CVS Deals 10/2-10/8

Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

If you are a newbie to CVS shopping, head on over here to check out the CVS Store Guide! And if you are new to all this coupon mumbo jumbo (huh?!), then check out our Coupon Newbie section.

Also, CVS finally released an online Corporate Coupon policy on 9/9 that is available here.  Unfortunately, CVS no longer accepts coupons on “free” items, so please note that the deal scenarios listed below will reflect this new policy change.

You can also go here, click on the second “Answer” link and see that it states “Note: Coupons cannot be applied to a “free” item.”  I take that to mean that you can no longer use a coupon on a free item in a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale ๐Ÿ™ .  You can only use one mfg. (and one CVS applicable store coupon) for the item you’re buying.

If you haven’t already, head on over here and pledge to NOT be a “MoneyTrasher”  (i.e. – just throwing away those Ecb’s instead of using them!) and you’ll receive a $2 Ecb reward to use at CVS!  This is only available to the first 500,000 by 11/1 so be sure to pledge now!  You’ll receive your $2 Ecb reward sent to your Inbox within 24 hours!  (Thanks for the reminder, Alice!)

I can’t find the Sure deoderant coupon in SS?

      • grace

I can’t find sure qs either! Someone help!

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thank you

  3. janelle

Did anyone print the $2/1 Reach toothbrush coupon that is no longer available? I think that you can use that to score a free 2 pk of Reach toothbrushes after ECB’s!

    • Teresa

Yes but it is a walmart coupon and we can’t use it at CVS!

      Too Bad,

      Teresa

      • M

it just says that it is redeemable at WM but it is a manu. Q

        • melissa

CVS new policy says that aren’t accepting coupons with other store logos or if it says redeem at X store anymore ๐Ÿ™

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

            Used it yesterday at CVS

            • Nicole

Used mine earlier at CVS, it clearly states on the coupon to use at basically any store that accepts coupons (first words in the fine print)

            • M

yup used mine today as well with no problem

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can’t find the pup-peroni coupons! Collin, do you have a zip code for them?

    • Collin

Darn! I can’t seem to find them either? They were there last night, so I’m guessing they’ve since reached their limit. Sorry about that ๐Ÿ™ You may be able to print a $1/1 coupon with this link https://www.pupperoni.com/coupons.aspx

    • Teresa

      They are all gone!

  5. Rosemary W.

This is WHY i Boycott that Extreme Coupon show!
A lot of coupon policy’s have changed since that show has aired and i will NOT watch it!

I have been cutting, clipping and saving coupons way before that show, but now we the people have to tighten our belts even more to save.

But, i always say it could be a lot worse.
I am grateful for what i can save and help out my family as well as others too.

But every now and then i do get upset over that show and how some people “HOARD” too much and now we all have to pay the consequences.

I thank you Collin for all your hard work and dedication too helping out us to save and enjoy our coupons:]

  6. ALICE

CVS facebook is offering a free 2 Extra buck reward for any one who takes the pledge on not to be a money trasher

    • Collin

Thanks for the reminder, Alice! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Kristina

Never got mine… never got the free candy either ๐Ÿ™

      • Jackie

have you double checked the email address that is linked to your extracare account? that was my issue!!

      • Deeroddy

        I never got mine either.

        • Rachel

I just did it and right away my coupon came. double check your email account and your spam.

  7. Lindsay

Hi Collin! Wanted to point out that those of us who get Ebony magazine got (or should have since I did!) a little insert this last issue with a $1 off any Charmin product coupon and a $1 off Bounty 6ct or higher coupon which would make the buy $30 get $10 back that much sweeter! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Collin

Oh ya! I forgot about those coupons! Thanks!

  8. Mitch

Thanks for that free $2 Extrabucks, I will use that for my mandatory milk purchases.
And the Pepsi and candy deals are getting better every week!
    thanks for these match-ups!

  9. CJ

When you say that CVS no longer takes coupons for free items, does that mean just printable free coupons from the internet, or does that now also include free coupons from inserts and directly from manufacturers?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I dont think it means that you can’t use a free product coupon, rather it means that you can’t use a coupon on a free item.
for example: if you have a coupon for a free bottle of water you can use it. However, if the bottles of water are on sale bogo, you can no longer use two coupons.. you can only use one coupon (for the one you are purchasing… the coupon would not be valid on the one you got ‘free’ because of the deal). ๐Ÿ™‚ hth

    • Michele

Neither. It does NOT mean that you can’t use a coupon redeemable FOR a free product. What it means is that if they are offering you a free item, you can not apply a coupon towards it (and get that overage). Basically this only affects deals like buy one get one free sales. They are having you buy one product and you are getting another product for free. This policy simply means that, although you can still use a coupon on the product you are paying for, you can no longer use a coupon towards that second (free) product. Similarly, on a buy two get one free sale, you could only use two coupons, not three. It doesn’t have anything to do with manufacturer coupons for free products. At least, that is how we are all interpreting it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope that helps!

