Why won’t it accept the FESTIVE code? This is so frustrating and then I go back and put it in again and then it needs all my info put back in, it doesn’t remember.

On retailmenot, the FESTIVE code had an expiration date of 11/15 so I’m guessing when the site got slammed with traffic after being posted to H2S, they yanked it.
I just spoke with customer service at Ten Thousand Villages. They explained that the FESTIVE code wasn’t intended to be used with the cyber Friday sale. They are non-profit, and very thankful for the free publicity and sorry that the promotions can’t be mixed. btw – I got the Kitchenaid mixer on Monday, thanks Collin!

Well now I’m wondering if the jewelry is nice enough to spend $9 shipping. I wanted 4 sets of the blue necklace/earrings to go together for 4 nieces. Can I get the same thing at like JCP or WM jewelry counter, anyone know about the quality?
It’s very nice quality, from what I’ve ordered- I’ve ordered jewelry several times, and ornaments. Truly. That said, I really don’t like to pay shipping, and $9 is a lot, so I’m not sure what I’d do. I do know it’s much nicer than Walmart quality, if that helps at all.
Thanks Sarah, I appreciate that. I’m glad to know it’s better than what I’d find at WM. I went ahead and ordered even though the shipping is $9. With the prices on the necklaces/earrings being $3 and $2 the shipping cost will be ok.
I have several jewelry pieces from TTV, and I LOVE them. They are handmade, however, so some are fragile. I’d also check to see what metal they are before ordering, because not all are good for sensitive ears (look for those with sterling hooks or silver plating). Hope this helps.
Like someone mentioned before, this is a fair trade, non-profit group. Each of there stores is operated solely by volunteers. This allows them to put as much of the profits as possible back towards the vendors and artisans who make all the goods. It also means, however, that it’s very difficult for them to do free shipping. I mind the shipping a little less than I would with a for-profit company since it’s a good cause AND I get some great shopping done, too! 🙂

Darn, wish I had not already ordered. That would’ve saved me $3.00 so it would have cut that $9 shipping down to $6, at least. Oh well, I hope the jewelry is nice. 8 items for an average of $3.70 each is good, if it’s nice.

I’ve ordered from this site before, and am on their mailing list. They sent me this and I clicked to the site and after a long wait, only saw maybe six items. It was annoying as well, because the top part of their page is locked, so when you scroll down, it blocks the view of items you want to see. I gave up after five minutes. Simply not worth it at all anymore,
So annoyed! Wanted to order the teardrop earrings and matching necklace, free shipping or not. Every time I have added to my ‘basket’, the regular, not sale price, is listed. Also, none of the codes are working. So no $2 or $3 earrings or necklace for me. Sad:(
