Tomorrow, May 18th is the 1,500th episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and you could win BIG with Viggle! The show will have a 1,500 point check-in bonus and you’ll also have the chance to win 1 million Viggle points! To enter to win, just check into that episode when the show is live and stay checked in for at least ten minutes and you will automatically be entered to win 1 million Viggle points! Between my fiance and I just made $200 in Best Buy Gift cards since about March! Planning on getting a Kindle Fire soon! 🙂 Also cashed in for a $5 CVS card as well.
So far… $40 worth of Old Navy vouchers (and they will give you cash back if you don’t use all $10), a $25 Amazon gift card, and 6 movie vouchers — which we used to see The Avengers today. They just recently raised the “cost” of many of their rewards, but this is still the best-paying app I have!
Is there a secret to getting points fast? I’ve been doing viggle for months and only have enough points for a $15 gift card. How do people get poonts so quickly?
Do you check in to the shows with bonus points? You can find a list of them daily on viggle’s website or the viggle forum on slickdeals . net. You also only need to stay checked in to a show for 10 minutes to receive the bonus points, so you can check in to multiple shows within 1 hour to receive bonus points for all of them.
I didn’t know that. I have only been doing this a couple months and have 72K in points.
It has become MUCH more difficult to get a lot of points. You used to be able to watch ads over MANY times to get points, shows were worth more and gift cards cost less. They also have a weekly point limit now too! It is still fun 🙂

I’ve been using since last Tuesday (so about 9 days) and I have 23,000+ points.
I DVR all the shows that offer bonus points, check into them, then change it to what I really want to watch or just walk away. I also try to do as many live quizzes as possible. Most shows I don’t watch, so I don’t know the answer, but I usually can guess it.

I <3 Viggle! So far I've cashed out for $125 in Best Buy money. My hubby wants a Kindle Fire, so I'm making him wait until we can get it for free! Once I achieve that goal, I'm gonna cash out for iTunes and Starbucks for ME!!!

I love the Viggle app and have earned lots of gift cards! Has anyone been having issues getting into the slickdeals iPhone app today? Every time I try it just kicks me out. I love the Viggle forum on there, it helps me to keep track of what I need to check in to. TIA!
I watch TV shows on the CW everyday and I usually only get +1 or +2 points. Plus, I never get the bonas listed on the Viggle app. Does anybody know why?
Are you checking in at the beginning of the show? I always do it within the first 5 min of each show that I check in with.
You don’t need to check in at the beginning of the show … any time before the last 5 minutes should get you bonus points. Does the show have bonus points? If not, you will only get 1 point per minute you watch. But if it does have bonus points I’m not sure why you wouldn’t get them. Maybe you should contact someone at Viggle support!
How does it know how long I watch the show for?

They send you an email with a link to print a gift certificate for the store you choose. You use it just like a gift card.

I am loving Viggle. I’ve only had it for 4 days and am already working towards 14K. My goal is the Kindle Fire.
I can’t get the app to be available for my iPad can anyone help it says “can not complete your request at this time” am I doing something wrong
i used the app for the iphone. the only difference is that the graphics are smaller.
Well, I was able to download the app onto my Android but it will not let me register. Keeps saying they are unable to process my request at this time…bummed 🙁
How do you stay “checked in?” I was under the impression that once you were checked in, you were checked in for the whole show. Thanks!
you just don’t check in to anything else during that hour.
Once you check in, you are checked in for the whole show OR until you check in to another show. So if you checked in to a 60-minute show with bonus points you would get the bonus + 60 points (1 point/minute). Or you could remain checked in for 10 minutes, get the bonus + 10 points and then check in to another show. (I usually wait 11 minutes just to be sure!)

yeah, i normally watch ellen everyday (i’m not at work) at 4pm EST. so sad i’ll be at work for this check-in 🙁
you dont actually have to be near a tv to check in, just pres check in 2 times an search for ellen and check in manually
How does this work? I thought you had to be at the tv watching it.. I don’t have the app yet so I’m just wondering how this works.
Seems like half of the time my Viggle Check-in doesn’t recognize the Ellen show. Hope it works today.
If it doesn’t recognize it after 2 tries you can do a manual check-in! You’ll still get the bonus points 🙂
You can manually check in to a show. When the message comes up that it doesn’t recognize the show, there is a search field at the top. Type in the name of the show & as long as the show is currently running on the air, it will show up. Click on the show & you’ll get the Confirm pop-up. Click Confirm & you’re done!
I have gotten $100 in best buy cards (I got those really fast right before they changed the rules and it was much easier then–but I still love free gift cards!), $50 in starbucks gift cards, $45 in chilis gift cards, and $10 in papa johns. I love viggle!
Do you think it is worth it to buy a device just to use viggle?
I don’t think so. You can make money, but if that’s the only reason you’re buying the device, it would take a while to recoup what you spent and there’s no guarantee that Viggle will stay in business, remain as profitable, etc.
Yeah. With all the apps I’m using I don’t recoup my $35 internet plan. Even if you bough an ipod touch at $200 I see it taking a long to turn a profit since it’d only be used at home. Maybe if you have the opportunity to buy a used one cheaply, but it need to be a newer one with a mic or you’ll need to buy headphones with a mic.
I’d be getting one with points from survey sites so I wouldn’t be spending much.. just trying to think how much I could make a month from it to help with the cost.

I would be very careful doing the 10 minute check ins on shows with bonus points lots of members on other forums are getting banned.
how do you do manual check in? and one more thing, can you still get points when you watch it when you recorded it? if yes, how? thanks!
I do most of my check-ins on shows that I have DVR’d and they work fine. You just turn on the show and let Viggle listen and recognize the show like normal. I think you have to watch them within 24 hours to get the bonus points though.

Could someone please explain to me how this works? I just signed up and went to their website, but they don’t tell anything about it. How do I know which shows have points and which ones don’t? Are there some shows that have points all the time or is it always a different list? Thanks!

wow! the points are higher now if you want to redeem gift cards. last monday it’s still 7500 for a 5 dollar gift card now it’s 9000. i should’ve redeemed my pointa!
Same here. I should have redeemed my points. I’m starting to get disappointed with Viggle. Thy have really changed a lot for the worst since I joined.
I normally love Viggle and have been using points to get JCP gift cards to buy clothes for our daughter. After they recently posted that they were going to be raising the points required to redeem rewards Thursday morning, I rushed and cashed in 14,000 points for another $10 JCP gift card. I went to use the gift card today and was appalled that the gift card we were given actually had a value of $0. I emailed Viggle and I am waiting to hear back.

I love Viggle! I’ve cashed out for a few Starbuck gift cards for a road trip where taking next week. My mother has a list for everyday of check-in times, she’s retired so she checks in to many shows. I’m not even upset they raised some of the points of the rewards. It’s a fun way to earn stuff and you also might get hooked on a show you never knew about.
I got my FREE Kindle Fire delivered in the mail today! Going to be a great present for my sister. Can’t wait till she opens it!
