Lacey Rite Aid will NOT give you coupon book without first getting a flu shot. I said…but there is no purchase nessesary…she said Well…after we bill you insurance for the flu shot…its not a purchase…sad face!!!

      that’s what i was told too. 🙁

That’s quite ridiculous, of course it’s still a purchase even if paid for by insurance: they give you a product and they get paid. It’s irrelevant who exactly pays them; it’s still an exchange of product/service for payment. Besides, you pay for the insurance, don’t you?
Or just tell them you don’t have insurance, so you’d have to pay for the shot, so for you it’d have to be a “proper” purchase…

I just went to my Rite Aid and scored the booklet no problem! Thanks for the heads up on it being available!

BTW for all you people that are having trouble getting the book – I have a receipt for something I just bought at Rite Aid and it says plain as day “Flu Shots Are Here! $27.99, covered by most insurance plans. No appointment needed. FREE $100 coupon book per shot. ** ” But right under neath that it says ” **No purchase required. Supplies limited.” That means they should have to just give it to you if you ask.

My RiteAid WOULD NOT give me a coupon booklet. Had purchases in my hand, asked pharmacist who advised me only coupon booklet available was for those receiving a flu shot. Stated that I thought “no purchase was necessary,” to which he reiterated only for those getting a flu shot. Then, he called up front & spoke to store manager who said same thing; but, stated they did have a new circular up front. Went to front register, which was being manned by manager and had same conversation again. OH, WELL …. it didn’t hurt to try! After all, I did get a good pair of pantyhose/tights and a tube of toothpaste for little of nothing! =)
