If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. …And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.

Also, as most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy a couple months ago… finally! You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.

My weekly ads had a walgreens only coupon for $1/2 Speedstick. It even shows the Wags example in the picture of 2/$5 plus the $2 RR and then use the coupon and it is 2/$2.

    • are318

If you have the coupon booklet from the Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste…there’s a 1.00 off coupon on any Speed Stick 🙂

  2. ana

jan all you mag got a $2 coupon for the Bic lighter to make it a dollar

  3. Mei Ling

My store ad has pepsi product 12pk 4/$13 and with the $3/4 coupon from the January Coupon Booklet, final cost $2.50 each

  4. Kelly K

I went to wags today, did not get a $6 RR for the lysol deal, and I also did the aleve deal with the alka seltzer ect and none of the online prices matched my store, still a good deal but just a heads up

    • Vanessa

Yes, that frustrates me too! The online prices are MUCH LOWER than in-store! IDK why Collin keeps putting them up like that, because it is misleading. Last week it screwed up 3 transactions for me because I wanted to get the Rembrandt and Neutrogena. Well those online prices were $1.50-$2.50 LESS than in store! I wasn’t able to get the deals like I’d hoped.

Does Walgreens have different prices at different stores, and just their sales are the same? Or do they keep it all the same? Just curious… I seem to live in an expensive area so my Walmart prices are a little higher on things too, so wondering if it’s just me.

      • Lynn

It is impossible for Collin to know the exact prices of every Walgreens store in America, as costs vary depending on region (even on sale items in the ad sometimes). Something I would assume everyone understands. Additionally, the only ‘base’ she has to go by for unadvertised items is the online price. Sometimes my store is higher than what Collin posts, and sometimes lower. You win some, you lose some. I understand this can be frustrating, but maybe you should take this into consideration before criticizing Collin in all her hard work she does for us.

      • Judy

I completely agree with lynn, Collin works hard on finding deals for us and we should be grateful for that, maybe scouting ahead of time might work for you vanessa.

        • Cheryl

I know it can be frustrating at times when you go to score your deal and it doesn’t match up with what you thought it “should” be, but a general rule of thumb when couponing is YMMV (your mileage may very). Just because it works for one person DOES NOT mean it is going to work for you. Frustrating, BUT unfortunately we have to accept that. When Collin posts these deals, she really does not have the time to go into each and every store to verify what the prices are. Seriously, even if she did, chances are they still would not be the same price in our area. Unfortunately, prices vary by region, just like our coupons vary by region too. She is going off of “online” prices just to give us an “estimate” of what we “may” be looking at. Online is WAYYYY different than in-store, I think in just about every aspect. A suggestion is to find a local blog (one in your area) and follow that one in addition to Hip2Save, maybe they will have a “closer estimate,” that is what I do. Just remember that no blogger guarantees a deal. They are just doing this to “help” us save money. I hope that helps. 🙂

      • Jaclyn

Collin’s job is not to spoon feed us everything!! We need to help ourselves too. You will never learn the art of couponing if you constantly rely on this site for EVERYTHING!! It is simply a guide to help you learn.

If you’re working a scenario, maybe just a quick call ahead to the store to ask them for pricing. Then you know for sure what you’re working with before you get there.

      • Todd

Prices vary by store. We have 3 walgreens in our small town and often all 3 stores will have a different price on the same item. If it is an advertised price it will be the same though. I have found the same to be true at CVS.

      • Lolo

yes different store have different prices. I have 2 stores in my area that are the same as the website prices and the others are all higher priced and one of those is higher than all others. You need to get to know prices in your stores and extrapolate accordingly to what Collin posts. She is not going to run out to a bunch of different stores to get various price ranges for everyone. She practically spoon feeds you already, do a little homework and learn how to adjust your scenarios accordingly on your own. Collin’s blog is meant as a guideline not as an exact blueprint for you.

Be on the look out for Women’s Rogaine on Clearance. I found them tonight in Fayetteville, Ga (Only two on the shelf so no more at the 24 hr. store) for 14.99. If you pair it with the $10 off coupon I think from last week its only 4.99. It doesn’t match up with the coupon in the January booklet because that one is for the three pack. But hey Rogaine for $4.99 is always great.

When I went to my Walgreens today (3 times) I bought the Thermacare Neck, Wrist and Shoulder patch for $2.50 expecting the $2.50 RR. I was surprised that each time, after the item was scanned, a coupon for $2 off any Thermacare product printed out – making the item 50¢ with a $2.50 RR. The cashier didn’t even blink an eye, took the coupon and scanned it right away. The last woman I had said, “Yes, this has been happening all day – it’s a $2 moneymaker!”

    • Christina

locations here won’t do that, they make you just buy again, but would never allow another RR, they will rip it and toss it in the trash. You got lucky with that one 🙂

      • Vanessa

That is not right! They can’t take your RR! I would call the Walgreens Police on that one!

