According to my Kroger – the Smart Balance coupon will only work with the red lid Smart Balance (Butter and canola oil blend – not olive oil and canola). And the employees say that every time they order the red lid Smart Balance, it is “taken off their order list.” Is anyone else having that trouble?? I’m curious if this is happening all over?
I printed the coupon today…I hope I don’t have trouble ,but I don’t understand the whole “red lid” thing b/c the coupons reads save $1.60 on any one (1) smart balance spreadable butter and it has a pic of the red and blue lid containers…so…I guessing they just said that to keep you from getting it…idk why else they would do that/say that.
Hmm it beeped for me today at Kroger on the canola and olive oil blend kind. The cashier asked me if it was a real coupon, and I said yes and maybe it beeped since the coupon is more than the item. She pushed it through, but it looked like she wrote something on the coupon. Strange.
She was just trying to cover her own behind should the coupon turn out to be invalid. Just doin her job to make sure her register didn’t come up short.
