would this be a cheaper to buy the big bag at Costco? I havent been there in months since i’ve been getting such amazing deals without club shopping =0)

    • Felinda

I only make my “Costco” trips once a month now, but I do miss shopping there…lol…love their food samples =)

  4. Rd

No catalina at my store zip 24502

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just went to wags and bought 4 travel size degree deo for .99 each. I used 4 $1 off coupon from 7/31 RP (they have to adjust the coupon) and got $4 rr . So it’s $4 moneymaker. I bought 2 pack expo marker for free with $2 on 2 printable coupon.

    • Collin

That’s awesome! Just posted the Degree deal! 😀

    Well said! 🙂

Yey!! I found $1/1 tearpad coupon at Vons & Albertsons

    • jmartcougar

I didn’t know you could use tearpads from other stores I always thought they were exclusive to that store lol

    • Karrie

That’s awsome, I found a 1.00/2 at a gas station and I thought that was a good one

  8. indiana man

hard not to clear a walgreens shelf
since they only carry a few on the shelf for on sale items

    • ketsy

I was thinking the same. Now that I started couponing (again) Ive been at it for over six months…yay! and Ive realized if you truly need it and it has no limit .. go for it. Example: I live in an area that has about 4 Walgreens within 5 miles and probably anywhere from 10-15 within 30 minute drive… That being said my Walgreens is usually wiped out on sales or moneymaker. When it came huggie wipes day last Sunday or TP day the week before I didnt even hesitate about getting 8 of one and 10 of the other. The way I see it beat me to it or drive a few minutes to the next one. 😉 Now I feel for those who just have one store… come to think of it I use to live in a little town with just one CVS and no Walgreens… must be a nightmare to coupon lol

      • Mae

You have the right to your own opinion, but I don’t have the time and money to drive all over town neither do the other couponers coming in behind you. That would not be saving money.

      • CC

I used to live in a town w/ one Wags. It would have been a nightmare to Q there!!! Now I’m in Chicago, so there are Wags on every other corner. I’ve been lucky to never have to worry about stock. ANd I do “clear a shelf” if there are only two left, because like you said, it’s not hard to clear a Wags shelf!! :))

      • Rachel

See, I typically have to do my shopping/errands with my toddler and infant. I hate seeing empty shelves because I just don’t have the energy to
        1. load the kids up, drive to the next Walgreens,
        2. get them both out of the car and
        3. make it into the store without having my son dart out in front of traffic in the parking lot
just to find another store with bare shelves. Not going to hit up the 5 stores around my house on the off chance that I’ll find something.

You are right, store sell things on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is nothing technically wrong with buying all the available product. But it is a bit inconsiderate 🙁

        • LeAnn K

          AMEN!!! Same situation here!

Collin you rock! thanks for sharing.

No catalina on trail mix for me either zip 70380

    • grocery

in 70380, didnt print on first transaction, but same trans right after it did print catalina $1/2.
however, q beeped, but cashier pushed it through.

  11. Jennifer

Got the Catalina, & since I had such an awesome cashier, he turned around and used it on that purchase!! Never had a cashier be so awesome

  12. becca

    no cat at 77346

  13. jmartcougar

no catalina in Houston but still these trail mixes are yummy!

  14. Tawanda

Working in NOLA (at the General Meyer store).

    • Jessi

I go to that store often! Sweet! Thanks!

      • Tawanda

This store only had 2 bags of the typles that I wanted [sigh]. I did NOT clear the shelf. Maybe I will run into you one day. I’m at ta_mc@live.com if you ever want to “chat.”

  15. K

    Worked in utah 🙂

  16. stacy

Can that coupon be stacked with a manufactured coupon? I found $1/2 Planters today at circle K.

  17. Tiffany T

This worked in the Sacramento CA area. Made my first purchase of 2 Trail Mix and got the $1/2 catalina. Bought my second batch and paid $1.69. However, it did not spit out another catalina. There were still plenty on the shelf when I left. I might give it another try later in the week.

  18. LAni

All the Trail Mix worked for me EXCEPT for the Sweet & Salty mix did NOT spit out a $1/2 coupon.

  19. Heather

My catalina came out before I even paid and the girl took it out of the catalina machine and used it on my first two bags. Pretty sweet!

  20. Camille

I assume you could only do this deal once as when you used the $1/2 catalina on the second transaction you would not get another.

    • Tara

Yeah it seems that way! Mine printed out and it was more like a wags coupon saying $1 off any 2 planters nuts. Second transaction I used it to pay only $1.69 but no more spit out. Maybe it’s more like a hidden register reward than a real coupon as it didn’t roll. So got 4 bags for $4.38, like $1.10 a bag…not the .85 posted.

  21. Jesse

No catalina at 30605, and I did two separate transactions of varied amounts. Still a good deal without, just not a HOT deal 🙂

  22. tammypharmd

    No catalina at 98258 🙁

  23. Tawanda

NOLA shoppers: Hit the store at Claiborne and Carollton and received the cat. (SERVICE is SO HORRIBLE there, so don’t make a special trip!) Also did the deal at Old Metairie; they only had 2 packages, will get a raincheck.

  24. Karalyn Kennedy

    Hey Hip2Save!
Thanks for your lovely site and this deal idea!! I love your videos and other content on here! Thanks for all the work you put into it to make it great for all of US! Anyway, I was able to snag about 8 of these at my local walgreens (97128) and did separate transactions and it worked great! There was plenty of stock so I was able to get quite a few! .85 is a great deal!! i’ve gone other times and not had so much luck, but i was pleased that this worked out!! Have a great day all!

  25. Shirl

    Collin
I was wondering if you know how long the catalina will be giving out their coupons? I get a Rain check as my stores shelfs were cleared … thanks

  26. Coupon.Cutie24

I went to my local Walgreens (33624) and for the 1st time had a cashier get really snooty about my purchase. I purchased the BOGO trail mix the first time and then did it again with the catalina coupon. When the 2nd catalina coupon went to print at the end of the second transaction she grabbed it and threw it away so I couldn’t use it. I could not believe she did that. I was so frustrated I just left without saying a word.
