It figures …. it was taking soooo long just to upload the photos. I finally just gave up. The photo deals are fun, but always so time consuming and I usually end up frustrated. Not sure that’s worth it in the end. : ) I say this as I’m drinking a cup of vanilla latte out of my awesome Shutterfly mug (containing pics of my kids). 🙂 Go SHUTTERFLY!!!! I scored this with my $30 credit (that expired a few days ago). The mug came with Ghirardelli chocolate inside (several squares), also snagged address labels and a 4×6 print. Yippee!
I just finished a book. The code FREEBK worked for me. I decided not to wait to upload the pictures though. I made really cute pages and ordered the book, and sent my pictures to Rite Aid to be printed. The pictures cost me $3.29 for 16 pictures. The book did cost me $1.00, I think for tax. The code worked great otherwise. I did notice that the main mixbook page now says that they are experiencing heavy traffic and to try again later. But if you are ok with gluing pictures in yourself it is pretty quick. By the way, you have to have 20 pages or it will not print. The book denied me when I wanted only 11 pages, it said I had to have at least 20.

I finally got mine made. I ordered it about a hour ago. I think I might have just made it right before the code expired. It took me all day to get my pictures to upload. It was crazy. I should have gave up on it but I really wanted to get this for my husband!
i just got the site to work with what i wanted it to do and of course the promotion is up 🙁 super frustrating! I am not able to spend $40 on this book i worked all day on, was hoping to have it for an anniversary gift though. ugh..
So very mad, I started “uploading the pics” around noon, it said that it would take 2 hours! I left my pc on and checking on the status every 5 minutes, of course nothing happened and after 30 mins I gave up! and now I could even print the book, so frustrated!
Sorry I meant I couldn’t even print the book! By the way I sent 2 msg to “live chat” around 2:00 p.m. and they never reply to me…
I have been working on pics to upload since 9am so 7.5 hours of trying to upload. There books look like they would have been worth the $$ but after all this frustration I will not use them. I really think that a one day coupon should be good all day no matter how much it got used by everyone.
I let my computer set all day uploading the pictures, because that’s how long it took. By the time I got to put the pictures in the book & finished the pages the code was already expired. I don’t think they should advertise and say it’s an all day promotion code when in reality it’s a few hours.
I agree. I am so frustrated that I waited on pictures to load and finally just finished book after hours and offer expired. Not sure if I will order the book that I have worked so hard on.
I sent support@mixbook.com an e-mail with the URL to my book I was working on when the code expired and they sent me another code to my e-mail address for a one time use for the book. I waited a while after they sent the code and was able to upload my pictures straight from facebook in no time. Now I’m finally finished putting my book together and placing my order. I can’t wait for it to come in so I can share the memories with my family & friends. 🙂
When I realized the pictures weren’t uploading, I simply uploaded them to picasa and that worked perfectly fine. So obviously there was an issue w/ their uploader. I understand how frustrating it is, but I’m shocked at how irrate some people are that they couldn’t get something free! You were OWED the item, the company simply received a bigger response then they anticipated it seems and they are a for profit business after all, they probably were forced to stop to maintain revenue. If you didn’t yours, I am sorry, but the attitudes are amazing.
I just emailed the company to let them know I spent most of the day trying to upload my photos and that I was dissappointed the discount code was pulled. Within 5 minutes of sending the message I got a response with a one time use promo code, so it might be worth your while to do the same!
I did this too, cuz it took me all day too to get pictures and the pages to work right. I got a code in like 2 mins! 🙂 I love the fast response.
Sent them a message asking for a code just 5 min. ago. We will see how long it takes to respond and I will post!

Ugh. . .I spent 3 hours creating the cutest book ever and the code expired before I could check out. I am so disappointed.
Wohoo! I finally got it. I e-mailed them and told them how the site wouldn’t upload my pictures at 9:00AM and then when I tried again at 11:00AM, and they sent me another one-time use code to get a free book with free shipping before the end of July 2. I just went and made it. The site works great now! I’m always getting something for other people so this time I decided to get a book made of our engagement and wedding pictures…just for the hubby and me. So happy this worked this time! I can’t wait to get it!
After 12 hours working on this thing here and there it is done. I had to have them pull the presses on my book (i rushed it to print to be able to use the code) because when I reviewed the book in the final review half of my pictures were gone. This is what I finally figured out the ready half of my pics were not loading was because some of our family photos were in other albums my husbands or myselfs. It will only allow you to upload photos that you are personally tagged in. So I went through and figured out which were which and then retagged them, finally they worked.
Ho NOOO, I just finished mine !!!!! I spent 3 hours on it,,,,,,,well is not easy with the kids and a hungry husband in the house ….LoL

I started my book at 1 pm and I worked on it for over 4 hours and the code expired!!!! I don’t understand how some people are getting codes emailed to them and when I emailed the company they told me I had to fill out a form and if I qualified I would get a code…what a disappointment!
You had to have started the book by 10:30 PST.
Bummer! I spent hours on this . . . They should have posted something on their website. 🙁

Ugh, so frustrated. I’ve had a hectic day and have been working on my book off and on all day. Finally got it finished after hours of work and the coupon code didn’t work. I really wish they would have said “the first 1,500” or something. I just ordered it anyway. Frustrated with them about it though. Probably won’t use that company again.
Actually, they stated on their FB page that the promo was only for select individuals and the terms of the actual promo had the ‘limit’. But, when this was sent across the blogosphere, those terms were omitted.

I literally spent 11 hours on my book, and then got the message that the code expired. I e-mailed the company. If you began your book before 12:30 PST, and fill out the form they send you, they will send you a code to get your book free. You just have to use the code before July 2. I used it immediately, and it worked! If you started your book and had problems, I would definitely e-mail support@mixbook.com before they stop sending out codes!!!!
The same thing happened to me. I was so frustrated, after working on the book off and on since 4:30 a.m. EST that I sent an email to the company. They should be sending me a coupon code as well. Hopefully, it’ll all work out for me like it did for you!

I started this first thing yesterday morning was able to upload 16 pictures and then no more until around 12am this morning. I finished the book and went to do the order only to find out at 1:42am the code was no longer available. UGHH so disappointing.
You know if you email mixbook they will send you a code, as long as you started the book before 10:30am PST.
I received the code to get the book for free but it doesn’t look like it covers shipping. 🙁 Any ideas? I’ll try sending them a message but I don’t want to not get the deal waiting for a response.