    • Collin

Basically it means that they no longer allow you to use a coupon for the free item on a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale. ๐Ÿ™

      • CJ

Okay, thanks! I never try to use a coupon on a B1G1 sale for the free item anyway. Just wanted to make sure they still would take free coupons like from Coke Rewards and Facebook promos that get mailed.

        • Craig

Oh that bites! Thank you Extreme Couponing show! lol

          • mary

So I have a question then … if you were to use a B1G1 coupon when CVS was having a B1G1 sale, could you then get another free item? Essentially paying for 1 but getting 3? (Because one was made free from the sale and one was made free from the coupon?)

            • Kathy

              YES, you can!!

            • MissyLiz

But it would make more sense to get 4…..Pay for 1, 1 free with the coupon and 2 free from the sale!!

  10. Kristina

I just checked my ExtraCare account on CVS.com and I have a $4/20 coupon!!! Even sweeter candy deal!!!!!

    • Nancy

      Hi Kristina,
Is there an expiration date for the $4/20 coupon?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Mine say 10-4

      • Kristina

It depends when you click send to card

      • Tanya

i’ve noticed, with the send to card option they expire sooner, if you print them, they expire later… but only a day or two either way, so just depends when you plan to go. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • jmartcougar

I need one of those right now to make the spend 30 get 10 deal even better lol

  11. Emily Slowiak

do the sales start tonight? or tomorrow am?

  12. stephanie

The Prevacid rebate specifies 28 count only so it will not be free if you buy the 42 count. You can see the rebate online as well at http://www.prevacid24hr.com

    • Collin

Thanks Stephanie! I just corrected that!

  13. Teresa

    Thanks Collin ,
I love that you add in coupons to use for the up coming paper coupons.

    Ex. 10/2

  14. Russ

The Prevacid rebate is only valid on the 28-ct. (By the way, this is a WAY better deal at RiteAid this week).

    • Collin

Oops! You’re right – the deal at Rite Aid is a HOT one this week! ๐Ÿ˜€

  15. Jess

For the printable Pepsi coupons (Lipton, Cheetos, etc) it states Stater Bros. on the top of it…is that a store? And will we still be able to use it here?

    • Susan

I used one today here in NC at a Lowes Food (no relation to Stater Bros.) so I would assume no problem at CVS!

      • Liz R

As long as it states “Manufacturer Coupon” you can use it anywhere. Just like the “Redeemable at Wal-Mart Qs” in All You.

    • melissa

cvs coupon policy says they don’t accept q’s with other store logos on them.

      • Shaina

It does not say that they won’t take coupons with other logos. It says they won’t take competitor’s coupons, which would mean that they won’t take ones that state something like “Publix Coupon,” “Target coupon,” etc. Could someone point out exactly where they state that they don’t take logo coupons? Cause I can’t find it

        • melissa

          if you go to
          https://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/help/help_subtopic_details.jsp?subtopicName=Help%20with%20all%20other%20CVS/pharmacy%20issues&topicid=200018

The 1st question says what types of manuf q’s does CVS accept, underneath the answer is says
Note: CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturersโ€™ coupons with another retailerโ€™s logo.
          ..
I wanted to use the $1 Softsoap body wash coupon from the Walgreens summer booklet last week, and the cashier would not accept it [I pointed out the coupon does say on the bottom redeemable at Food, Drug, and other stores accepting coupons]
She called the manager and he said sorry, the new policy is not to accept any q’s with other retailer names. He said manufacturers are starting to crack down and not reimburse stores who take q’s with other store logo’s b/c those are deals cut between the store & retailer. The retailer looses out if the customer uses a logo’d coupon at another store.

          • Shaina

Technically that’s not in the policy it’s in the help section. The offical policy does not state that.

            • melissa

well, the part about using a coupon on a free item is not in the official policy either, just the FAQ, and Collin seems to be abiding by that….??

I have been doing my own search about this, asking different store managers and they all have told me the same thing: coupons with other store logos or say ‘redeem at [x] store’ are meant for those stores, and the chances of getting reimbursement are very slim now (one manager said it was ‘thanks to that show’) Another manager said retailers go into agreement with manuf, and with the new data bar codes, manuf can embed that info within the bar code, and pretty soon those q’s that are meant for store A will beep at store B.
              .
I used to think it was like a subliminal message to get you to that store, but have since changed my stance. If I’m doing another store a disservice of possibly not getting reimbursed, I’m not going to use a logo’d coupon.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I thought that you could only use one like CVS coupon per transaction. Seems to me that when I have tried more than one they would beep & be declined. Are the $2 CVS Centrum coupons different?

