Why would Kraft make you pay for coupons and recipes? I’m sure the 20 recipes can be found on its Web site. Why can’t Kraft just offer it free in-store on displays or as a free printable? Remember when the Kraft magazine was free? Sigh. So disappointed in Kraft. Other companies give away their coupons all day long. Talk about bad marketing. Does Kraft want to promote and sell products or turn people totally off by them by making coupons scarce or making people buy their coupons now?

I’m guessing companies will be moving away from tearpads and in-store coupon displays. When was the last time you saw a non-empty pad? Companies are probably sick of those ending up on ebay and not with their intended in-store impulse purchaser.

      • mel

Maybe its your area, but the grocery stores around here, I can always find tearpads and displays with coupons, even full blinkie machines. I doubt they will move away from that, its marketing.

      • Lori

ITA!!! I see blinkies, tearpads, Publix booklets, etc for sale all the time on Ebay! It makes me sick!! So, I’m all for whatever needs to be done to prevent sellers from profitting from coupons that were intended to be FREE to ALL!!! Few bad/greedy ones spoil it for all of us! Smh…

      • carla

I agree with Midget…I see em all the time on Ebay..Folks trying to make a buck at the companies expense..Can’t blame the companies though…What I can’t figure out is that we all know that it’s against the law to sell coupons so the sellers all put that we’re not paying for the coupons but paying for the service to clip, sort (etc) My question is What clipping/ what sorting are they doing..all they are doing is taking a full tearpad.. It’s not clipping or sorting it’s stealing.

    • Christina

because the kraftstore is powered by HSN, you can check there website. Sometimes they will send you a book such as this in the mail for free, but it never contains any coupons, just recipes

    • Laura

      I agree with you Joy.

  2. patti

Whoa – seems like a bad idea to me – Companies CHARGING for their coupons they use to get us in the store to buy their products? Don’t like that too much!

  3. Toya Livermore

What is the list of coupons and their value? When do they expire?

    • THERESA N

      GREAT ????? 🙂

    • shawna!!!

So, i zoomed in on the coupons they have showing in the image and the expiration on the top is 05/31/2012…maybe it is worth it because we all know how fast coupons expire nowadays! Hopefully, i am correct and that this helps you a bit.

  4. Michelle

Isn’t this just like the recipe books that you’d purchase from the grocery store (up front by the check out lanes) and you’re getting the coupons as a bonus? That’s my thinking…

  5. mel

ummm… Pillsbury sells cook booklets (usually found right around ckout registers), sometimes they have coupons in the back (very very far and few between now, but when I first got into couponing, I remember buying them from time to time – just for the coupons!)

  6. Ashley57

This is reminding me more of the chick-fil-a calendar. Coupons are a bonus. Do you guys think they will be pretty high value? I do buy mac n cheese and such. Wonder if it would be worth it.

  7. Because I Saw It On Pinterest

    ShopAtHome! 6%.

    • THERESA N

I was wondering about that!!!!!!! Thanks! 😉

    • virginia

      thanks 🙂

I am not seeing where it is 2.99 I am seeing 4.99 with free shipping. Am I missing something?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Use code save2 during checkout and the price will be reduced. 🙂

  9. Pj

I figure w just the $1.00/2 cheese if it doubles it’ll pay for itself. Ya know as much as I hate to admit it this may be r next reality for couponer’s. Wonder if their Dnd?

  10. Christina

It is not letting me pay by paypal, nor enter a promo code, gonna try again later maybe site is too busy

  11. Jacquie

How is paying for this any different than buying a sunday paper? I think it is a good deal 🙂

    • Ashley57

      Agreed.

      • Ashley57

I went ahead and just bought one. Figured I will at least be able to make up my money.

    • Lindsay

Agreed. These are high value coupons that we don’t see in newspapers. I’m going to get one to use when my local grocery store does super doubles, it makes for better than just breaking even!

    • Krista

      agreed

    • Sarah Fidler

Totally agree!! Personally I think people complain too much 😀

  12. Rebecca

You know it really isn’t any different than buying an All You Magazine. I have seen these coupons the last couple of years and they are usually really good.

  13. Emily

    Sold out!

  14. Jean

Not sold out – I just got it!

  15. Mary

    Got one… For $3 i’ll try it 🙂 Thanks!

  16. Melissa

Agree – same as buying All You. Tha maazne is not worth reading and I throw it away after I clip the coupons but I feel like it’s a big waste of paper.

    • Lindsey

      Please recycle it. 🙂

  17. Melissa

    That was magazine : )

  18. Sue

HSN says Save2 is not a valid coupon code. The HSN rep I spoke to tries it, and it didn’t work. He looked up Hip2Save and did not find it in his system.

Also, when I put the item in my shopping cart, it added postage because I live in Alaska, even though the mailing rates are no higher to Alaska.

  19. Angela Regan

    ordered 1, thanks

  20. Jesse

I was trying to check out but I didn’t see anywhere I could enter the code (SAVE2). Am I overlooking something? At what stage during checkout do you see the “enter promo code” box”? Is it after you enter all your shipping and credit card info?

    • ebony

you have to go through the screens, you enter it at the same time as your payment info. You can APLLY it before you pay. It just worked for me

  21. Melissa

I was at my local commissary yesterday and they had these out on a display to take. DOD shoppers keep your eyes open.

  22. Tammy F

    Worked fine……

  23. Krista

I don’t really see as much different than paying for the paper to get coupons. I don’t see many tearpads at my local grocery 🙁

  24. Debbie

Think it is a great promoption. EVERTHING cannot be free or a handout. Looks to me like most of the coupons are at least $1 off 1 product which makes them high value and worth the purchase. I did not hesitate when this deal was posted, should have bought two.

  25. Amy S.

I am kinda with the complaints here…kinda another way of honest, hard working couponers trying to save a buck to get a kick in the arse. 🙁 But, alas, I’m a recipe fiend and as such, the coupons will be a bonus. Hopefully good coupons/show stopper recipes, which isn’t unusual for Kraft. I’ll get one if it works for me.

Thanks for the wonderful post. The people complaining have a right to feel that way and those who aren’t also have a right to see the justification here. IMHO, that is.

  26. Ashley57

Hey guys – if you bought one of these and have not received it yet, I would suggest calling HSN. I just called them because I had not gotten the item, and they said I should have, but now the product is sold out, so they refunded my money. The phone number is 1-800-933-2887.

    • Jacquie

Thank you so much for the update. I have been getting the run around from customer service to wait a little longer and wait some more…now I know just to ask for a refund 🙂

  27. Lindsey

I still haven’t received my order. I’ve emailed and they won’t respond. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
