Albertsons: *HOT* Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent as Low as $1.49 (Reg. $7.99!)

So, I recently got an email about a *HOT* unadvertised sale going on at Albertsons AND since I live near an Albertsons now (Woo Hoo!), I went to check it out. Look what I found showcased near the front of the store…

Arm & Hammer laundry detergent 50 oz. on an unadvertised sale for $1.99 (w/ rewards card)

This detergent is regularly priced at $7.99, so this is a HUGE amount of savings to score with NO coupons! And, of course, you can sweeten this deal even further by using either the $1/2 coupon found in the January issue of All You mag. (making the detergent only $1.49 each) or  the $1/3 Arm & Hammer detergent coupon found here (to score detergent for only $1.66 each)! Also, my store was well stocked! 🙂

(Thanks for the heads up on this, Coupon Nerve!)

  4. McQCoupon

What if my Alberterson’s doesn’t do the Preferred Price Card anymore, will it still be $1.99?

  5. Lara

Check your online sale ad. My Albertson’s has Xtra detergent on sale for $1.99. I am guessing this is what they are substituting. ;(

    • Christine L-U

no 1.99 detergent in my ad, so i’m hoping to see this. will have to stop by on my way home from work…

  6. sara

Dang! we just Moved from Washington State to Reno! None for me this time! Thanks anyway Collin! :O)

Just picked up 15 bottles at the Tigard Albertson’s. No limit on this deal.

    • cindi

I live in tigard! What was the stock like before I head out there…

    • sheena

Im in tigard too, and was wondering if it was avaliable out here. Thanks for mentioning youre in tigard, so I know it is.

  12. MacKenzie

Wow! For the $1.99 price that’s just a little more than $0.06/load (looked like it was 32 loads in the picture). Or at $1.66 each that’s a little more than $0.05/load and at the $1.50 price it’s $0.047/load! What a great deal on laundry detergent, too bad I don’t live near an Albertson’s!!! 😛

    • E

I make my own. $0.03 a load!!! AND the BEST part is no plastic!!! It works better then other detergents as well and is fragrance free!

      • Laura

I make my own too. I think it’s around 4 cents to make. My husband has eczema so making my own helps his skin and our pocket book!

  13. Jen

Aww man WHY is there NO albertsons in central PA?! And a walgreens within 40 miles for that matter…

    • Susie Lichty

Thank you for all of you that put in the area where you live. I find that very helpful. I’m is Southern CA too, and now you have saved me a trip out! Thanks!

      • anonymous

      • Paulina

        Your welcome Susie 🙂

    • Laura909

WOW you got a deal! My Alberstons was $6.99 in chino hills, CA….

  18. crane1fam

Attention Albertsons Shoppers! Last Tuesday we tried using a “Redeemable at Walmart” manufacturer coupon with TTV’s. The cashier looked at it and went over to her manager who told her they couldn’t take it because it had the WM verbiage. I’m sure we have used these before at Albertsons. We pointed out that it said manufacturer coupon, but that didn’t matter. Anyone else have problem with this scenario? Or is she right? Thanks!

    • Kristina

My albertosons won’t let me use a coupon with any other stores name on it. Boo

  19. maggsb

Bummer. I’m in SoCal too 🙁 We never get the low prices that other areas get. Always a little bit more (or in this case, a lot more!)

    • cgatlf

SoCal always gets the “poop” end of the stick…I’m North next to Temec…

      • Katie

But don’t you guys ALWAYS get the good weather and beaches?

    • Laura

I just moved out of So Cal to Tennessee and So Cal prices are higher because of the cost of living.

  20. Allison

How do you get the rewards card? Do you have to apply? Can you do it online? Thanks.

    • LIzR

You just go up to the registers and they give you a little app to fill out. (basic info) They give you a card on the spot. It’s a club card (free). I’m sure you can do it online as well, but you’d have to wait for it in the mail. HTH

  21. yenay

    No deal in mkinney tx

    • Vicky

Thanks! I was headed there tomorrow. Did you go to Virginia Pkwy or Eldorado?

  22. yenay

    No deal in mckinney tx

  23. Rachel

I missed the post about you moving to Boise, Collin! Welcome to the Treasure Valley! I live in Nampa and have followed your site faithfully for months now. So happy you get to shop at Albertson’s, they are one of my faves. Thanks for all you do and again, welcome to the Gem State! 🙂

  24. Sarah

bummer on mckinney, thanks for saving me a trip 🙂

  25. Katrina

Can i use this at wal-mart? i dont have an albertsons around and i’d LOVE to score this but didn’t know if wal-mart would let me…thanks

    • LaToya

Walmart will honor competitor ads in the same market. So if you have an Albertsons ad with this item and this price, the Walmart in the same market will match it.

  26. Ferchi

    Florida too????

    • Toya

      No not in Florida 🙁

      • Ferchi

        thank you Toya.

