    You’re so welcome, Collin 🙂

    • Ashley57

Isn’t it awesome to have Collin post your deal? 🙂 Congrats, and thanks for sending it to her.

    • chickie00

Not to be a downer (I’m really not) but I did this deal over the Christmas season when CVS offered it. I purchased the $150 e-giftcard from them and got the $30 giftcard reward. Both giftcards I recieved in my email. I tried to use the $150 giftcard at CVS about a month later and it was declined. I came home and checked the online history for my giftcard and it looked like someone had used my giftcard in Las Vegas ( I live in VA) at 3 different stores, on the same day. This was about 3 days after my purchase. What was strange is that I was able to use my $30 reward which leads me to believe it wasn’t my email that was broken into because why wouldn’t they have taken both giftcards if they had the opportunity too. Just wondering if anyone else did this deal during that time and had any issues? Also, just a word of advice to double check the history of your giftcard continuously after your purchase to make sure no one else has gotten their hands on it. Thanks! 🙂

Did you contact them about this? I’d assume you’re not the first person whose gc number got hacked, and that they would simply issue you a new one if that happened?

    • flgulledge

Did you contact CVS about it? I’m curious as to what kind of response you got from them and how they handled the situation.

    • Diane

The same thing happened to me!! I live in North Dakota, and my $150 cards (I bought 2 of them) were also used in Las Vegas. CVS customer service has been helpful. One of my cards has been replaced and I’ve used it without any further problems. However, the second replacement card was also used by someone without my knowledge. I’m still waiting for a refund on that one. As in your case, Beth, neither of my $30 cards were stolen. I hope they catch this nasty person!

      • Elizabeth

Sorry I read it incorrectly. Looks like the complaints were from the same time we bought the giftcards.

    • Augusta

I had a similar issue. My $30 card worked fine and then when I went to use the $150 card there was a zero balance on it. A few phone calls to customer service and they issued me a total refund. I might pass this time although I love getting a free $30. I just don’t want to risk it again!

    • dan

I did the same deal around christmas time, but did not experience any issues whatsoever with it… both the paid for and the free ecards worked fine once the cashiers read the directions…

    • Carissa

This is terrible. It sounds to me like a huge scam is going on. How would they be able to access all of these different gc’s? Sounds like they are on the inside of this. And you would think CVS in LV would think it is weird when the same person is coming in and saying “Oh I don’t have my printed sheet for my giftcard”? I bought a ton of these and I really hope I don’t have to go through this! Ahhhh!

      • Stephanie

This happened to me too! I just tried to use mine today and it got declined – it should have had $150 on it. It too was used in Las Vegas – I have NEVER been there. They told me there was nothing they could do. I’m contacting CVS tomorrow and then filing a dispute with CC company. Maybe we should all get together on this! I came on here to check if anyone else had the problem and now I am completely baffled and steaming!

Does anyone know if we can go through swagbucks? Since they changed their site (again) I can’t find shopping LOL. Thnx.

    • Paulina

How do you go through Swagbucks? do you earn swagbucks for shopping for a CVS giftcard?

  6. Valerie L.

This excites me! I did this around christmas and still have money left, probably will do it again! 🙂

  7. Jessica

Does anyone know if these gift cards can be used to purchase cards like iTunes gift cards instore? I would love to get the $10 ECB wyb $50 gift cards this week. That would be like getting back $20 then!!!

    • Christina

You can’t use for purchasing gift cards.

    • Lynn

Terms and Conditions read, “You may not use an eGift Card to purchase other eGift Cards.” Terms doesn’t specify any other type of gift card you cannot purchase with an eGift Card.

      • Christina

“Cannot be used to purchase money orders or prepaid cards, or as payment on a credit account.”. That is what mine states on the eCard.

        • Jessica

Thanks ladies! I read that on the site but it was underneath all of their gift card options and I didn’t know if the eGift Card would have different restrictions. I was in the store this afternoon and asked the cashier about it. He said that he wasn’t sure, but that “I could always just try it and see”. Unfortunately that’s not in the budget this week. I just needed to know if it would work. I thought it was a long shot anyway! I will have to find a way to pay for that program I need another way! Thanks again for your help!

  8. Ashley

How long does it take to get sent to your email? I sent one to myself about a half hour ago and it hasn’t been emailed yet.

    • Angel

Still waiting… more than an hour

      • Angel

Got all of them and my $30 bonus in email about 10 minutes ago. 🙂

  9. shannon

I just got this deal! Thanks Collin! I missed out last time this was around so I’m so excited. I love CVS!

    • shannon

I was wondering the same thing. Also do the bonus e-cards come at the same time or are those mailed separately?

      • Valerie L.

They were emailed separately last time.

  10. shannon

oops meant for that reply to go under you ashley.