    • Kathy

I’ve noticed that too. Technically I think it is allowed, but you might have to do 2 transactions. I politely requested that they just remove an item that they wouldn’t allow the 2nd CVS for, and they allowed it. I think it depends on the store/cashier.

      • MissyLiz

A lot will depend on the management at your particular store. Since CVS deals track with your extracare card, you don’t have to do everything in one transaction. That being said, at my store I will allow more than one identical cvs coupon per transaction if it keeps the lines moving. I’d rather override one store coupon so that I don’t have to put up with someone demanding to be rung up multiple times.

  17. Jen @ MyPotpourriWorld

    Thanks, Collin! ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Marija

The pronutients coupon says one per purchase…

    • PG

One per purchase and one per transaction are different things. Almost all coupons say one per purchase. ๐Ÿ™‚

Each item in a transaction is a purchase. “One per purchase” means you can’t use two manufacturer coupons on one item.

If the coupon said “one per transaction” (which they do sometimes) that means you can only use one each time you’re rung up.

      • Marija

        Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Denise

Thanks so much for all your hard work. Also, congrats on the shout out you got in All You mag.

    • mom2five

      Yes…Congrats Collin !! Very cool….and you deserve it! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Collin

Thanks so much! That was definitely a fun surprise! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Michelle

Which issue? Yeah! Congrats and I can’t wait to see!

      • Stephanie

October Issue, there is an article that Hip2Save is highlighted in! ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Craig

Oh how cool. Will have to look for it.

          • jill

Actually she was in two different articles! I was so excited!

  20. Jake

The $2/1 Reach toothbrush printable seems to be Walmart only? Mine has a logo on it that says “Redeemable at Walmart”.

    • Collin

This may vary based on your cashier, but as long as the coupon doesn’t state “redeemable ONLY at Walmart” then it’s actually a manufacturer’s coupon that can be used anywhere! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • melissa

        politely disagree.

        Q. What type of coupons does CVS/pharmacy accept?
        Hide Answer

        A. CVS/pharmacy accepts CVS/pharmacy Coupons (ExtraBucksยฎ Rewards, offers at register or printed from CVS.comยฎ) and valid internet/print at home coupons containing a barcode. We also accept original third party manufacturer coupons that contain a barcode and must not be a reproduction or a rebate.

Note: CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturersโ€™ coupons with another retailerโ€™s logo.
        .
While the store may accept it, they might not get reimbursed in the end ๐Ÿ™

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Saving star has a new coupon for 2 off of huggies slip on diapers so the deal would then be down to as low as 2.99.

    • Collin

Sweet! I just added that into the post! ๐Ÿ™‚

  22. Sara

Question. If you have a B1G1 coupon, can you use a cents off coupon on the item that you’re getting for free? Because I’ve seen a couple of different matchups for the Dove ECB deal. This is the one I have a question about:

    (6) Dove Shampoo, Conditioner, and Stylers – $3.00
    Total Cost: $18
Less: (3) B1G1 Dove Hair Care Products (10/02 RP)
AND: (3) $.75/1 Dove Hair Care Treatment (10/02 RP)
Get Back: $5 ECB wyb $15
Final Price: $.35 each wyb 6!!

Is this something that will work??

      • Sara

Thanks, Collin! I was kind of thinking it wasn’t an ethically legit deal.

    • Karisa

I bought 6 of the shampoos (they had some bottles that were larger and said 33% more so I grabbed these for an even better deal), and used 3 B1G1 offers, and then the printable coupons from coupons.com for $0.75 off each ( I wasn’t sure if they would work but they did) for 3 of them. And then got the $5 ECB so they were $0.29 each for large bottles!!

  23. Liz R

Is the BOGO Dove Q for ANY Dove? Or just women’s? IE can I use it on the dove for men?

  24. Pretrice

I purchased the $30 p&g deal at cvs today once the new sale started. the 40 load rang up for 2.97. I thought it was 5.97 on sale. The shelf price was 8.99…..????????

    • Collin

      Ohh that’s awesome!!

    • kidsallgone

      “40 load” what?
      Sorry so dumb here ๐Ÿ™
      Thanks for the reply ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Drina

40 load – probably the size of Gain or Tide

      • Pretrice

        gain powder

        • MissyLiz

the 40 load gain/tide powders have been clearanced out…

  25. guidryab

My CVS ad has the Garnier Fructis 4/$15 and not 5/$15.

