Check out the email and picture that I recently received from reader, Megan, who hosted the Keurig Vue House Party…

Hey Collin!  I haven’t had a lot of time to pay attention to deals and all of the opportunities available lately, so you’re pretty much the only source I’ve been using.  In March, you posted about applying to host the Keurig Vue party on houseparty.com.  I knew it was a long shot, but I applied.  Guess what came FedEx on Saturday?  ðŸ˜€  I would have never in a million years bought something like this for myself, so I am very excited and blessed.  I’m looking forward to hosting this party and thank you for posting about it.  I would have never even applied if you hadn’t.

If you’re wondering what a House Party is..
Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Sargento) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

What free stuff will you receive?
That all depends on the specific brand your throwing the party for. Each brand has their own unique Party Pack filled with all kinds of free stuff to make your party a success!

Does anyone know if our guests will need to agree to be in pictures? I think it is fun, but I don’t want to put my guests in the spot especially since I would be the one benefiting the most…

When I did the Johnsonville house party, I took pictures of my food and setup. None of the guests were in the pictures. So I wouldn’t worry over it.

well they do want to see as much people as possible in the pictures. I do not agree that only food, table setting in pics is ok, since we promise to show the guests and etc. Usually i ask people if they agree to be in the pictures, if not i would make a picture from their back so we could see how many people were in the party and not show the faces of those who do not want to be seen 🙂

It has been over 2 years since I was last chosen to host a House Party—they have gotten hugely popular that is so hard to get in.

I think that they really look for younger people to host parties because applied for several parties but never picked and I have been with them for a couple years.

I got picked last summer for their Budweiser party, but nothing after that…pretty bummed about getting the emails telling me “you did not get selected”. Probably too many people in the pool by now:)

I hosted the Redbook party last saturday! It was awesome. I got tons of Loreal makeup to give my friends !

I did too, it was so much fun. I applied for the Duplo too. I hope I get it because the party date falls on the date we’re having his birthday party. I’ve hosted 3 or 4 partys and am always so excited.

Lego duplo sent only 4 sets of books-lego sets… and we invited 10 families saying that they will get a set no matter how many kids they have-most gave 2-3 kids… not sure what i will do now. A little dissapointed.