  11. Debra

Thanks for letting us know. I love this deal. I always purcase the max. I usually use this on prescription copays for my family. This is one way I am able to stretch my dollars.

  12. Elizabeth

Wow….Two hip2save users had their gc’s hacked? That means there’s probably lots of others out there, too…Funny that even the replacement gc’s were hacked. So NOT worth the potential hassle to save a few bucks

  13. Alyssa

Just a heads up to scan your cvs cards…a $12 off any physician formula skin are item ( not cosmetic). I bought a $16 tinted moisturizer with SPF 55. Coupon scanned nicely. In fact there was $5 off any p.f…so the moisturizer rang at $11.xx.
Also picked up a free candy bar 🙂

  14. Ba

I’m worried about all this egift card being stolen or hacked. If I buy this egift card I’m thinking of buying something with equal value of the gift card and return it right away, that way the store would have to refund me by using their cvs money card. that way I will be solving two issues, first its no longer an e-gift card bard code that could get hacked and second its no longer a piece of paper but a hard plastic card.

    • Jennifer

I have bought these about 3 times they were offered and never have had any problems with anything like that (if that helps ease your mind). It works just like a giftcard that you buy at the store (the cashier just needs to do a few different steps on the cash register).

  15. LisaK

forgive me in advance if this is a stupid question. It’s late and my mind is a bit fuzzy right now lol…

How would you use the e-card IN the store?

I want to use it for prescriptions in-store.

    TIA 🙂

    • janiceg531

You print out the eCard at home and take the paper with you to the store. I usually problems with cashiers knowing how to use them (even with the instructions printed at the bottom) but this deal is so worth it to me that I don’t mind the hassle.

      • LisaK

        thanks!

  16. Leslie

Im still confuse on this… Is this just a one time?
Or is it, that for every time I spend $25 at cvs, I will get a $5…

  17. Theresa

Is this deal still valid? I don’t see anything about getting a reward for purchasing the gift card at the CVS website.

    • Valerie L.

I was wondering the same thing, i checked last night and didn’t see it then either. I’m thinking I was a little late on this one. 🙁

  18. lastquartertsuki

I bought this deal the other day (May 8) and got the $50 gc with $10 gc. I went to the store today to use it (May 10) and while the bonus gc worked, the $50 one did not. I called while I was in the store and CVS customer service said it had a balance of 0. I then got transferred to another number that could track transactions and was told by them the gc was showing $50. So both the store and CVS said there was nothing there, and the other company said there was. They told me they would research the transactions (although that would take several days) and as I was in the process of checking out, I went ahead and paid and asked them to refund the $50 to my credit card, which I was told they should be able to do after they research. I’m really disappointed that this happened given, if they had such problems in the past, clearly SOMETHING is still wrong and they didn’t resolve it. :/

    • Elizabeth

Just a suggestion. You could try checking the history online of the giftcard! I had to do that as well when I had issues.

  19. Becki

does anyone know if this deal is defintely over?

  20. Ashley P.

I purchased one $25 ecard yesterday and got the card and the $5 bonus ecard in my email in less than a minute – took them to the store and used both with absolutely no problem 🙂 Went back to get another just now and it looks like the deal is over 🙁

Thanks to Deb and Colin for sharing!

    • Becki

Bummer!!!!!! I really wanted that diaper deal 🙁

  21. Kristie

I was just able to purchase one today.

  22. LisaK

Loved this deal! Thank you Deb & Collin!
I got a $50 one and had no problems using it!

I had told someone else about the deal and warned them not to get the $150. Seems to be an issue with that particular amount. I’m wondering if it was some employee that knew the coding system for the $150 cards…or something like that.

  23. LisaK

Looks like this is active again today!!

Hope those that missed it the other day can get in on it today 🙂

  24. sara

I don’t see anything about the extra $5 on the site…is it gone again?

  25. Valerie L.

    I don’t see anything extra again. 🙁

  26. christi

I bought a $25 gift card yesterday, but i still haven’t gotten the $5. does anyone know why?

    • Valerie L.

Was the “buy one get one” banner on the screen when you purchased it? If not, that’s why I believe.

  27. Kelly

    Hi!
Thanks for all your hard work, I really enjoy your site. Just wondering about this deal – I tried to do purchase a $25 one yesterday (5/12/12) for myself and I only relieved an egift card for 25. Is this over? Or did I do something wrong? It’s an amazing deal if I can get it lol. Thanks!

  28. Andrea

I’m on the phone with customer service right now. This is absolutely over. They told me I bought it through a third party website that advertising this as live, but it ended May 9th, was brought back on the 11th and ended again at COB. 🙁 They do not have the authority to reverse the charges and they cannot issue the promotional value. Hope someone else reads the comments before they make the same mistake I made. I got here from the weekly CVS deals.

    Love you
