If you are in need of laundry detergent and live near a Sears store, you may be happy to know that this awesome deal is available again! Just head on over to Sears.com where you can snag Ultra Plus Powder Laundry Detergent w/ Stain-Fighter, 275 Loads for only $13.49 (regularly 26.99!) with FREE store pick-up. That works out to just 5¢ per load which is a great price in my opinion!

Although I am not personally familiar with this brand of detergent, I was amazed at all the 4 and 5 star reviews (and the positive reviews you all left on the previous post regarding this detergent). Check a few of the reviews out below….

The only detergent I use. It’s good. We have 4 boys who love to play outside, so I know 😉

My mom used this detergent when I was young, and now I use it for my family. A large container of this product lasts at least 6 months in our large family!

We have used Ultra Plus for several years and recently decided to try another brand. Believe me, as soon as the new brand is gone, we’re back to Ultra Plus! There’s just no comparison.

Anyone know of a way to do this deal with shipping straight to your door? We don’t have a Sears in the area, but I would really like to buy some of this. But the shipping costs are OUTRAGEOUS!!

  2. Amy

5 cents per load is pretty hard to beat. I bought some of this detergent and will be headed out to pick it up shortly. Praying that I get the same great results as everyone else! 🙂

Great deal, I definitely bought and just got an email that it is already available for pick up. Has anyone ever done this? How long do they hold onto the item? I am not sure I can make it until tomorrow.

    • Maria

It should say on your confirmation email. I bought some last time and didn’t pick it up for a few days.

I ordered this last time it was posted. I was out of town when I received the E-mail saying I could pick it up, so I wasn’t able to get it for about a week, but that wasn’t a problem.

I ordered this last time Colin posted it and I love the detergent! My son plays high school baseball and I had tried many different laundry detergent, sprays etc to get grass stain out with my HE washer and none of them worked. Ultra Plus worked great!

I bought 2 of these boxes last time. I haven’t opened them yet, but was suprized at how huge the boxes were. I can wait to start using it.

  6. Becca

Can you use this in a regular washer? We haven’t upgraded to he yet.

    • andrea

We have an HE washer and an old non-HE in the basement for when our HE is not working (we bought it at a garage sale for $30 and a trip to the laundromat costs at least that much for us!). I have used this in the old non-HE washer. It is low sudsing but it cleans just fine.

      • Becca

Do u use the same amount as is recommended for he? Thanks do much!

For HE users-do you pick this kind of detergent in the regular detergent compartment or straight in the wash? I’ve never used powders with my HE washer…

    • andrea

The detergent compartment is where you are supposed to put it. It is really good detergent.

I’ve used powder detergent in my Maytag Neptune for 12 yrs. I use less than it says, a little under the small load line, and that is what I use for a large load

I was surprised at how little detergent I needed. The measuring cup is small. I’m very happy with our purchase from the last time this deal was up.

I finished the order but I never got a confirmation email. Then It says I have a box in my cart. Did anyone else experience this?

    • Jacinda

I had the same thing happen to me, I just called my store, they had my number, and I went down there, checked in at the merchandise pickup, where there is a self-checkout kiosk. I just put my phone number in, and they brought it right up front for me. They told me on the phone, that I didn’t need my confirmation email because it was already there, and he confirmed it for me. Good luck!

both types the box shown and the one with fab softerner are on sale in the store

Sears also has a bunch of ladies sketchers for 75% off! I got tone-ups for $21 down from $84 🙂 these are not the huge clunky shape up ones. They got amazing reviews on amazon.com

Just letting you guys know that powder detergents can get behind the washing machine barrel. My husband tried to fix my grandmother’s washer and she used nothing by powder detergents and there was a nasty coating of “wet powder goo” in there. After seeing that, I will never use a powder. Not trying to discourage anyone!! Just informing you guys of our nasty experience. =)

    • Ashley

You can fix this problem by cleaning your washing machine. You can buy washing machine cleaners at any store or use a homemade type. Also if you follow the directions using ANY detergent, it clearly says to let powder dissolve before you put in clothes. Start your machine and add the powder, since this is a low sud detergent you can see when your detergent is broken down enough to start your load. If you’re worried about the powder build up, just wash your machine once or twice a month depending on how much laundry you do. There should be no problem and it helps your machine live a lot longer.

      • Ashley

Submitted before I could say the ingredients for make it yourself. Bleach & Vinegar are all you need to make a machine cleaner yourself. Hope this helps!

        • Christine

is this conversation about an HE front loading washer? was told when we purchased our machine that it is recommended to use liquid in the dispenser rather than powder as powder can build up. in this case, since detergent is placed in dispenser, there’s no way to tell if powder has dissolved unless you pre-dissolve it, which is a bit of a hassle…

          • Ashley

I have last years model from samsung that are front loaders. we’ve used this detergent for years, even with our last front loaders and never had a problem however I don’t know what the original commenter was speaking about. I regularly wash my machine though. this detergent is also made for HE models and personally ive never had a problem but it’s up to you if you’d want to use it. i never listen to what a sales person suggest or tells me unless it’s an obvious common sense thing, because they do make powdered detergent (like this one) for HE machines.

I had some unused SYWR points – I was able to get it for $12.70 after tax