  27. anita

I need to say that NOT all Albertson’s are owned by the same company. I just came from my local Albertons’s inTaos NM, and was told this. i was told this was not a sale in their store and that I should contact the store manager in the morning to find out exactly what is what.

    • LaToya

The Albertsons in Taos is owned by SuperValu – like all the rest of the Albertsons’. However, every market and their sale is different. Boise is an especially different market in that there is big competition between Fred Meyer, Walmart, Winco and Albertsons….and Albertons does double coupons here and in some other PNW areas and they do not do this in other markets. SuperValu (Albertsons) allows their markets to make decisions at the local level…so typically ads won’t be the same from one state to the next. A lot of it will be – but the prices and the in-store specials will not. I would guess that anything Collin posts here for Albertsons is generally going to be specific to the Boise market (Ada & Canyon county)….there could be some similarity in Ontario, OR and in to WA state….but generally it will be Boise specific.

  28. anita

Also, we do not have rewards cards here.

  29. Rebecca

I think Collin should have pointed out this deal is ONLY valid at Northwest Albertsons. (The ones that get the doublers). Any other Albertsons (in SoCal and Texas etc) are actually Albertsons LLC stores and ALWAYS have different sales.

    • DeAnna

As you know, Collin just moved to the Northwest and may not have realized this. She is merely passing on a deal she saw at her own Albertson’s and advised that people keep an eye out for it. Whether people want to venture out and check on the deal is completely up to them, not her. She works very hard to help her readers save money.

Thank you Collin! I will be heading out in the morning to see if this deal is available here in the raining capital that is Eugene, Oregon!

    • Christine

Regular price of 7.99 here in Bellevue, WA… i’m thinking it may be the same in other parts of seattle area as well

    • Amy

We get doublers in Southern California, but the deal was not going on here, as others have stated.

    • Grace

Hey Rebecca, let us just be greatful that Collin is passing on this info to all of us. We can’t all be perfect like you. Thank you Collin for helping us all save the big bucks!!!!

      • cindi

Ok, this might be treason to say but Collin doesn’t personally “see” these or most other deals for that matter first hand. She is taking deals that other people have found and e-mail her, and and assortment of other deals that circulate the internet, and yes probably some that she stumbles upon at the store, and complies them for us all in one place with easy convenient instructions. She works hard to do that and when deals first go live there are going to be errors in the information. I can tell you though that Collin is usually more up to date than any other deal site I visit…which means I can usually participate before the deal is sold dead.

  30. LIzR

I found the Brownie 8pk paper towels on sale (unsure if it was advertised) for $4.99 use the $1/1 printable from FB making them $3.99 (.50/roll) I know some could score the single rolls at walmart and possibly other stores for free but at mine they were .77/each after MFQ so this was a much better deal. Just throwing this out there 🙂

    • Amy

Was $6.49 at my store in southern cali. Boo.

  31. Margarita

Ok, you guys are going to hate me but I live on the opposite end here in CT and was completely mortified to see that this detergent (my fav) retails for 7.99??!! for the 50 oz size! Holy Smokes!! Here it averages $3.99 and it usually goes on sale BOGO, they allow doubling Q’s here too. And I complain that Downy is expensive! Maybe I should shut my mouth next time I do…makes me want to give away all my unused coupons to you guys in Cali!! Sorry guys…

    • meryl

who buys detergent at that price- and I do not even care for this one!!! that is crazy!!! I have made my own and buy but $7??? Yikes is right- and I live in s. ca- no idea who would buy this stuff unless it was the unscented, for a deal!!!

  32. DeAnna

Anyone find this deal in the Eugene/Springfield area? No go on 30th and Hilyard.

  33. Suzy

Not available in the Phoenix area either… BUMMER!

    • Heather

  40. jer

Picked up a bunch in Portland Oregon

  41. Jen

Keizer OR …….only on sale for $2.99 🙁

  42. Amanda

Anyone had luck at the 181st store in Portland? It’s just far enough I hate to drive out there on a Sunday when I could be lazy and spending time with my family lol. If not, it’ll wait till Monday!

    • Sam

You should call and get a price check, I did it at one of the Albertsons in Portland, and they had it on sale for 1.99. Best way to do it, is to call and asked them to price check for you on the Arm and Hammer sensitive skin one in 32 loads.

  43. Caro

The store on NE Prescott here in the People’s Republic of PDX has it for $1.99 today. I didn’t think to check the end date.

  44. Amy

Not a great deal. It *is* unadvertised, and I called my store to see if they had the display. They do, but, after looking at what I pay for Purex – roughly $8/150 oz., compared to this one – $2/50, I would be saving only $2 per 3. If it was Purex I’d probably make the short drive, but I’m not a huge fan of A&H, unless it’s a great deal. 🙂

  45. Jen

Totally bummed….not doing this sale in Albuquerque, NM

  46. kiki
