Check out what other Hip2Savers had to say about this helicopter when they purchased it back in early June…

Bought one for Father’s Day. HUGE hit. Just picked up 3 more today–2 as gifts and one for the present closet or spare parts. Totally fun. Thanks for the tip!

My husband bought one of these about a month ago! It is so fun!! I think it would make a great gift for Father’s Day, graduation, or birthdays! We have a blast flying it around our house! 🙂

I bought this last year when they had a similar deal and saved it for Christmas. My husband loves it. I might have to get one for my son so they can race! It is very well constructed but does lose it battery charge rather quickly. You can get about 30 minutes on each charge.

Thank you for posting this deal! I ordered it right after you posted it. We got it today with standard shipping. My husband loves it so much! He is driving me nuts flying it all over our house. Thank you again!

    Collin,
I ordered one of these when you first posted this deal before father’s day, and I am soo glad I did. My husband loves it! It is a big hit with him and our girls, they always ask him to chase them around with it 🙂 Ha. Thanks again, I love your site!!

I too ordered one of these for father’s day. My husband likes to play around with it. It is pretty small (about the size of your hand), subsequently it has a small battery, so the battery only lasts for about 7 minutes and then you have to wait about 45 minutes for it to charge again. You have to plug it into your computer to charge, it doesn’t have capability to plug into aregular outlet to charge.
It is a little tricky to learn to maneuver, it took a little time getting used to it… Smaller children could not handle steering it… the box says age 14 and up… and that is definitely who would only be able to control it….
still a fun toy to pass the time for about 5-10 minutes….
I would think it really is only worth $20….

I got this for the brother in law for his birthday in June. He loves it. We plugged it into the computer all night so it would charge. It lasted longer with a longer charge. Thank you Collin for your hard work. I love this site!

I got one of these for my hubby for Father’s day, too. He LOVES it. He’s always flying it around the house. Even our 4 month old daughter loves watching it zip around.

I got one for my hubby for Fathers Day and he loves it!!!! 🙂 he said it is very easy to control and our boys love watching him fly it!! the battery does only last for about 10 minutes but that is fine for just playing around!! and it is actually very sturdy so I would say it is def worth the twenty bucks!!

Bought one a few weeks ago when it was discounted. We had a cheapy one that we got for Christmas and it broke within a day. This one is holding up and is really easy to control. It is so powerful you can feel the air!! I may more for gifts!

  7. Mandy

This is a great toy! We got one for my son for Christmas and he plays with it every single day. He is 7 years old and I figured he would have it torn up in no time. That was not the case. It has held up really, really well.

Got this for hubby’s father’s day- he said it was the best present I had gotten in 10 yrs of marriage. He mistakenly let our eight year old try it and she crashed it. I think I might order another and keep it to the adults. It was a lot of fun until she crashed it.

Thank you Collin for posting this! I love it when I can do Christmas shopping in June!!!!

I hate to be a party pooper but we ordered this a few weeks ago when it was on sale & it didn’t work. We could never get it to fly off the ground. Luckily, amazon processed the return quickly & gave us our money back.

I had the same thing happen as well. Ordered one for fathers day and returned it via amazon! Dang.

      • Dottie

I bought 2 of these & both broke within a day … Returned via Amazon.

I also ordered this for my husband for Father’s day. He was super excited about it and will play with it just about every day. He had to tell both of the kids that they are not allowed to touch it unless he is with them. The one we got worked great and has shown to be extremely durable so far.

We bought this for my daughter at Christmas, she loved it! My husband kept taking it from her to play with, so I bought one for him for Fathers day this year. He has a blast with it. I just ordered 5 more for future gifts for other family members. It will be a hit!

  13. LisaF

My 6 and 10 year old sons got these for Christmas and they both have no problems controlling them. Yes, there were a few crashes, but somehow these helicopters have survived! I even bought a set of spare parts to repair them with because I figured they’d get broken sooner rather than later, but so far they haven’t. Yesterday my younger son had a friend over and they both played with them. His friend crashed a bunch but got the hang of it after about ten minutes and they had a blast! Compared to the helicopters you see at Wal-Mart, these are an INCREDIBLE bargain and, from the reviews at least, much better made and much easier to control.

My husband walked in the room just as I had pulled the website up! He loves helicopters and has several, but not this one. He immediate said order that! lol Thanks Collin, you save me so much money!

  15. KatWoman

Thanks! I just ordered one! 🙂

If anyone in your family loves flying things BUY THIS HELICOPTER! We have owned every helicopter known to man (not the super expensive hobby ones though) for my 2 boys and husband. We have had ones that were supposed to be tough for little kids, ones that were easy to fly, ones that did tricks and were able to shoot little missiles. This is the best helicopter we have ever owned. All my boys were able to operate it (9, 19 and 47). One really good thing is that when one of the little pieces finally broke, months later, we did not have to trash the helicopter, we were able to buy a little replacement piece and were up and flying again in no time!

Perfect Christmas gifts for every man in your life, no matter what age!

We got one last time you posted too, and my 12 year old son STILL plays with it daily. He absolutely LOVES the thing!! Our cat has knocked it out of the air midflight and it didn’t even break!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun helicopter. We have blown through at least four of the much more expensive ones from toy stores, and this one is by far the best!!!

Bought one for father’s day. My dad LOVED it. He didn’t have time to play with it on Father’s Day, but the next time I went over to my parent’s house, my dad had this thing zipping circles around me as soon as I stepped in the door. It made a little kid out of him; he had such a big smile on his face. Later, knowing I don’t pay retail for anything, he asked where I got it and how much I paid. Apparently he took it to work to pester his work buddies (he works in a very leniant machine shop) and all his buddies wanted one too. I do wish the battery would last longer, but that’s the only complaint.
This was definately a great gift. Seeing my dad’s smile was for sure worth the $20 I spent on it.

I’m very excited after reading these comments and just snagged one for my hubby’s upcoming Birthday!

My nephew love this helicopter. BUT amazon is really tricking us in price. I don’t know if original price was that high $129.95? If you go to the mall you can find exact same thing for about $29.99 or probably $39.99. Buttom line you can still save money buying now, but don’t be over react that you are saving up to $100 or so. Just for your info.

Thanks Colin! My Father-in-law loves these things! I ordered mine!

  22. Lisa

I bought one for my husband for Father’s day, thinking I was getting a great deal – $129 down to $20! Well, it is cool and my husband liked it, but nothing to get too excited about. I looked online a few days later to price it out at different stores and found that $20 is a good deal, but they normally run around $30…so not a fantastic bargain! I think I’ll buy another for my nephew. It would be a neat gift for a 14 year old.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Received mine today Saturday (ordered on Weds.). So far big hit, the kids keep recharging it and flying it over and over! Big thanks – Collin!
