Thanks for the match up’s! Are the Physicians Formula Skin Care Items included in the gas card deal? Because the Magic Coupon Machine printed out that great $15 dollar off 1 coupon!

    • Amanda

It is in the one that is valid thru today:-)

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I show them on sale starting 7/1 so maybe there are regional differences?

    • Jenny

They were this past week’s deals (ending tonight). I didn’t realize it when I bought them, so it was a nice surprise to be more than halfway to the gas card deal!

      • mel

The PF Skin Care items are listed in my ad as being on sale $7.99 + count towards the Gas Card 7/1 – 7/3.

        • Peg

my store had them on sale, the purple ones, for $5.25! I got the $15 q so I got 3 of them for free!!!

    • whitephantom

my stores…NONE of the 4 stores carry the PF skincare, so bummed because they were bogo this week 🙁

      • Dawn

For the stores that don’t carry skin care, they’ll accept it for make up, it’s still for skin. Just don’t get mascara.

      • michelle

my store let me use it on PF makeup they said it was caring for your skin bc they didnt have the skincare stuff

    • jessica

yes PF is part of gas card thru July 7 as well.. it also take 7 dollars off the item..

  2. Nikki

    Really s…l…o…w week 🙁
Just going for the cereal deal-headed out now to get a Saturday jump on things!

  3. Brittany

    Thanks Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

what are you using the 4/20 facial skin care on? I got that but don’t know what to use it on. Thanks.

      • Kim

The add this week from 7/1 – 7/3 says that there is a Olay $10 rebate on http://www.cvs.com, but I don’t see it there or on the http://www.olay.com website, but you could use the $4 off $20 facial skin care purchase coupon towards that…

  6. Abby

Can I use my 30%off in the gas card??? some body help me please..!! =)

    • mel

only works on non-sale items, so only the seasonal items (beach chairs, coolers, etc) would get the discount since everything else is on sale.

      • Lauri

Thank you for answering…I was just going to ask the same question. : )

      • Abby

Thank you so much mel..!! =)

    • Thuy

Abby, I do not think 30 percent applies for gas card, I had it too and when I read through it, it said excluded sales, clearance, gift card…..

      • Abby

Thank you Thuy!! i’m gonna use it, and other things =)

    • jessica

You should always try the percent coupons.. yes even tho it some excludes sale items… as an employee of CVS it does sometime work on sale items… if the percent coupon doesnt work it will tell the cashier to hand back the coupon to customer..

      • Patty

I used my 30% off on all my stuff and on the gas card things too

  7. db

I thought there were some rebates for the crest 3d whitestrips. Does anyone know anything more about this? Thanks!

      • thelostpond

lol didn’t read the each part. Plus with it being $10.83, I just assumes minus $10 leaves .83.
Leave it to my “scan quick reading” I got excited to see the deals and misread. LOL

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yep, it’s $0.83 each 🙂

    • Carley

There is a $1 off hair accessories that printed from the coupon machine!

  10. Carol_R

    Thanks for the match-ups Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  11. Karen

“Physicians formula cosmetics (with reg. retail price $7+) $7 off” …… where does it say you get $7 off? In my ad it is listed as $7.99, is there different ads or am I confused?

    • Karen

ohhhh wait…. Next to the $7.99 skin care stuff it says “save $7 on any PF cosmetics”… is the skin care stuff concidered cosmetics? My store has face lotion (I would think that is cosmetic since it goes on your face)

      • mel

Lotion would be skin care, not cosmetics. cosmetics are things like blush, foundation, eye shadow, mascara, lipstick.

  12. Rami

I got peelie coupon from physicians formula products which I purchase last week of TRY ME FREE and GET UP TO $25 BACK when I buy 3 products of physicians formula youthfull wear. This purchase will count towards gas card yep!!!

    • tanya

Rami, this is sweet! where did you find the rebate peelie? at cvs?

      • Rami

        Yep from cvs.

