Staples: Back to School Deals 7/24-7/30
Staples is offering up more Back to School deals this week! As I said last week, if you plan to purchase most or all of your school supplies at Staples over the next few months, you may want to purchase the Staples Back to School Savings Pass for $10 which gives you 15% off school supplies, backpacks and calculators through September 17th (check out the weekly ad for more details).
To sweeten all the deals below even more, be sure to clip the coupon found on the front page of the weekly ad good for $5 off any in-store purchase of $25 or more (expires 7/30). If you prefer, you may want to print the $10/$50 coupon found over at RecycleBank for just 75 points (thanks, Passionate Penny Pincher!)
Check out the deals you can snag at Staples beginning tomorrow, July 24th…

We were at Staples today and they also told us that if you are a teacher (which my husband is) you can get 25 of the 1 cent items instead of the 2 limit they usually have. This was great information for my husband and I wasn’t aware of that so I thought I would share this info.
He can keep going back too. My hubby is a teacher too and he was able to get pencils for all of his students that way last year.
Yes! I have been getting that deal too! I have been spending the $5.00 do you know if you have to spend the $5?
I was in our Staples today and was surprised when they told me that only the “big deal” was eligible for teachers to get 25 of (in our store it was folders for .05). Everything else was limited to the same as everyone else. I was surprised to hear this and actually so was the cashier who told me about it. She said she was unsure if it was a new policy or something she just didn’t know about before.
Are there any penny deals? That is two weeks without any for me here in FL?!?!? Some of the deals are the same as last week:(
I’m in Pensacola and our Staples will be having Pencils as one of the penny items! If you look at Staples.com… you can see the weekly ad for your zip code.
can we price match the charmin toilet paper at walmart???
I have heard that yes you can, unfortunately, mine doesn’t carry that size 🙁 Hopefully yours will!
make sure you check your local staples because the deals are different for each area. here in VA one staples has this deal going on while another that is only twenty minutes away is having penny deals.
I was headed to Staples for the Charmin deal, Then I saw Walgreens for 7/24/11 for $3.49
The walgreens deal is only for 6 big rolls for 3.49…so really the staples deal is better
Hmmm. I don’t think this matched my ad at all!
Hmmm. This doesn’t match our ad at all.
What a great week at Staples! We have a Moneymaker scenario for those who get the $5/$25 in their ad tomorrow!
It also appears that only some areas will get the $0.01 items that the ad preview I saw has.
Not matching our ad, either. Some of these items were from last week.
How do the rebates work?
The rebates are very easy to submit. When you purchase this items, you will receive a purchase receipt, a rebate receipt, and a rebate form. All you have to do is go to http://www.stapleseasyrebates.com and enter the required information. You can choose a check or to have it deposited into your PayPal account. it says it takes 4-6 weeks to process, but it usually takes a lot less time. I usually get mine in 3-4 weeks.
Alittle off the “saving” topic but what is a liquid pencil (under $3 deals i believe)?
Does anyone know if we can use the back to savings pass on a laptop? Just curious! Always looking for ways to save!
Can you use manufacture’s coupons at Staples? I have a $1/1 Charmin Basic which would make it $3.99 and that’s an awesome deal.
Yes, you can.
Just a thought….once you click the weekly ad button you might need to also click the “Upcoming Weekly Ad” tab. Otherwise, it shows this week’s ad.
yes, you can use your manufacture coupon for charmin. I had two and used them both this week! Great deal!
Where did you find the $1 off Charmin coupons? Thanks!
i found mike in a pack of bounty i bought from cvs. it had a nice pack of coupons in it.
lol i meant MINE as in my $1 off coupon haha i must have my hubby mike on my mind. sorry
PS- How does the Charmin Basic compare to the Charmin Soft? Thanks!!!
How does the backpack reward work? I bought one last week and I didn’t see how to get the rewards.
If you signed for a Staples reward card at the end of the month it will total all of the rewards you are owed and give it to you by the middle of August. You will get a reward in the amount owed to you in form of Staples reward aka money to use at Staples. Hope that helps.
I’m used to buying the Charmin Ultra Soft. Can anyone tell me how the Charmin Basic compares? Is it going to feel like sandpaper? Or is it decent? Thanks for the help!
Amy,
The Charmin Basic is a very decent toilet paper for being 1-ply. It isn’t as soft as the Ultra Soft, but it really isn’t that bad … does not feel like sandpaper. I think it is one of the best 1-ply papers there is. I use it all the time and would recommend it. Unless you are really particular about the softness and thickness, I think you would be satisifed with it. I believe it is a good value.
Thanks,KathyV.
I love this TP! 🙂 It’s a thick 1 ply, but not so thick that I worry with the kids using too much and stopping up the septic system. PLUS I get it free with my ink rewards every month. 🙂
If I buy paper and use a competitor coupon for money off, do I still qualify for the paper rebate?
I used a manufacturer’s coupon on the paper the last time it was on sale, and I received my rebate with no problem.
I have a code for a free Digital Video Camera (item # 764388) at Staples if you spend $100 or more online or by phone. It expires 8/1/11. Code only works once. First one to respond with email address gets the code emailed to them. Please only respond if you actually will use the code – would hate for someone to let it expire when someone else could use a “free” gift for their preteen. Fine print: not valid in store. no other coupon (although ink rewards would work with this), $100 cannot be met through purchase of services, custom printing orders, Beats Audio, Kindle, Nook, or gift cards.
