Calling all my fellow coffee addicts! You all know that I do not need anyone to twist my arm to venture into Starbucks for coffee no matter what the time of day; however, now that the Starbucks Treat Receipt is back starting tomorrow 8/1, you’ll definitely find me at Starbucks more than I care to admit! 😉

For the month of August (8/1-8/31), make any Starbuck’s purchase before 2PM and then enjoy any Grande cold beverage for just $2 (plus tax) after 2PM the same day at participating stores in the U.S. and Canada. Just remember to show them your receipt when you return!

(Thanks, Dayna & Coupon Verve!)

Does anyone know if this can be redeemed with free drink coupons? I have a birthday coupon I need to use ASAP, so for example, if I went tomorrow morning and got a free drink with my birthday coupon, will it print out a treat receipt on the bottom?

    Thanks!

It should…ask for the receipt, I’m sure they’d give you one if you tell them why you want it!

my stores in SC won’t give you a receipt if you have a coupon for a free drink but that’s in SC

I’m not sure I’ve seen this mentioned on any deal blogs but if you buy a gift card you can register it and earn rewards. My fiancee is at the Gold Level (when program first launched you could buy a gold card – now you earn your way) and they send him coupons for starbucks products (their canned/bottled beverages or ice cream) and he also earns free drinks. While i know this isn’t entirely about saving money (you still have to put money on the gift card and keep using it that way to earn the points) but if you are a starbucks addict or even just if you go there once or twice a week the rewards can add up. You do only earn 1 star per time the card is swiped (whether you buy 1 drink or 4) but there are some good rewards such as free regular coffee, iced coffee or tea refills after only 5 stars.

Yes! I absolutely LOVE my Gold Card! And its like you said, if you go there often the free drink is worth it. Even if you don’t go as often, the points add up. I love the app for my iphone too, keeps me update. 🙂

If you buy more than 1 item in a transaction, have them ring them up separate so that you get the stars. I have done this several times if I was buying a drink for a friend/relative and the cashiers have never had a problem with it. I just mention that I want to get a star for each drink!! 🙂

I don’t remember this event in the past. Any purchase? Does it have to be coffee or can it be bottle water, cookies. My hubby works right next to Starbucks so he could make the morning purchase and save the receipt for me to go see him during lunch ;D

Sorry not sure why all my apostrophes are showing up as \

There used to be a Chase Starbucks card called duetto but it was a credit card. I’ve heard of their duetto rewards converting into a free program but I haven’t seen it available or advertised.

Hey thanks. Just found it here: https://www.starbucks.com/card/
Sounds interesting, any little freebie every once in a while is still a freebie. 😀

Hey, I’m a barista at Starbucks and I saw a few questions about the promo. yes, you can use a free drink certificate on the same purchase as the treat receipt drink. And the receipt is only for beverages, not pastries, but you can purchase anything in the morning in order to get the treat receipt. hope that clears things up!!

Is a frappacinno considered a cold drink?

Also so this means I can buy a cake pop for $1.50 and then come back that sane day after $2.00 and get my drink?

      • paranormalblogtivity

The treat receipt should show up on every receipt. It’s automatically printed on purchases before 2pm!

If you go at 1:55p or close to 2p, you’ll still get a treat drink receipt. I’ve done that and saved a trip. Got a drink for me and my friend in one stop.
