Are you looking to spread love this Valentine’s Day to those who may need it the most?! Then check out this wonderful organization called Inspiration Through Art. Inspiration Through Art (formerly The Littlest Heroes Project) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to give back, and make a difference through the beauty of art.

Found in 2008, this organization is made up of professional photographers, artists, children, and other volunteers nationwide that provide free programs and services (like free photo shoots, special cards and mail, gift packages etc.) to children who suffer from any type of serious illness or life altering disability. Check out the 2012 Team of Heroes by clicking here.

And through February 1st, you can help Inspiration Through Art send Valentine’s Day cards to its little heroes. Here’s what you need to do…

Keep in mind that if you want to help in other ways, you can opt to donate stamps and/or white, red or pink envelopes. Click here for more information.

(Thanks for sharing this wonderful organization with me, Racheal!)

What a wonderful idea/concept! The company I work for wants to get into doing some more volunteer/charity so I will definitely spread the word.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I looked through every pic and read through many of the stories… so touching. I have a niece w special needs, so I will forward this to them. I think Im going to print this info off and bring it to my daughters daycare so they can make some valentines for those kids as well.
    Thanks Collin

This does not cost any money except the stamp to send it, correct? Just want to make sure I know about it before I pass it on! Thank you! 🙂

I just showed this to my boyfriend, and we are going to do this! What a great thing to do, especially on a holiday that is typically just about candy and fluff. I also pinned this on Pinterest to give it more publicity. I encourage others to do the same. If you don’t have Pinterest, the site also lets you like them on FB!

Anyone is able to participate, not just children! Thank you so much hip2save for passing on our information! 🙂 We have about 400 children signed up right now with our program and the numbers are growing daily, we hope to be able to send every child a card or two next month to let them know they are special! With your website and Facebook page I’m sure we will reach our goal! Thanks for helping us give back!

    • Peggy

We are sending around 200. The goal was 100, but that quickly change after reaching 100. Such a great way to let others know that we care.

Is there a website or organization you recommend where my daughter and I could send valentine cards to the troops??