  13. tanya

Initially I looked at this ad, and got bored. But yesterday the coupon machine printed out tons of coupons that will match with gas card deal AND make Pantene, Phys.Formula and some other stuff almost free. I also got 20% off for today only, and will try to use it at the store that already has this week’s deal

  14. Kdawg

Every week there are less and less red deals. Sigh. Starting to think it’s not even worth it anymore. 🙁

  15. Molly

All the stores in my area have been out of the Phys. formula all week, so my $15 coupon expired 🙁 On another note I am getting very frustrating with CVS, lately they are just being very strict with coupons, they don’t want to take them if they have another store’s logo, they don’t want to take more than one from the red machine for the same item (even though they have different numbers), I don’t know but I feel like giving up, and some of the cashiers are just always making comments about the coupons and staring at me, as if I am doing something illegal.

    • mel

i feel ya. I have one store that is a real pain, but its the biggest store and has more merchandise than the tiny one close to my house. So I “play along” with their rules! AFA coupons with other store logo’s, that’s in their FAQ that they don’t accept them. I don’t like it either, since it IS a manuf. coupon, I don’t see what the big deal is if it says “redeem at WM” or “available at WM” Anyway, I just make sure to not have any logo’d coupons when I shop @ CVS. And the red machine, well CVS policy allows 1 CVS Store Coupon + 1 manuf Coupon per item, so IDK why the store wouldn’t take them, esp if it has different bar codes. I might give CS a call on that, see if they can call the store to set them straight.
      Don’t give up though!

      • anna

WHEN I WENT 2 CVS THE OTHER DAY THE MANAGER SAID THAT I COULD ONLY USE 1 MANUF.Q PER ITEM(I TOLD HIM I ALREADY KNEW THAT) AND HE ALSO SAID THAT I COULD STACK THE CVS Q’S.(THAT MEANS U CAN USE MORE THAN 1 CVS Q)

    • Jessica

This is why I don’t do coupons. I come on here for deals on items online and things of that sort. Like today I got a lot of t-shirts from the children’s place for about $2 each. But as far as coupons..NO WAY! I hate dealing with cashiers, the looks and the attidute I get. And when they don’t take a legitimate coupon because it didn’t scan or whatever having to call for the store manager. Then having to wait about 20 minutes to come and still not being of any help. I usually only go to Wal-mart because its the only store near by and they are HORRIBLE with coupons. And nobody there even knows there own policy. I even tried printing out there own policy and it was such a mess that I just gave up.

      • Kristin

i don’t care if i get looks or attitude or problems at the register… if you are doing it correctly you should feel proud that you are smart enough to not pay more than you have to for things. i laugh when my friends say couponing is not worth it. go ahead and pay $4 for toothpaste then… stores usually pay me to take toothpaste home 🙂 i prefer to spend my money on other things than groceries and personal items

        • Friday888

You are so right (Kristin)! I don’t care if I get nasty looks or major attitude from the cashier or problems at the register. As long as you are couponing correctly, you should feel good about saving money. In the long run, with practice and patience, couponing pays off. When you leave the store, paying less than retail, who cares if the cashier aggravates himself or herself, making it inconvenient for you at the moment to get that deal? You still leave the store with your stuff, or you leave the deal there, and find another store, with a better shopping experience!

      • Steph

Occasionally I find a cashier who is ignorant of their store’s coupon policy or of couponing in general, but most cashiers know their stores are reimbursed for the amount of the coupon and are happy to take them. Being organized with your coupons, going in with a smile and a good attitude and not fighting tooth and nail for every deal that doesn’t go right will go a long way in how your couponing shopping trip will turn out. I have a family of 4 and RARELY pay more than $70/week for groceries (include health and beauty items or other things I pick up at Walmart, Walgreens or CVS). It is work. It does take time. But it’s worth it. I’m a stay-at-home mom, and couponing has allowed our family to live comfortably on one income for 7 years now! Don’t throw in the towel on couponing, or you’re throwing away money!