        • Nancy

Here in NC, I received the $2 Coupon, but it was for the 2 pack, not the single pack that has the RR bucks!

      • Pam

The other ladies are correct. They can’t take a RR that prints out just because you used a coupon that printed in a previous transaction (unless it states as such on the coupon).

    • J Craig

My cashier did the same thing here in MI!! I went to the next store it printed again so I told the cashier I would like to use it, no problem!! Great surprise 🙂

      • mey

That’s incorrect. The coupon is for the 2 pack and not the single!

  7. Cynthia

I don’t have the schick coupon 🙁 it was not in the 12/4 nor the 1/14ss.. Is this a regional q ? I did get a $3 off schick disposable pack but not the $2 off intuition or Quattro cartilage

    • Vanessa

Yeah, they’re regnional. I NEVER get good Schick coupons!

  8. Autumn

I bought the Thermacare heatwrap and it produced a $2 manufacturer coupon that the cashier applied towards my purchase. Paid only .50 and received a $2.50 RR. Sweet!

    • Vanessa

Back on Black Friday this same thing was happening- BUT the coupon that prints is for $2 off the 2pk. I noticed this after my cashier automatically scanned it. I said it’s not for the single pack. She said, hey, it scans! I asked her to take it off cuz I felt dishonest about it. Have any of you checked to see if the one printing is for a 2pk also? I’m 99% sure it is, since the single pack retails for 2.49, they wouldn’t print a 2 coupon for it…

      • Shan

        Its for the two packs

      • Lorelei

I just posted a comment below before I refreshed and saw your comment. I was going to say this too. I got some $2 off coupons last week because it printed with the Precise Patches. When I went to use it today I noticed the coupon says 2ct+, but recalled people saying that it scanned so I wondered if other states got different catalinas. I guess not 🙁 bummer, I didn’t use the $2 off coupon either, but at least the heat wraps are still free! 🙂

  9. nicole

The lysols at my store didn’t come with free wipes =(

    • Shan

The store by me didn’t have the spray and wipes combo in stock:( Strange since it was in the ad.

  10. Kayla

theres a one dollar off of speed stick and lady speed stick deodorant in a coupone book you get from a bonus package colgate advanced toothpaste.

  11. shirl

If you read the small print on the $1/1 MQ for the lysol spray it states ” No more than 2 coupons for the same product can be used in the same transaction. I have seen a lot of this new wording lately on MQ. I have heard it’s to try to stop shelf clearing. I am not sure how the M can enforce this. I imagine if will be up to the stores to if they decide to or not.

  12. Allison

On the Target website there is a coupon for $2 off Advil Congestion relief and it’s a manufacturers coupon not a Target coupon

  13. Lorelei

at my store in michigan, the thermacare coupons that come out say they’re valid on the 2ct+ but the RR is only on the 1ct 🙁 are stores in other states printing out a coupon for ANY thermacare or is the coupon just going through anyway?

    • shirl

I think some are using it on the 1ct. But mine states $2 off a 2ct. It was still Free so I’m happy.

    • laurie

The 2ct does come off on the 1ct.. (I did it by accident cuz I didn’t read the coupon but there was no beepage) but technically your not supposed to use the coupon except on the 2ct.

  14. Cynthia Hansen

any super awesome fellow couponers on here want to share a $2 schick intuition coupon with me?? im in deperate need of some refills and never get this regional Q!

    • Lolo

I would give you some if you want to pay for the postage. provide me a way to contact you. I wish Collin had a way we could send a private message to someone on here so we don’t have to publish our personal info to everyone.

      • Cynthia

thank you! I would be happy to pay for postage. My email adress is dutchie@gmail.com

  15. Penny

Does anyone know if the Lichi Probiotic is a monthly register reward? And if not is there a monthly RR?

    • Lolo

the RR is a month long. Not sure if the sale price for $10 is all month long though…. it may be I am just not certain of that.

  16. thebeth

Nabisco deal: Even if your area received the $2/3 (instead of the $3/3), if you buy 6 and use 2 of those plus the Jan booklet pon, it would come to $8 ($1.33 ea).

    • kath

I got the 2/3 Still a nice deal. Hoping my store has some.

  17. Mersiha

I need a mail in rebate for the Birta pitcher but it is not available on the website anymore any Ideas

    • thebeth

Brita actually decided to NOT honor the mail-in rebate. Check their FB page for all the hoopla: “Brita FilterForGood”

  18. nicole

I finally found a store that carried the double packs of lysol! Not only did I get a great deal, but the Lysol has a try me free rebate on it for up to 5$ Actually surprised you didn’t post that yet collin =) Maybe I’m just lucky. Thanks for all you do for us!
