becoming pretty standard practice though for parties of 6 & up really, so usually if we have even one family member at dinner with us, we’ve hit the mark. If for some reason that happens to you & you don’t feel the service warrants that, ask for the manager & explain the situation & they will adjust the percentage, I have done this before also.