    • jackie

Bummer. I made the CVS girl’s day today because I handed her like 15 coupons. I could see the panicked look and she sort of nudged a more senior cashier to help her out/watch and make sure I wasn’t trying to do anything sketchy/keep her from screwing up (not sure which- maybe all three!). Every coupon went through, no beeps, no issues, nothing. She just smiled brightly and was like “that wasn’t nearly as hard as i thought it was going to be! have a great day!”

You’ve got to admit, for some of the cashiers that are new, trying to figure out how to deal with coupons can be pretty tricky. Especially if they do it wrong and get in trouble, they’re extra nervous. Some, though, are just plain old bitchy. Luckily I happen to only get the nervous ones 🙂

    • Rachael

Most CVS stores will honor the magic coupon machine coupons even if they are expired, especially if they have been out of the items for awhile. It never hurts to ask. I always ask before I throw away a good coupon. I forgot that I had a $2 coupon for Tums and after it expired I was still able to use it and stack with MQ.

  16. Melanie

Where is the Nestle frozen snack item cpn? i clicked on the link but can’t find the coupon. 🙁

    • mel

scroll down a bit til you see a Nestle Drumstick banner and a red square with a cone and says Save $1.00
Click that and it’ll take you to the print page. And if you have an option to stop the print on your printer, do it b/c it prints with a small ad underneath.

  17. edy

I just got back from cvs and had cvs cpns red machine 3/10 cosmetics and 2 off shampoo cvs cpn and nexxus shampoo, printing and 1dlr cpn printing for hair assesories that would work for the bucks back on hair brushes and assesories. Also, frutoppia shampoo is on clearance $1.77. Physicians cosmetics 7off so if reg price its 7.99 its .99 after nanuft cpn free.

  18. Jessica

I should really know the answer to this, but…
If I get to $30 worth of gas-eligible items, can I then use my 30% off coupon & still get the gas card? I know it won’t be much of a discount since most (if not all) of the items included in the gas deal are already on sale. I want to use the 30% off for some other stuff anyway, so I need to know if it’ll mess up my deal beforehand so I can split my order up if necessary.

  19. edy

Jessica, I tryied using my 30% off on cover girl mascaras along with bogo cpns but, since there buy one get one 50% off it won’t work!! And so, I would use it on tide pods 14 count 4.44 with cpns that would be worthed but, my cvs was wiped off tide pods. Also, most of the cvs stores around the vecinity (Houston) pasadena tx wiped off head shoulders and physicians and pantene! Here there is a lot of cuponers. I shop only one cvs store there is another close by but, within 5 min of each other but, there he doesn’t switch the sales on saturday evening. But, since, I know a lot of cuponers they did said some stores are wiped out. But, here they don’t give anybody trouble on cupons as long as their correct! And cashiers are friendly and helpful!

    • amberwaves

I tried it tonight too thinking it might take the 30% off the regular priced mascara and it didnt take anything off. He told me it was still considered a “sale” item. Decided to save my 30% for something else!

      • anna

i use my 30% off the other day and i save almost $16.00. the 30% percent won’t show up until they finish scanning everthing and hit the total key that’s when you will see the 30% off.

  20. Melanie

My CVS has the PF facial care marked down to $4.97(only the one with the blue stripe). I got 3 free with the $15 off facial care cpn. Sweet!

    • jackie

Mine were marked down to $5.25…but still, not too shabby!!

  21. Erika

Y do u put based on online price?? If the prices are always different in the store?

    • Kristin

to give you a general idea of how much it will be, knowing that it might differ a little in the store.

      • Nicole

I almost feel like that question didn’t even warrant a response! Lol!

        • mel

So when you were brand spanking new, you didn’t ask questions? Geesh, we’re all here to help one another, no need to be snarky with your remark.

      • Erika

I know it was a dumb question but i thought maybe she puts that because u can get it at that price in the store. Sorry

        • Tracy

You shouldn’t be sorry. I think it was a good question.

