Last time I ordered, I never recieved mine. My order was from ValleyBuy. Amazon did refund my money though.

Same here – never got the product.

      • Jill

same here. Not much money lost, but would never order again.

        • darcy

          same here. interesting.

          • Gretchen

            SAME HERE!

    • leah

      Same here!

    • Crescent City Couponer

Add me to the list. I had to call my CC company to get a refund for the ValleyBuy order. I’d love to have extras, but I’m going to pass on this.

Ordered this a couple days ago. Great deal. 🙂

Just a warning the last time I saw this deal I bought two. Didn’t use them right away because I already had one. When I did use mine and my sister used hers they just lasted a few uses (& at that point there was no returning them)

    • reitzell

That happend to me too! It just fell apart. 🙁

    • CW

Yes. Same here. My husband is in IT and he showed me why it was not worth it to get the cheap cables. It’s the connection from the cord to both ends. It is not made well and therefore lasts just a few uses. I bought several last time (15) and they all either stopped working completely (no longer charged after a week or so of use) or they broke at that connection. I learned my lesson and I won’t spend the money again.

  4. karin

Yep, probably different company, but I never received my last order.

  5. Andrea

These never showed up for me last time I bought 5…. never asked for a refund, I’m sure Amazon would give me a refund… but I suppose I am holding out hope they will still arrive:)

    • Amanda M

Andrea, the same happened to me and when I tried to contact the seller, they were no longer a member of Amazon so they took our money and ran! I filed a complaint through Amazon, I just did it through live chat support and my money was refunded within a couple hours!

  6. Tammi

For a dollar I’ll try it! Just got a car charger that has a usb port in it so now I can charge 2 iphones in the car.

  7. Stephanie

The one I purchased with my Iphone shredded after a short time, so instead of paying so much at he AT&T store I just order a couple of these. I have received mine when I ordered, but I don’t remember what the company name was.

  8. Bethany

I just ordered 5! Here’s hoping they work and last.

  9. couponsnsoopy

I ordered a few last time, received them and had no issues.
Even gave some as gifts and they are still working

  10. Diana

I ordered 2 from the seller called Lucky Electronics. I think I ordered it from your post last time but I don’t remember. My husband and I each have ours at work to charge our phones. We have been using them for almost 5 months and have had good luck with them. I guess it is one of those things where some are good and some are going to be bad. By the reviews it sounds like the seller Cellular 5 Star has the best ones even though those are higher in cost.

I work for ATT and the cheap ones could void your warranty on your phone. Yes ours are more expensive but they are approved for use with apple phones and we offer a one year warranty on them so if something happens we just replace it.

    • Kim

How does ATT know if one uses a “cheap” cord?

  12. Ariel

We needed some for our car, Thanks! (Hoping they last more than a few uses)

  13. Laurie

Buyer beware, this is not manufactured by Apple, so don’t expect this to be the same quality as the one that came with your phones!

  14. melissa

Do these work on the ipad too?

    • MommySpendsLess

Generally I think the cables are the same for both the iPhone and iPad, it’s just the adapter part that plugs into the wall that’s different.

  15. MommySpendsLess

I bought two of the generic cables the last time a deal was posted. One wouldn’t fit in my iPhone or iPad at all – the connector was slightly too big. The other would eventually connect but had to be be pushed in just right. I don’t think I’d bother with generic ones again, at least super cheap, sight unseen ones.

  16. cathy

WARNING! I have to add to others on here. I bought the cable and it only worked once or twice than it stopped working.

  17. cutsiecow

BEWARE….Ordered 2 NEVER RECIEVED, asked for a Refund….Didnt get one!

  18. Andrea

Ordered same item from that company on amazon in January-never got it, had to file complaint with amazon and wait for my money to be returned to my cc. BUYER BEWARE ORDERING THIS ITEM!!!!!

  19. Sunny

ITA, buyer beware. This is one of the few products where purchasing the brand name product is a must, so the product continues to work properly, and you don’t waste time with a dead phone while waiting for a useless cord. BUT! On a sweet note for me, I picked up a new AT&T 3G iPhone charger at a thrift store yesterday for only three bucks! Got a bunch of cases, too. (I’ve been car chargerless for months now, and was getting ready to shell out the big bucks for the real deal)

  20. Rachel K

Thank you for this! Our cat chewed through our iPod cable yesterday and my husband needed a new cable! Such a great deal! Hope we receive it, if not…it’s only $1! 🙂

  21. Jill (Scrap Wench)

The price on these has dropped to $0.70 with free shipping (seller is Buyincoin). I also got a USB car charger adapter (same seller) for $1.08, for a grand total of $1.78. I just plan to keep this cable in my car for the occasions when I forget to charge my iPhone (which isn’t often, as I only use it as one of two mp3 players that I use, not a phone).
