As you may know from my Walgreens post here, you can score very inexpensive Tylenol this week at Walgreens! Here’s how…
Tylenol 24 ct or liquid 8 oz, Children’s Sudafed PE 4 oz 2/$10 = $5 RR
Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 Tylenol Cold liquid 8oz 2/$10
Use 2 $2/1 blinkie coupons found in-store
(or if you store doesn’t have the blinkie coupons, use 2 $1/1 coupons found here)
Pay as low as $6
Get back a $5 RR
Final cost $1 total – $0.50 each (or $3 total – $1.50 each with $1/1 coupons)

I purchased the vicks dayquil and also got a catalina for free breath right strips.
I just did this same transaction at Wags today and I asked if I could go back and get my breathe right strips. They said that would be another transaction and that corporate only allows one transaction per day!!!
Ha, that’s crazy, next time I wouldn’t ask, I would just go get them and check out. Are they seriously going to tell you that you can only checkout once?! If that’s really a rule then it’s surely only for keeping people from shelf-clearing freebie items…
Not to be rude but I knew I was gonna have a fight when I went into the store. The only cashiers there were really old grumpy looking ones. I prefer the 24 hour stores because nobody is there at 2 in the morning.
That store may only allow one transaction a day, but it’s certainly not a corporate policy that I’m aware of. I wouldn’t have even asked – I would have just gone to get the Breathe Right strips and gotten back in line 😉 But my Walgreens is not as strict as I’ve heard some can be.
Kristen is right—that’s your store’s policy, no corporate (or else we’d all be affected by it!) That’s a horrible policy and those Breathe Right Strips shouldn’t even count as a transaction since they’re completely free, without any money exchanged. At least it has a long expiration date.
I think I am done with Walgreens for a while. I have 2 toddlers and a full time job so I don’t have time to keep going back and forth to Wags. Fortunately I live in metro area so I have 2 rite aids and 2 cvs within 5 miles of my house.
I have done many transactions one after another before….you may need to find another Walgreens to shop at that has nicer cashiers?

I know! You are welcome! They were both free with the new $2.50/2 coupon! I think they were originally over 6 dollars each! My store had plenty of shades left. My daughters love to add them to birthday presents for their friends.
I looked for the Covergirl lipglosses at my store….I did not find them. Can you tell me if they were by the other Covergirl items? Also, do you know what the regular price was on them? Thanks!!
I have two stores in my area and both had them in the regular Cover Girl section. They were marked by bright orange clearance tags. They were originally priced at $8.99!
So, I am new to this so sorry for my asking, but doesn’t this mean you still have to put out the initial $6.00 first? You can’t you the RR on your transaction right? NOT that this isn’t a good deal still, but I have very little money and want to be sure I have this straight. It would only be the second transaction where you can get it down to $1.00 right?
yes, you pay the $6 (plus tax) first. Then when your reciept prints out, it will also print your register rewards (RR) and the breath right strip coupon. You can then use the RR on something else, it counts as cash. Some stores let you turn around and use them right away, some stores make you come back later
You can also roll between deals. Use the $5RR from the Triaminic deal to pay for the Tylenol/Sudafed deal, and then use that $5RR to pay for the Triaminic deal again. Just go back and forth. You can also do that with the Lichi Super Probiotic and the Nutralife SAMe vitamins. There are lots of rolling opportunities this week and that keeps your out-of-pocket $$ much lower. Then use your RR’s from this week for next week’s purchases, instead of starting all over again. I’ve been rolling mine for a year now and spend very little out of pocket. When you get money makers (such as $1 on the Triaminic deal), you can get another item that you would otherwise have to pay that amount for; such as the Aussie/Herbal Essence that gets down to .99—if you bought the Triaminic ($4 after coupons) and Aussie ($2 after coupons) together, it would cost $6 and then you’d get back $6 in RR’s ($5RR and $1RR), making the Aussie free. Hope that wasn’t too confusing.

I am plannig to purchase the Enfamil/Enfagrow formula and I have 2 catalinas that were printed while ago. Since I never used catalina in Wags before can anyone answer my question please. Can I use the $5.00 printed coupon from internet for the enfamil and the $5.00 catalina also. Is it like an RR or I cannot use them together? Thank you so much.
if it says, “manufacturer’s coupon” on the top, you cannot stack the two coupons. but if it’s a Wags coupon you should be able to!