  22. Molly

Just came back from CVS, trying do some of next week’s shopping today, my store activates the new ad at 4 PM, and I even asked if I could buy the gas deals today, I was told yes the ad is already activated, and tags are up. At the end of my transaction I didn’t get the new sale prices and not a single item counted towards the gas card. the girl in charged told me to come back tomorrow and talk to the other manager to see if she can do something about it.

    • Molly

By the way, the reason I went today was because I didn’t want to go anywhere tomorrow, just wanted to stay home with my family.

    • marnie

I have had that problem before so I always scan my items at the red coupon machine just to check what the price will be

    • tanya

Molly, that happened to me a few months ago when they were doing gas deals. I went on a Saturday to my “4pm” store, and just like you described, nothing I purchased counted towards the gas card. The sale prices were adjusted, but didnt count towards the gas card for the new week. Hopefully your cvs manager can adjust it for you. I would also call cvs (not sure if the customer service works today, but definitely tomorrow), and they can call your store for you and have them adjust it. Happened to me before, CVS is very cool about it. Hope it helps

  23. edy

We always check on scanner the items to make sure the items are allready on sale since they activate the items for 4pm. Before, I bought my physicians cosmetics I always ask the manager and scan to make sure, sorry this happen to u but, u may be able to return and rebuy to get the gas cards! My cvs gave me a choice gas cards or american express. Choose american express

I was able to pay 12¢ for 8 Head and Shoulders Shampoo/Conditioner and got $10 gas card! I get my coupons early and before this week’s ad ended, I did the BOGO 50% deal using the BOGO mq (7/1 P&G). It automatically took off $9.49 (full value of the coupon)! Yay

    • Andrea

Ooh great idea. I am ammending my comment below to get head and shoulders instead of Pantene:) Thanks

      • Kacie

Even without the BOGO 1/2 off, you can still get them for .25 each if you use the $2 off any shampoo or conditioner CVS coupon that was printing last week!

    • jackie

I did the txn this AM and they also took the full value ($9.49) off. I had 2 $2/off shampoo coupons from the machie as well, so it turned into a $4.49 moneymaker for me!

  26. Andrea

Here is what I plan to do tomorrow morning-

3$ off 10 cosmetic purchase CVS coupon printing from CVS Machine
Buy 4 Covergirl Eyeshadows @ $3.49 each (online price)
    -BOGO 50% off sale= 2 @ $3.49 and 2 @ $1.74 each= $10.50
Use 2 of the $3/ off 2 Covergirl cosmetics coupon in P&G 7/1
Plus use $3 off ten CVS coupon
=$1.50 OOP = $10.50 toward Gas Card Deal

In same transaction buy 2 Physicians Formula Skin Care Items @ $7.99 each
Use $15 off Physicians formula skin care printing from CVS Machine or in your account at CVS.com.
    Total- $15.98 – coupon= $.98 OOP and $15.98 torward gift card deal.

Also Buy 2 Pantene Shampoo or Conditioner @ 2 for $6.50
    Use 1 $3.00 off 2 coupon
Pay $3.50 OOP plus $6.50 torward Gas Card Deal

Total OOP $5.98 plus get $10 Gift Card!!!
    Money Maker:)

    • jackie

Be aware that my physician’s forumla rang up at $5.25 (even though it was marked $7.99)…I ended up having to use some Cokes ($.79 plus deposit) as fillers in my txn. It might actually just bring yours down to almost zero!

      • jackie

sorry posted to quick…but it also takes less away from the gas card. You might tend up having to get 3 physicians formulas if they are ringing up $5.25.

  27. Melissa

Mizzy- just curious, but how do you get your coupons early?

    • jackie

I get some early because I get both the wall street journal as well as the sunday paper. The journal is delivered to us on saturday and has coupons in it (sometimes- usually just smartsource).

  28. SanDiegoShopper

My ad is from 7/1-7/7. I guess there are different regional ads this week too.

  29. Delma

on the head & shoulders i got a 1$ off coupon from the coupon machine this week witch makes mine a bedder deal!!