    • nikki

      mine too…

      • Amanda S.

I’m in North Tx and our CVS had signs 4/$15 which isn’t bad if you NEED shampoo, but still not the best stock up price for us. I buy it $1 or less. ๐Ÿ™‚ Those would be $1.50 each after 4 coupons and ECB.

    • Jo-Ann

      Same here in No. Cali.

  26. Jackie

Both of the links to the Garnier printable coupons are not working – looks like they are out of prints. Bummer ๐Ÿ™

  27. jmartcougar

Does CVS limit how many detergents I can get? I want to get 3 tide and 2 gain and one puffs to make my total $30.84. I have seen them limit dish soap but but it wasn’t part of a sale…

    • Stephanie

You don’t have to buy all of it in one transaction to get your ECB. As long as you make a $30 purchase before the sale is over, you will get them. Hope that helps ya ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Kathy

Normally if there is a limit the ad states it. I’m not a believer in taking too many regardless, (I personally think it is rude), but your transaction is totally reasonable, in my opinion. You have to buy $30 to get the deal, so they should expect some duplicates! Good luck!!

  28. Ms Tee

I have a question! I’m new to couponing…for the Dove Deal..

Let’s say I buy a $6 dove bar soap (with $1 off coupon)
and a $6 Lever Body Wash (with $1 off coupon)
and a Dove deodorant $3.49 ($1 off coupon)

would that work or am I using too many coupons? plus I have the $2 Extra buck reward coupon.

I apologize if this sounds jumbled together but I’m only two weeks into couponing lol basically, with this deal, I want to get body wash and deodorant. Thanks!

    • Stephanie

No, you can use one coupon per item (unless the coupon says otherwise. Ex. $1 off two items) And you can use your ECB on any transaction (other than items stated…I think dairy, prescriptions, and some other stuff). So, you can do exactly what you said above. Good luck with your couponing ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Kathy

You are doing great! Did you sign up for CVS Beauty club? If not, you should, it’s free and you get $5 ECB for every $50 in cosmetics, facial products, bath and body, hair care and deodorant, so you’ll have a good start towards this! https://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/promoContent/promoLandingTemplate.jsp?promoLandingId=1350&stop_mobi=yes&WT.mc_id=B_100311_CVSHome_BeautyClub

Be sure and egister your CVS card online too, you’ll get coupons e-mailed to you, and you’ll get a $4off $20 to use when you sign up. (if you are new)
You can give them this cpn before manuf cpns, so makes for some great deals!! You’d only need a few more items other than your Dove deal to use it!
      https://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/user/home/home.jsp
      Happy couponing!

  29. Ze

It says “CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturersโ€™ coupons with another retailerโ€™s logo” so even though the printable Starter Bro’s coupons are manufacture coupons, CVS might not accept them.

  30. Brianna

Thank for posting the matchups every week. I really appreciate it!

  31. Genevieve

The deal you posted with regard to the Pepsi products doesn’t make sense to me. It states “extrabucks offer limit of 1 per household.” So, how are you doing the transaction twice??

    • melissa

she was giving 2 different scenarios to choose from.

  32. erica

If you got the free Swiffer 360 from Vocalpoint, it came with lots of great coupons you can pair with Collins deal to make it even sweeter!!!
    Swiffer sweeper 8.99
    Refill 3.99
    Dry refill 3.99
    Use $2.00/swiffer sweeper plus
Free refill with sweeper purchase plus
    $2.00/refill
    $16.97 before coupons, $8.98 after coupons and get a $ 5.00 ECB
    $1.33 EACH

    • Sara R

Thanks Erica for posting this. I forgot about those coupons! Got a great deal this am!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Used mine too!

        I got:
        2 febreeze air effects @ 2.99
        1 febreeze fabric refresher @ 4.99
        1 swiffer refill @ 3.99
        Total: 14.96

        Used
-1.00 off air effects from 10/2 PG
        -2.00 off 2 febreeze from 10/2 PG
        -2.00 swiffer from vocalpoint
-1.00 off febreeze refresher from 10/2 PG

        OOP=8.96, got a $5 ECB back
That’s like getting each from .99! I was just happy none of my coupons beeped and I got the ECB even though I was not technically over $15.

        • melissa

I think you used 1 to many coupons???

You have 4 items. One of your coupons is off 2, which leaves 2 items to use coupons on.

But thanks for confirming the ECB prints a few cents short. What I want to get adds up to $14.97 and didn’t want to buy something else if I didn’t need to!!

