  1. Marissa

Does anyone know what the limit is for the photo paper and the staples paper?
    THANKS!

    • Marissa

Also could we use the zebra coupon to get the pens for 3$?!?!

      • Whitney

Should be able to as long as your Staples accepts man. coupons.

    • Sheri

The rebate for Staples paper has been limited to 2 packs the last 2 weeks. So I have 4 packs so far!

    • Nancy

Staples paper rebate limit is 2. HP photo paper rebate limit is 4.

  2. Renee Mack

I have a question. If you use a coupon on a staples free after rebate item does it become a money maker or do they reduce your rebate to post coupon price? I am thinking about using the 2.oo off zebra item Q for the rebate pens? Thanks collin, your the best.

    • Renee Mack

Oops I mean zebra pencils not pens

    • Whitney

Not sure, would be worth a try though, either way they’re free.

    • Paris

      They become a money maker.

  3. Whitney

Last week I did the binder recycle and was allowed to get 2 of the $1 binders for free! Also used the zebra coupon at Wal-Mart to make $1 on each pack of pens I got.

    • Whitney

On the pens, I price matched them since they were $1 at Staples.

  4. michelle w

for the items that are limited to a certain number per customer, does the cashier or the register enforce the limit?

    • Whitney

You can buy as many as you want, but will only get the rebate or super cheap price for the limited number of items.

  5. Whitney

Don’t forget about the $5 off $30 coupon Collin posted about earlier in the week!

  6. Lisa

I have a question on the multi purpose paper, it was on sale last week and I have submitted for my 2 refunds. It is now on sale again this week, do I get another 2 refunds since it is on sale again?

    • michelle w

yes since its a new offer for a new week

  7. Valerie L.

Not school related but rather couponing related. I like to use the Staples Stickies ½” Tape Flags, Bright Colors that are 25 cents to mark in the ads what I am going to get or even what “in ad” coupons I am going to use.

    • Pamela

Yeah, I like those little flags too. I have a lot of ways to use them. I also use them if I see something in a magazine, that I later want to look into online, or a recipe I want to try etc. I always try to get these when they are 25 cents.

  8. Bolger

Coupons reduce your rebates. It would be best to get your freebies through rebates and save your coupons for possible freebies at Target or other stores. The $5 off $30 Staples coupons also take a percentage off EACH item reducing your rebate amounts. Not worth it in my opinion.

    • terri

Coupons don’t reduce your rebates, they reduce your rewards.

  9. glylibra

im not sure if this has been answered, but i tried looking for information about it but couldn’t find any….

can we use staples rewards on rebate items and still get rebate back? i know you can’t use staples rewards on rewards items (and get rewards back)…but i was wondering if this pertains to rebates as well…thanks…

    • sam

Yes you can use your rewards on rebate items and get your rebate back.

  10. Jessie

Does anybody know if you can use the $5/$30 coupon with the B2G1 HP ink deal? Thanks!

    • Amber

I’m looking at the coupon and the fine print says “not valid on the purchase of hp and epson ink and toner”. 🙁

  11. Allison

So one deal would be to get to your five dollars(or more than five) with the rebate items so that you can buy the 1 cent items. That’s correct, right?

    • Karin

      Yes 🙂

  12. Michele

Is there a link for the Easy rebate items or item numbers?

  13. Teri

Can I use the easy rebate item to reach my $30 to use the $5 coupon?

    • ali

Of course, that’s why I love Staples! Example: Buy 3 of the photo paper @9.99 and 2 of each of the penny deals =$30.01, then use the $5 off $30 coupon, pay $25.01 and submit for the photo paper rebates of $26.97 and it’s a $1.96 moneymaker! There are a million possibilities, but it seems like every week during BTS season, you can get everything free or make money at Staples. Hope that helps! 🙂

      • Pamela

        great advice!!!

      • Teri

Thanks soo much. I just started checking out staples. Submitted my first rebates last week!

      • Carol_R

        That’s a great deal.

  14. Rachel

Is 200 sheets of construction paper for 3 a good deal? I have no idea never bought it before

    • Julie

I just saw in the Target flyer 96 sheets for $1.00. So a better deal at Target this week.

  15. Pamela

If you are buying these pens:
Pentel Finito! Porous Point, Extra-fine Pens reg 6.00 on sale for $2.00
Be on the lookout for BOGO free packs! At first I picked up some packs in the pen aisle, but later in a dump bin in the main aisle of the store, I found DOUBLE packs that say BUY 1 GET 1 FREE, so was able to essentially get a $6.00 pack of nice pens for only $1.00 each!!! These are two packs that are taped together.

    • Anne

Yes, I saw that too! Was pretty excited!

  16. andrea

Thanks Colin! I shopped here today for the first time using the rewards and rebates! How much fun! We needed a shredder and ink so we used the $25/1 shredder and also used the $5/$30 coupon available on the website! AND since we own an HP printer it was B2G1 Free! Plus I picked up ALL the Easy Rebates, penny deals, 25 cent and 50 cent deals! Stocked up my Army husband for all his school supplies and my kids! PLUS I just entered in my Rewards Card online as well as $20 in Rebates I should get back to my Paypal account! That was a nice surprise! I will be shopping there next Sunday too! THANK YOU!

  17. Sue Donym

In-store, if you are using Staples Rewards to pay for items, can you also use coupons in the same order?

  18. Anne

Now, THAT was a fun shopping trip. In the end I spent $9 for a ton of stuff—and I happen to love those cute cut-out post-its (Stocking stuffers for my teacher daughter). School supply drive is coming up and those 1cent items (and much more) go there. And a super nice checker guy explained the easy rebates to me! Thanks Collin!!!

  19. Mia

I got a great deal with Martha Stewart Avery products coupon. They had organizer sheets on sale for $1.90 plus a coupon for $2.00 off any MS Avery binder or organizer item(these were at staples by binders) so this was free! They’re great for organizing coupons as they’re a thin plastic and have 2 pockets. This also counted towards .1 c items.

    • milly

Hi Mia. Are the organizer sheets at $1.90 regularly priced or is this on clearance sale? I went to Staples today, I did not find these $1.90 organizer sheets.. Thanks.

  20. Mia

Yes, they were on sale. They’re a blue/green color and the top reads secure top sheet protectors 10 pack. The coupons were in a little box by regular binders. The coupon adjusted down. The next lowest MS item was $3.99.

    • milliy

Thanks, Mia. I’m sorry, I have another question.. Were the MS organizer sheets marked on sale or did you get surprised they were on sale? Thanks..

      • Mia

They were marked. There are different kinds. Some gave pockets, some don’t . Went to a differs staples today and they were also on sale. Coupons are by regular binders!

        • milliy

          Thanks again, Mia!

          • milly

I went today, the Staples here in SoCal probably don’t have them on sale yet. I am so waiting for this awesomeness! =)

  21. Teri

I Went yesterday. Only my second time at staples. I got 2 packs of paper, I pack of photo paper, highlight markers, pack of pens, pack pencils, stickies flags, 2 packs of erasers, and 2 packs of index cards, used my $5 off $30. After rebates, I made about $1.00!! Love to be able to help my family out!!