  30. Rebeca

I cant find the Ben & Jerrys coupon anywhere… 🙁

  31. loueffie

When I went to CVS yesterday, the coupon machine printed a $3 off any hairbrush, so be on the lookout for that one to pair with the Conair deal. 🙂

  32. jackie

Just came back from a crazy morning at CVS. Was expecting to come out spending about $10 OOP and a bunch of cokes, but the magic coupon machine went NUTS. Here’s what I scored for a total of $1.70 OOP and got 1 ECB back. I ended up “having” to use seven Cokes as filler because my balance was negative. Unreal.

2 Physicians Formula moisturizers $7.99 each (note: these rang up at $5.25 apiece for me!)
    2 head & shoulders (on sale 2/$9)
    1 CG concealer ($8.49) and 1 CG eyeshadow ($4.10, down to $2.05 after b1g1 50% sale)
    1 gallon milk ($3.29)
    1 cortaid itch relief ($6.49)
    – 7 coke zeros ($.79 plus $.05 deposit here in MA= $.84 apiece or $5.88)

    used
-1 CVS $15 off Physicians Formula (they applied the entire $15 even though because of the unmarked price drop they rang up at $5.25 each so $4.50MM right there…)
    – 1 BOGO head and shoulders 7/1RP plus 2 CVS $2 off any shampoo product (cashier took off the ENTIRE $9.49 value making this a $.49 MM before my CVS Qs- so a $4.49 MM in total!).
    – $3/10 CVS CoverGirl coupon
    – $3/2 any covergirl from 7/1RP
    – FREE (up to $5.99 value) cortaid coupon (go CVS coupon machine!)
    – $1/off any cortaid (smartsource printable, found in the Hip2Save database)

Total after all coupons was $1.70, but I ALSO got a $2.00 ECB for spring spending out of the machine so….. total was $0.00 and I got back one ECB for the milk! So a “net” of $.70 for the whole deal if you don’t count that I used ECB to pay the last bit.

Not too shabby. Note that I know the $9.49 full price coming off was a coupon error, so this is definitely a YMMV deal. However, you could definitely do this deal and save even more on the CG stuff- I just needed concealer. You could get 4 of the eye shadows [there were some colors on clearance for $2.10] and use 2 of the $3/2 coupons for even bigger savings.

    • Anthony

ur cashier is awesome! cause usually mine don’t do those kinda things…jealous!

  33. adri

EYESHADOW is on CLEARANCE at my store =(
So I couldnt do the cover girl deal.
    I just bought
    6 pantene shampoos @ 2/$6.50 = $19.50
    2 Tide @ 5.97 each = $11.94
    1 Cortaid @ $5.99
2 Simple pleasure samples @ .67 cents each
    Total 38.77
    Minus
-2 coupons for $1 off simple pleasures (didnt exclude trial size) =$2
    – Free Cortaid coupon = $5.99
    -2 $1 off Tide = $2
    -3 $3 off 2 Pantene =$9

    38.77 -18.99 = 19.78
I got my $10 gas card, so its like paying $9.78 for 11 items
I have only been shopping there for about 2/3 weeks so not bad for such a newbie is what I decide to think =)

  34. edy

Yes! The spring bucks are printing today! Most of the fellow cuponers are saying that the 7.79 bottles of head shoulders some are buying those are taking the 9.49 bogo cpns! And will be money maker if u all get the small bottles, but, some cvs are taking the sale price only.

  35. Aimee

Not sure if it was mentioned or if it is still available but the minute clinic in the store has a packet of cvs coupons. It was in the ad I believe last week. You don’t need to be seen you can just ask for it but it has a coupon in it for the aloe vera after sun care in it! It actually has a lot of good coupons!

  36. yany

I am sooooo upset I just went to my local cvs and purchased the $32 worth on products towards the gas card I used my coupons and they didnt give me a gas card when I asked the manager why he said that eventhough I spent $32 dollars of.products for the gas card the amount of $ I saved using my coupons took off value from getting the gas card. I am sooo upset!

