    Thanks.

There was a coupon in a Smartsource for this a week or two ago as well I think? Also for $1 off 2 or something?

When this gum first came out, I got a handfull of different flavors and… yuck! It was not refreshing and had an odd after taste.

    • Erin

Ditto! I like mint gum, bubble gum, and fruit-flavored gum, but mixing mint with those other flavors is icky. Plus, it seems to melt more in my car than other gum. These are on clearance for good reason!

I did this deal yesterday in SE WI (with the 15% discount added in). Free gum for my son!

I’m new to shopping at Walgreens and I have $22 in Register Rewards about to expire on the 1st. I have: $10, $4, $3, $3, $1, $1. How can I spend them to get the most RRs back for next week? The $10 can’t be spent on the Heartburn product because it is from the same company.

    • Tina

Do the kraft deal to get the $10 back for buying ten items . I did that deal plus the heartburn med, gilette razor, crest toothpaste, help i have a blister and glade expression…….retail was 77.00 paid 12.00 and some change but I used all my RR’s to buy eggs, bacon, batteries things i needed. I started with no RR’s. HTH 🙂

I did this yesterday using my coupons out of the Smart Source a few weeks ago. At first the cashier refused to accept the coupon because “it was cheap already so she wasn’t going to allow me to use the coupon” and when I asked her to get the manager instead of bringing him to the register she went “to the back” to talk to him. Afterwards she accepted 2 of the coupons but refused to price adjust the remaining coupon I had because according to her “you aren’t supposed to be able to get stuff for free”. Instead of arguing with her some more I paid the extra few cents for the gum. It is really frustrating when you run into cashiers who refuse to follow the coupon policy of the store. Has anyone else ever had anything like this happen to them?

Yes I have and after a very swift call to WGS corp. the district mgr. contacted me, then the store mgr & asked me to return to his store for some complementary goodies.
NEVER take this sort of incompetent behavior from an employee. They are there to serve YOU. This person owes her job in part to your business in that store.
I suggest you contact Corp. be polite but FIRM in discussing your displeasure with your shopping experience & especially the poorly trained cashier.
You have to stand your ground sometimes…this is one of ’em.

There is a good reason it’s priced to sale. This gum is horrible! If its free it’s always for me…except this gum. I picked up some awhile back to try it and I’ve only opened one pack and the rest is collecting dust. It leaves a bad after taste and the flavors are gross. After awhile the gum hardens and I swear it could pull teeth.

I like this gum fine. I bought 8 packs with some coupons the other day.

  9. Mitchell

All cleared out at my stores. Oh well. 🙁

My family really likes this gum! I like the minty flavor and my two girls like the fruity one, so we are perfect for each other! My Walgreens in SW Minnesota had these on clearance yesterday for .27!!! I didn’t know about the Walgreens coupon, but I did have some manufacturer coupons for $1 off two —- YAY for lots of free gum my family loves!

  11. melissa

My walgreens ib broome county ny didn’t have them marked down. I even scanned it 🙁

  12. Kimberly

I picked up 95 Packs of this stuff today at my Walgreens. Final Cost was a BIG ZERO! All of them are being donated to the concession stand for my daughter’s Pop Warner Cheer Team! I tried the gum and BLEGH. Yep, I know why it’s on sale!! lol

    • debra

It’s a nice thing for your daughters team but really, 95 packs? I guess you are one of the shelf clearing shoppers that prompted walgreens to change to the new shopper card.

  13. carol

My Walgreen’s wouldn’t let me use the coupon because it exceeded the value of the two packs of gum. This is one of the reasons I don’t shop Walgreen’s often.

    • Holly

Did the cashier even scan the Q? Oh how I hate stores that go against corp policy.

There’s 1 Wags nearby (which, sadly, is located 1 block from work) that I avoid like the plague! At all times thier employees (including the managers) will make some sort or excuse why they can not accept Q’s valued higher than the product. Then I show the Q policy regarding adjusting down a Q or for a BOGO deal, they say “we cannot physically enter that into the registers”.

Has anyone in California try this deal yet? Is it on clearance?

    • Brandon

Yes in So. CA and it works, but not every store has them on sale.

  15. margaret in seattle

two of the stores located on busy streets were all sold out on this gum last week but i found 2 boxes (24 pks together) at a smaller store in a remoted residential area today! yeah! free gums for me, and i can always donated if i don’t like them. oh! maybe an alternative to candies at halloween.
