  1. blinkycoupons

Almost all the coupons you mentioned in the Washington RP was in my RP (I get one in the mail on Thursday and then the regular ones in my Sunday paper). I’m in the Houston area.

    • A

did u get the safeway rebate?

      • Blinky

No unfortunately. I was hoping I’d get it 🙁

  2. Jul

How long do you keep your coupon inserts? I do not cut out coupons until I know that I need them–I write the date on the insert and then keep all of my coupon inserts in a shoe box. I know that p & g insert coupons expire after just one month, but rp and ss insert coupons have varying expiration dates. Does anyone have a suggestion for this? It is a bit too much of a hassle to go through old inserts and see if there are any coupons that have not yet expired. Thanks for any ideas you can share.

    • Anntots

I used to cut-off all the coupons in every insert, but later on get tired of doing it because it’s time consuming. I switch to the one you do, but I really choose to cut the coupons that I would definitely need, and the ones that I could possibly buy. Also, I only cut the coupons that has a higher value and has the potential to be a moneymaker, like $2 coupons, but the regular price range of the product will not exceed $3-$5. Whenever a sale is said to be a $1 moneymaker, and I don’t want or need that product, I always include and calculate the after tax of the item. If it’ s still a moneymaker, then I’ll get it. But if not, I don’t bother because I maybe getting the item for free after rewards or ecb, but if I still need to pay tax on it, then it’s not free.

    • Delia

I purge inserts at the beginning of every month, removing all the pages that have expired coupons. Then my 7 yr old makes coupon angels with the pages. He enjoys it when I go through my coupons because he knows he gets to play in them before they go to recycling.

    • A

If u dont want to waste time going through them just keep then six months and u can toss them. The coupons will have surely expired by them. That is what I do.

    • Gaby

Every time I get the inserts I go through them and look at the expiration date of each coupon. Looking for the one that has the longest expiration date. Then I just put the date of the insert and expiration date of the coupon that is last to expire (ex. 9/9 exp. 12/31). That way all I have to do is look at the front page to know when it has expired.

This doesn’t take much time but it saves me so much time.

    • melissa

Here is an idea. How about when the coupon insert preview is posted you print it and put it on top of the insert. That way your coupons are all listed on the front page

    • Jul

Thanks everyone for the ideas! I think I’m going to try looking at the coupon insert preview, finding the last expiration date listed for each, and then writing that date on the cover of the insert. So many good methods and it’s so helpful to hear them. I appreciate it.

  3. Renee

I tried to do the whole insert method but I just couldn’t remember what coupons I had so I went back to cutting them out and putting in my binder.

  4. mel

I use the same method of storage, but I do clip the coupons of products I regularly purchase. to make it easier when its time to.purge, I note the last exp date on a sticky note to the front cover. Example, 8/19 SS ~ X12/31/12. This way I can see at a glance instead of flipping through each insert if its time to toss. Must advise be careful on the pg inserts, sometimes they have a longer exp date than 30 days.

  5. Sarah

Oh!! I hope I get te Safeway rebate!!!

    • Sarah

no Safeway rebate for me! Darn. If anyone has an extra rebate I’ll trade coupons. Parisandlondon@att.net. Thanks

  6. Tracy
