I learned this the hard way today 🙁 I bought 6 in one transaction and only got 1 voucher. I went to the service desk and they explained that the vouchers are PER transaction, not per item. I asked if I could return my purchase and re-buy them in separate transactions. They said yes but that I cannot re-use the mfr coupons I originally used since they are already in the cash register and must remain there. I’ve never, ever heard such a thing! As you can imagine I wasn’t happy…
So since they didn’t give you back the coupons, did they refund you the money? I ask this because they will get the money for each of those coupons and they should have refunded you the amount of the items. I have refunded an item before that I used a coupon on and they they gave me the full amount for the item -even though I used a coupon. I would have been happy for the amount I paid and the coupon but they didn’t have the coupon.
Does that make sense?
I hadn’t thought of that, Pamela but you’re right! I didn’t end up making the return. I didn’t like the idea of being out all those coupons so I just went on my way (steaming!) but I should have asked if my refund would’ve been for the full price. Darn it!!!! you can still do your return, you have 2 months I think to do the return.
That is just plain wrong! If that’s how they want to handle it, then they need to include the coupon value in the refund amount. Otherwise, they will have made CONSIDERABLE money off of your small slip.

So what do you guys think of using the Glade Oil Diffuser starter kits as teacher gifts in gift baskets at christmas? You know throw in some other classroom supplies etc. Is that too tacky? I have 4 teachers we will have to be doing gifts for and I’m going to have to resort to freebies this year. Let me know your thoughts ☺

Yes, I’m putting together a gift basket for a friend’s wedding shower next spring (I like to plan ahead 🙂 ), and I’m including a fragrance mist starter kill and/or an oil diffuser starter kit.
They are really cute, I like them! If it was a regular air freshener, I think it’d be tacky but i like these ones.

i think it’s a really nice idea, especially throwing in extra school supplies that they will always need and that you can score for cheap right now.

FYI- I did separate transactions at self check out, but the cashier had to come over and approve the coupons for each individual transaction.
I printed mine yesterday and my ink was so low (?) I doubt the bar code can be read…:(

Yeah, my Target took them all off. They were there before these coupons came out, but now they are gone! Still a great deal, I plan to use my for gifts as well.
The catalina is also at Safeway from 8/6 – 9/2/2012.
Has anyone had any trouble using these at the commisary? The cashier would not take mine because the starter kits cost less than the coupon is valued at. When i read the coupon policy it seems to be in my favor though. I’m confused.
You can get overage at the commissary. I bought Bayer for $1.79 and used a $3 Q and they gave me the overage. I am pretty sure it says in their coupon policy that overage is allowed.
Thanks alex. They have this rule that if the printed coupons beep they flat out wont take them. I’ve never heard of that either. I cant find that anywhere in the coupon policy
this is valid at any store(safeway, target, walgreens, even some riteaid now..) where there are catalina machines attached to the registers?

The only place I’m sure about is Meijer but CAUTION: you must do separate transactions for each in order to get the $1 catalina.

I bought the Oil Diffuser and Fragrance Mist together at Target and both had the “try me free rebate” tags, but since there is only one receipt can I fill out the appropriate form for each one and mail it out together in one envelope? From looking at the form it seems to be going to the same place.
I had to buy mine at Kroger because the Walmart close to me is always out on great deals. I honestly think they remove these deal items just so they don’t have to give them away with coupons. Anyway, my question is if the starter kits I bought a Kroger don’t say try me free on them does that mean I can’t use them for the rebate? If so that doesn’t seem fair. I’ve never tried these before and I can’t find the try me kits.
You need to have the TMF tag, you have to mail it in with the form & receipt.
Yeah thats what I thought. I did good enough to be able to get out to buy the stuff. They were $4.29 at Kroger so I had to pay $1.29 for them. Kroger can be so high sometimes. Guess I won’t even be able to do the rebate on even one of them.
Is the catalina good towards anything? or just the glade, cuz if your getting it for free with a 3.00 coupon, why would you even want the 1.00 coupon?? Becuase you can’t use both right?

I think so. I tried to print it night before last and couldn’t get it to print. Went to try again yesterday and it was gone. 🙁
Just heads-up, the coupon will beep and require Cashier approval. Make sure you get a friendly cashier. I was lucky I had a very friendly cashier who did not mind the seperate transactions and the approvals she had to do even though I used the self-checkout. I did not try rolling the catalinas hence cannot vouch for that.

i just went to meijers this morning and picked 6 of each,they are really strong,and you can smell them throughout rooms,i usually spray aerosol everyday because of the dogs,so it will be nice not having to spray all the time,i had also picked up the iams dog treats,they are only a dollar after the mperks if you have it,i got 5 altogether,for different accounts,and i had also gotten i think almost free met r x bars,there was a $2/2 mperk and the $2/2 coupon to print out,so $4/2 plus one free

I got the pineapple mangostein flavor. It smells like sunscreen. The box shows that they have a clean cotton scent, but my store doesn’t stock it.
Hi. I don’t understand Transaction #2. It looks like it says to buy 1 oil diffuser starter kit, use the $5.00 off coupon towards it and the Catalina towards it too. Aren’t Catalinas manufacturer coupons, so you wouldn’t be able to use both coupons for the one item? Or is the Catalina a Meijer coupon, only able to use at Meijer?
I went to walmart to get this and they were off the shelf.. completly gone.. I did however find the oil reed disfuser thing on a clearnace shelf. I had 4 coupons so i got four for free. but i could not find the mist starter kit this is midwest IL

Went to Target and Walmart today to pick some of these up and they are all gone. 🙁 person or persons cleared the shelves literally! Now neither one of them will have them back in stock till my coupons expire! I have noticed that Target is taking after Walmart when it comes to NOT restocking an item that there is a hot coupon for till AFTER the EXP. Date!
