I know this is way out of left field but does any one know if Food Lion will roll the $10 Catalina? For example I got one on Saturday from Bi-Lo and am thinking of going to do it at Food Lion and using the catalina to pay for it…will it print another $10 catalina if I do that???

Can you use the gift card towards the same deal on stayfree? and still get another gift card?

    • Amanda

Yes but you would have to do it in seperate transactions

  3. Amanda

Is the starbucks deal only on natural flavor starbucks? Or all starbucks coffee?

My Target will not allow me to use coupons to bring a pre-gift card total at or below the value of the gift card. I ran into it the first time about 6 months ago (never had a problem before that) and they’ve stuck right to it ever since. If I get a $5 gift card for buying 3, the price I’m paying has to be at least $5.01. It’s such a pain. It’s not specifically addressed either way in the coupon policy so corporate says the individual stores have the right to “interpret” sales and limit coupons as they see fit. Has anyone encountered this at their store? FYI Concord and Hooksett, NH

    • Ashley57

That stinks! I have not heard of that here in Fl.

    • Amanda

The only thing I have encountered is the pre-coupon total for a gift card offer has to be 5.00 or more…. but the total after coupons can be lower than 5.00.
Because the system prompts for the gift card before the coupons have been taken so they shouldn’t make a difference. I’m in IL, but HTH.

I live in Ohio and have not ran into this but it doesn’t surprise me. Target employees make up their own rules about coupons at my stores all the time. I can never use a coupon on trial/travel sizes even if the coupon doesn’t state this but the best was when I had a coupon last year for plus size apparel (sp) and they wouldn’t accept their own coupon for clothing because the manager said that pajamas weren’t apparel. I asked since when and she said the coupon was meant for clothing you would wear outside of your house!! I’ve also had them refuse Merona/Mossimo coupons telling me I had to purchase the exact clothing pictured on the coupon?!

I would absolutely complain about that kind of coupon “interpretation”. One of my stores was getting fussy about my coupons and I went over to Customer Service and had them call the corporate office for me. When I explained the situation to corporate they agreed with everything I was saying. They asked to talk to the cashier who wasn’t cooperating and explained I wasn’t “trying to get away with anything – that I was using the coupon policy correctly”. Customer service accepted all my coupons and profusely apologized. It wasn’t a lot of money, I think it was about $4 worth, but I had to stand up for the principle of it! Besides, I think some cashiers get confused about some of the training they get to avoid coupon fraud and get a little over-zealous with EVERY coupon.

    • Chrissie

I’m glad they didn’t do that to me. I just spent .12 and got $10 worth of gift cards.

    • Robin

Karen, I would go the extra mile to the Bedford Target. I’ve never had a single problem there, all cashiers are great!

I really hope there’s some carefrees left when I can go. I use these type of items EVERY day.

The $2 stayfree coupon states “one coupon per person. No more than 4 coupons (of any kind) for the same product in the same transaction.” I used (3) $2 stayfree coupons in the same transaction (it was me, my husband & my 2 kids with me hence 1 coupon per person & less than 4 qs per transaction) and paid $2.67 tax OOP & got the $5 gc. Very tricky wording on this coupon!

  7. Julie

i just had the hardest time with this deal. The pads were not ringing up at 1.57 but 2.99. When they went to change it the system would not let them do it if it was after they did the giftcard (put $5 on it). THey were very patient with me and tried to change it. Only two were able to be changed to 1.57 and the other one was only able to be changed to 2.33 (or something like that). This is really frustrating. I hate doing Target promotions because they are NEVER right.

    • katie

same thing happened to me except the people were not nice, i did get the deal though, and the manager pulled the tags stating that “a new person put them up and theyre incorrect”

I bought 3 Stayfree products @ $2.89 each and use 3- $2.00/1 Stayfree coupon along with a $1.00 off 1 Stayfree Target Coupon from my Sunday paper.
Total out of pocket including tax was $1.83 and I received the $5.00 gift card without a hitch.

  9. Monica

The Starbucks is for all flavors. Don’t forget you can bring your empty bags into a Starbucks store for a free tall brewed coffee.

    • vikky

      thank you! thats great deal!

i’m in oakland county (MI) & i get 2 papers (oakland press & observer), but neither have the better/high value coupons in them 🙁 & these are paid subscriptions! but i’ve been getting a “Yes!” sleeved paper (I guess from the detroit free press) delivered free for a while now & it has the better Q’s in it (yay!). how does this make any sense? although, i didn’t get it this week, major bummer. anyone know anything about this paper and how to get more? tia!

    • Ada - Lovin Him

      Hi Melissa,
I live in Oakland County too and haven’t seen the “yes” paper but I do buy the Sunday Detroit Free press at Dollar Tree for a buck so it’s not a bad deal considering the value of the coupons in it 🙂

      • melissa

that’s a great idea, thanks! 🙂 do u happen to know if i can just get it on Sunday? or would they have it the night before/morning after? Thanks!

I went to 2 different Target locations & did not find the carefree liners for $1.57.

    • Mila

Yeah, same here. I saw the $5 gift card deal but the liners were priced at $3.17.

    • animity

Ours were still priced at 2.89. Still a decent deal tho…6.17oop and get the 5.00gc it comes to .39/package. Still a good deal just not a money maker.

  13. Keekee

I’m here in Chicago on the southside, I bought 2 stayfree pads 18ct $2.89 and 1 carefree 54ct $2.97,$8.75total, used 2 $2off 1 .50off and 2 $1off target coupon, took off $6.50 paid $2.25before tax and got back $5.00gift card $2.75MM Oh, no out of pocket cost used previous gift card from Olay deal a couple of weeks ago did 7 transactions I love couponing 🙂

  14. wendy

I live in northeast ohio and the only pads with a gift card deal were the always pads that were priced at $5.99. I think it was buy 2 get a $5 gift card.

  15. Rebekah

At my store in utah, the carefree were not on sale, but were $3.14 EACH, making the deal not so good. However, I did get 3 stayfree packs and used 3x $2/1 coupons no problem, making the deal a $2.33 money maker after the $5 gc.

  16. Cheryl

I just tried to do the Stayfree deal at Target by price matching to Walgreens at $1.99 but the register would not let it work with all three $2 off coupons. Maybe I could have tried only using 2 coupons per gift card or other scenarios but the manager came over and enforced the one coupon rule. I told her I would literally go across the street to Walmart and I did. Walmart limited me to 4. So then I had to go to Walgreens. The whole thing was an extreme exercise in patience.