          • Alison

My total for this deal was 14.96 and mine printed out ๐Ÿ™‚

    • jmartcougar

I have a coupon from vocalpoint for 2.50 off any bounce dryer bar to makes this deal even sweeter plus 2.00 off starter kit and 2.00 off refill and I plan to use 5 ECB. Pay $5.47=5 ECB!!! Now thats a deal!

  33. Rachel

I couldn’t find the pepsi 2/$3? Am I missing something?

    • mom2five

      mine only had a 55cent coupon ๐Ÿ™

    • Kathy

I also only got the .55 cpn, but some got none, so I guess we should be happy!!

  34. Ana

Thank u for posting the store policies on coupons and for the store guides u guys r the bestest ๐Ÿ™‚
I had a question regarding the $15.00+ sale on Dove that gives u back $5.00 ECB
if I use the 2 buy 1 get 1 free coupon, the $1.00 off the dove deo AND the $.75 off dove hair
Will i still receive the ECB for $5.00 even though i’ll b paying $7.75

    • Jennifer

yes…as long as your total before coupons was $15, it will print.

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

very disappointed with my cvs they do not carry the correct size Tide or Gain. They had a 30 load and 55

  36. C

Dove ECBs didn’t print for me. On the bottom of my receipt it says I still need to spend $3.xx to get the ECBs. Weird? I bought 2 shampoos, 2 conditions, and 1 deodorant and used the coupons posted.

    • Ana

NO WAY ๐Ÿ™ that’s not cool i’ll ask for a manager before i ring up and i will post to inform if there may b something w/the dove scenario . . .

      • mouni

The great thing about CVS (unlike Rite Aid) is If you tell the cashier and she sees that you spent enough she’ll print your ECBs on the spot. No questions asked. ๐Ÿ™‚
On another note, I love how hip2savers are reporting on deals and helping each other. ๐Ÿ™‚

  37. ash

I have a question about swiffer sweeper. can i use the $5 swiffer starter kit coupon from p&g coupon organiser and also use the refill free coupon?

    • ash

i just read its for swiffer vac

  38. Craig

In W.MI at least, the Brain Strong is $29.99 and $19.99 AFTER the ECB.

  39. Susan

I found packages of the Reach toothbrushes (Total Care 2 pack) with $2.00 peelies so free after ECBs without using any Q’s I already had.
They also had 2 packs of Reach by Design with $2.00 peelies that might work. If interested check out at the kiosk to see if sale price shows. If so I would assume the ECBs will print.

  40. Christa

Thanks for your matchups. Here are changes I made to 2 of them.

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to check your binders, recently (sorry I don’t remember which week) the magic coupon machine spit out a $3 off any hair color purchase. Combined with the coupon match up above it makes a nice deal on Hair Color. Much to the relief of my roots! LOL!

  42. romy

are the cvs centrum coupons gone?

  43. weaver

My Q for $2/1 Tide states powder and my CVS only carries liquid detergents.

    • Lindsey

      Mine too. ๐Ÿ™

  44. Pepi

Has anyone tried using the Centrum Pronutrient coupons? The CVS one is not working properly and the machine always rejects it. Kinda sucks…

  45. Nicole

I received a CVS coupon in the mail for the $2.50 off the Huggies Slip-On Diapers. That makes the out of pocket cost $3.49, then $1 ECB, & $2 Saving Star account. Yay, for $.49 diapers!!

    • Kathy

      WOW, that is sweet!!

    Hey Collin,
Just wanted to let you know that at CVS yesterday when I got the Dove deal they had the men’s plus care deodorant in BOGOF packs for the same price! So everyone keep your eyes peeled ๐Ÿ™‚ PLUS when I scanned my card at the magic coupon machine it printed me off a $2 ECB ๐Ÿ˜€

I was happily surprised by some lower-priced Covergirl face products at my CVS. I scored:

    2 Covergirl blush $4.79 each
    Minus B1G1 50% off sale = $7.19 for both
Use the $8/2 coupon found in the 10/2 P&G
    Final cost better than free!

For the Dove deal I was able to use both the BOGO coupons and the 75 cent coupons. I bought 4 Dove shampoos/conditioners and 1 Dove Men deodorant. I used two BOGO coupons and two 75 cent coupons with the $1 deodorant coupon. I paid $6.99 and got the $5 ECB.

So.. apparently my CVS still takes both coupons. ๐Ÿ˜€

Did you hand in the bogo coupons first or the .75 first.
      Does it make a difference?

I was at my sister’s local CVS and I tried useing 4 coupons for the Garnier deal and the cashier said that I could not use all 4 coupons only 1 per purchase. My question to you is was she right or not? extremly confused..