That answered my question. It actually says manif. coupon ” on the top” , so I guess I will use either of them since they both have the same value e.i. $5.00 of 1 can of enfamil.

Anybody know, if I buy more cold meds and Nasal strips using that FREE catalina coupon from the first transaction, would another Nasal Strips coupon not print out just as it wouldn’t had this been a register reward for the same deal?

I got 2 tylenol produts and used the blinkies but didn’t get the cat for the breathright. Very said here in “portland Or”. 🙁

I bought two liquids at Bethany Walgreens & Fairview Walgreens and got catalinas for BR both times.
I bought 2 of the plain tylenol “sore throat” liquids and it did NOT print the breath rite coup… but it DID print when I bought 1 “sore throat” and 1 multi-symptom Tylenol liquid. HTH

I did two transactions of this and only got it on one of the transactions. 1 free box is fine with me. Free is free.
I got 2 Catalinas for the Breathe Right strips, but I am not sure if I got them both in the Sudafed transaction or if I also got one in one of my other transactions. I had the Triaminic on one and the AlkaSeltzer Cold/Alleve on another. Bummer though – my walgreens wouldn’t let me use the IVC for Triaminic because I didn’t buy the ‘dual’ pack.

I am new to “extreme” couponing and made out pretty good in the last few days at Walgreens. Last week I scored the condoms paid $5 got a $5 RR plus the $5 catalina for KY. Today I ended up doing numerous separate transactions so I could use the RR. I had to add filler items to use the RR because of all the coupons I had. Found some pencils that were 4/1.00 and were marked down 50%. Added a pencil when I needed to to get everything to work.
The breathe right strips catalina didn’t print for me in Mississippi. 🙁
Paid $14 for $53 of sale merchandise almost 75% savings. Not bad for just starting this week.

I did this deal today and got the free strips coupon too. Of course they didn’t have any on the shelve so I’ll hold onto it for later. I was just walking around and found huge bottles of Walgreens shampoo for $1.29/bottle. My husband’s getting into saving money so he says buy all of them! Then the Garnier Fructis dandruff shampoo’s were on clearance so I got over $15 of them to get the $5rr. Great deals at Walgreen’s today!!!
Funny story… My hubby made a quick trip to walgreens to get me a new contact case. After paying for the $3 case, a catalina printed out for the free breathe right strips. He was so excited to show me when he got home! So it must be printing for things in certain categories in the computer system.
THe “honey” tylenol tastes awful. My mom has the flu, so we tought it would be perfect b/c of the deals. We got two daytime honey warming liquids and they are repulsive. I don’t doubt their efficacy just wish they would taste better.
I only purchased a newspaper and also received the Free Breathe Right Nasal Strips for 10 ct or 12 ct only Catalina!! I watched it print so I know it was with my transaction.
Personally, I still have issues with the quality of Tylenol’s products since last year’s MASSIVE recalls of virtually every product they manufactured….. Motrin 24 count was just recalled AGAIN at the Walgreens I work at 2 days ago. How can a drug company keep having “oops” with the chemical makeup of something that’s suppossed to be used to make me feel better when I’m not feeling good??
I’m not saying that their products aren’t good, but as a personal opinion, I’m still uneasy using their products until they stop recalling their stuff for “quality concerns” every other month.

I didnt get the tylenol cold but I did get the childrens cheweable Advil that were on sale for $5 my, which then gives u $3 RR. That makes them $3.50 each well then two catalina coupons printed as well that were $1 off any childrens advil product.
Also at my store there is Pantene on clearance for 2.69. Use the three dollar on 2 get both for 2.38. Thats 1.19 each. Maybe u guys should see if your Wags has that deal as well.

I did two transactions of Tylenol products. The caplets did not produce the Breathe Rite catalina however the liquid did. We love those strips. They help my husband which in turn helps me sleep!

Had an interesting experience tonight doing the Tylenol deal. It wasnt accepting my second $2mfq for some reason, and then manager told me that because the top said “not subject to doubling” I couldnt use two of the same coupons, even though I had two bottles. I tried to explain to him about “doubling”, and he was like “well thats what our last corporate meeting said, obviously we have the blinkie machine so you could get them right over there….so thats why you cant use 2”. Needless to say, when he walked away, the cashier manually entered it in anyway after I told both of them I would just go to the walgreens down the street where the manager knew what “doubling” meant.