    • loueffie

You should call the number on your CVS card and tell them what happened. They’ve always been super helpful and I bet they will take care of it for you.

      • Yany

I will call them thanks for the help :)!

    • Lisa

I find that managers want to blame it on coupons when in fact that is not the reason. You need to check your receipt because it is likely that something rang up on clearance and didn’t go towards the total. Also, look at the bottom of your receipt to see how much it says you need to spend to reach the deal. Sometimes it’s easy to pick up the wrong size of a product and then it doesn’t count towards the deal. But I don’t think your coupons have a thing to do with it.

      • Yany

I agree the manager was not helpful at all. I did notice that the Pantene Shampoo rang up for 2 for $4.99 instead of the advertised 2 for $6.50 but I didn’t think anything of it. Maybe that’s what happened but I purchased the product size it said on the label and on the CVS Ad. I’m still happy with the purchase because after coupons I ended up paying only .99 cents for each shampoo (which isnt bad)… thanks for the help Lisa :)!

        • mel

some of the Pantene products are clearance. I made sure to scan a few b/c they were scattered around on the shelf and I wanted to make sure I bought the 2/$6.50 and not the clearance b/c clearance is a hit or miss for counting towards ECB/Gas Card deals.

  37. edy

I went to cvs @ 3pm and I got $9.50 for spring spending and 10 for beauty club. And got some physicians liquid liners and a cvs cpn red machine for free cortaid cream here is 5.99 free.

  38. edy

Nivea tins .99 cents buy 4 get 8 bucks working houston tx 8:19pm confirmed by 2 cuponers pasadena tx too!

  39. Hatice K.

I purchased pampers and fiber one for gas deal and It didn’t count the fiber ones towards gas deal , receipt only show the pampers value so I returned it and will find something else

  40. Janelle

If I use the CVS Q for free Cortizone, does it still count toward gas card?

  41. christina

So I have a $15 off any PF facial care and a $4 off any facial skin care purchase of $20 or more. Say if I bought four PF foundation/concealer for 5 bucks each, will I be able to use both of these coupons making then only $1oop?

    • SanDiegoShopper

Yes, you can. I was able to use both those coupons on two $19.99 PF skin care items when they were BOGO, so I paid 99 cents for $40 worth of skin care!

      • mel

The $15 Facial Care is for the Moisturizers & Cleansers line that are on sale $7.99, not foundation/concealer or other cosmetic/make up items. Cashiers are getting in trouble for accepting the coupon on cosmetics. Unless your store doesn’t sell the skin care line, then only the manager can approve the magic machine coupon on something else.

        • christina

          Gotcha, thanks!

  42. Ashley

Does anyone know if the clearanced pantene and covergirl items will still count towards the $10 free gas card when you buy $30? Someone please help, as I am going to CVS later 🙂

    • Ashley

And also… does the amount that you spend for the $30 qworth of porducts keep track, like could I buy $10 worth today, and then $20 tomorrow and then be able to get the $10 free gas card tomorrow?

      • Janelle

Yes! Your card will keep track and your balance will print at the bottom of your receipt.

    • Janelle

JUST got off the phone with Customer Service at CVS. The clearance Cover Girl does not count and the Pantene does not count unless it rings up 2/$6.50. I purchased four clearanced cover girl eye shadows and two 12.6 oz bottles of Pantene and NONE will count toward the reward. Totally bummed!!!! 🙁

      • Marie

My pantene that I purchased yesterday that was on clearance counted toward the gascard for me. Strange how it counts for some but not others.

  43. Whitney

Does anyone know how to access the rebate form for the Olay products? It’s mentioned in the add, but I can’t find it anywhere on the cvs.com site.

    • mel

go to olay.com then click the “offers” tab to access the rebate.

      • Whitney

        Thanks, Mel

  44. marlene

does anyone know if the p&g 10 visa of 50 is before coupons or afyer please help need to do tomorrow

    • SanDiegoShopper

      Before coupons 🙂

  45. marlene
