I was so luckily i was at the recycle bins and i found over 100 newspapers with the P and G insert (September) The Red Plum 8/26 and SS 8/19 in everyone SCORE!!!!!!!

    • just me

Just curious, what you could possibly do with 100 inserts.

    • Marissa

where do you find recycle bins???

    • shanshan

Err… Did you bring enough to share with everyone? I found it odd in EVERY paper you would find inserts from different Sundays. Anyway… maybe that’s why they’re throwing the papers out.

I dumpster dive too in outdoor public recycling bins (The huge ones that has to be emptied by trucks). It’s a good steady supply of coupon inserts, and once in a while might hit the jackpot when a nearby grocery store dispose of the Sunday papers that didn’t sell well. When that happens I simply pass them out till I have the amount of insert I can work with. I don’t want to be obsessed with trying to use up every single one of the hot coupons, being there, not a pretty thing…

I had the same thing happen to me in late June-found out where the paper person was putting the left over SS that we get delivered in the mail here. I pulled over 60 SS inserts from 1 week alone but the SS we’ve been getting lately for free in the mail don’t have all the coupons in them and I just buy the papers so I can get all the inserts.

My issue with getting these is I don’t know what to do with them lol. I’ve still got plenty from the last time there was a $3 coupon. No one wants just the warmer without the refills for it. Any ideas anyone?

    • Joy

That’s why I don’t understand why people get excited about getting these for free. You still got to buy the refills. Who needs a 100 of the actual warmer units when you can reuse them anyway if you BUY the refills? LOL.

      • Deb

I still have a bunch of these sitting around in my air freshener stockpile too.
I usually tuck one in the gift bags I give to folks. Then they’re stuck with ’em. Hehehehe

      • L C

I just get the coupons for these because they give me $.66 in overage at my commissary. I too give them away.

    • HeathersHollanderHut

I was wondering if these were just the unit and no refill – this answers my question! Perhaps this is a marketing strategy – give them the unit for free, then they buy the refills!

    • sherri

…walmart takes anything back…return them and make 3 bucks each

      • Sabrina

Sure, but that’s extremely dishonest and irresponsible couponing!

  3. amber

same here, they like to take up dust and space, if you donate them its like here you go now go buy your refills which isn’t right so the coupon doesn’t do me any good.

    • just me

      Refills cost so much =(

  4. gary

Yeah I feel the same way, the warmer unit is useless without the refills and they are usually pretty expensive even with coupons.

  5. Guest

Yeah, it’s like the Febreeze Set & Refresh. I’ve got a million of them, but you can’t find just the refill!

    • Kristen

Same with glade! I have the plugins, just no refills 🙂 didn’t think that one through

  6. Renee

It’s the same thing as with the Lysol No Touch hand soap dispenser. We all got and still get coupons and when we work the deals we can get these for really cheap. However, the refills are $3.99- hardly ever on sale and try finding coupons for them.

    • Emily

With a little work and a butter knife you can easily pry the lid off of the bottle and refill w/any soap/dishsoap you like!! I’ve been using the same one that I got way back when it first came out. 🙂

      • mel

I have 2 dispensers, 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the bathroom. Like Emily, I pop the top off with a butter knife and refill the bottle with soap I already have in my stockpile. Much cheaper to buy dial or softsoap (or even store brand) and refill with them than buying lysol that never puts out refill coupons!

        • MIchelle735

Me too… I also do this with my swifer wet jet refill.

    • Renee

I have the dispenser and used to refill with my own soap too until it started “acting crazy”. The dispenser would go off when I turned the lights on or off in my bathroom. I called Lysol but they were not able to help so now I have a dispenser just sitting there.

      • mel

oh, I had that happen once, it would dispense on its own out of the blue. Freaked me out! What I did was clean out the dispenser part (it was gummed up!) and replaced the batteries. Its been fine since.
I did notice the problem started when I used soap with the beads, so now I just use plain soap, and I add 2 tbsp of water before I refill the container. The water helps thin out the soap and it will reconstitute and not make the hand soap quite as thick.

        • Renee

I did change the batteries then but that didn’t help. I have never used soap with beads but I will try your suggestion of adding 2 tbsp of water before refilling…maybe that will help. Thanks Mel.

    • Suzanne T

My husband drilled a small hole in the op of the dispenser. Now i just pour my free soap in it. Plus know one really can see the hole.

      • Crystie

Agreed 🙂 We did the same thing and no one knows the difference!

  7. Bob Young

  8. Lacey

  10. kim

Does anyone knows who i should be complaining to when I bought 2 sunday news papers from Walmart but each has only 1 coupon from Smartsource and 1 from P&G. I am very upset I thought i was saving money by buying them from Walmart.
Please let me know, thank you in advance 🙂

    • ashli

Most paper companies will say subscribers get them first so this happens

  11. stacia

i used the coupon on the 2 pack of warmers. They were priced 2.50 and the 1 pack was priced 2.97. Tell me how that makes sense!??!?!? OH well, 50 cents overage for me 🙂 (this was at Walmart)

  12. Lacey

Just noticed the Gather Together Home Made Simple coupon booklets you can request P&G to mail you has a $1/1 Febreze Noticeables refill coupon. Didn’t check the price of the refills when I picked up the warmer but at least there is coupons to use for the refills incase anyone’s interested.

  13. michelle

so it does not come with no frag. just the warmer

  14. Sydney

I didn’t have this product at my Walmart store. 🙁
