Can this be used on clearance items? Or is that considered an “other offer or discount”?
Yes, you can use these coupons for clearance items, and sale items as well, usually. Just not with other coupons.
I can’t seem to get the coupon to appear! I “liked” them on FB & posted to my wall, but no coupon appears 🙁
That happened with me too. I had to go back to the FB page again, use Colin’s link and it came up. You can usually use it on marked down items, but if it’s an extra 25% off clearance items, you usually can’t use both discounts.

it seems to be the app for facebook that links to the gap rewards. I can’t even get the gap rewards app to open either.

I have a facebook account just for couponing so I don’t have any “friends” linked with that account. there is an email link to the right of the blue facebook “f” I clicked that to send an email to a friend. that enabled me to print the coupon and I sent a backup SMS to my phone.
Just called gap and they’re no help…the lady’s telling me that they only have the 30% off friends and family coupon right now…

I used Google Chrome with no issue–they emailed the coupon to me, too 🙂
If it lets you share it, even if the page doesnt load again, check your email. I got my coupon.

They e-mailed it to me too but I get the same blank facebook page when I go thru either Collin’s link or the e-mail link. We may have to check back later when this gets figured out.
I just kept refreshing the Living Color page, and it finally popped up. You have to then sign in to GapRewards… then a page will show up where you “share” it with friends or email it. I shared it with like 4 people and the page kept going blank. So after a couple refreshes, I just clicked on the email symbol, instead of sharing it on people’s walls. I emailed it to my own email address and the coupon immediately came up. What a freakin hassle though.

I used Chrome and just left it open for about a half hour. Then it finally showed up.
Finally worked for me. Had to walk away from the computer several times. Hope it’s worth it!

Just got it to work with firefox!!!!
I went to the Gap today to use this coupon and was told it not to be combined with sale prices. I tried to buy something that said it was 40% off. The sign said pocket T’s 40% off. So i figured it would be 40% off since it was a sale item, but was told that all the sale promos were void if you used the 40% coupon or the 30% off they were offering in store.
Being the coupon savvy person i am, i had a feeling they didn’t know what they were talking about, so i tried it and they were right. When she scanned the item it came up 40% off, but when she scanned my coupon it returned it to full price and then gave me the 40% off for the coupon.
So basically you can get anything in the store 40% off , but it will not work on a sale item. Everything was so expensive even with the 40% off that i didn’t buy anything. There are better sales than this through out the year that can combine a sale and a coupon.

Mine worked in combo with the sale prices. I got a zillion things for my girls for 120 bucks! Woohoo!
I am a Gap employee and this is how it should work.
The coupon will work for sale items(items with new price stickers on them) but not with promotional items (items with signs that are 25, 30, 40% off etc.) Promotional items include 5 for $25.00 panties. The 40% off would be taken from the original price so it would likely be a better deal 5 for 25.
If you aren’t sure if something is on sale or on promotion, any gap employee should be able to tell you.
The coupon also won’t work for 3rd party items such as the new line of Threadless tees that recently came out.
If you aren’t able to print the coupon, Gap is also offering 30% off you entire purchase for every customer that walks in.

Thanks for the explanation. 🙂 That appeared to be true when I was at Baby Gap yesterday. I got 40% off of everything I purchased, all of which had stickers on the tags marking the items down. So it was 40% off of the marked down prices. 🙂
