Thanks for all the tireless work you do to help thousands of total strangers on a daily basis. This site had been such a blessing to our family and I have told probably close to 100 people about it. It is truly the couponing world’s best kept secret!!

    • Michelle L.

I agree! This site is the most helpful, and I visit often. Thank you so much for all the hard work!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awww… thanks so much Amy and Michelle for the kind words! I really appreciate you sharing the site with others and I am glad that you find it so helpful. 😀

  2. Mer

There’s a speed stick ibotta coupon too!!

      • Stacy

Thanks for the info on ibotta. I just haven’t been to impressed with it yet. I got the coffee creamer to try it out. I scanned the product and it said it was a match. When I went to send my target receipt it came back rejected. I tried again and the same results. I emailed customer service and they said I got the wrong product. It said any and it said it was a match. Don’t like their customer service so far.

        • Emma

I’m looking at the app now and it will only let me redeem for lady speed stick at Target and Walmart but not Walgreens. Not sure why

        • Melinda

I had a similar issue when I sent a copy of the receipt. I persisted that I purchased the exact item in the photo. Customer Service was very kind and appologized and gave me the credit. I think I’ll buy the Capri Sun, which will get me to the $5 required to request your money earned and see how that end of it works.

    • K

I did the bogo free speed stick deal- got one lady speed stick and one men’s in order to get each of the Ibotta deals. Submitted my receipt and only got the Ibotta money back for the men’s. I’m thinking it might be because the lady speed stick was the free one. I’m going to try to dispute it but even if I don’t get it, it will still be a good deal:
      1 speed stick and 1 lady speed stick= $3.49 w/ bogo free
      -(2) $1/1 speed stick coupons
      -$1.25 Ibotta money
      = 24¢ for both

      • K

In case anyone was curious, I did email Ibotta about not accepting my receipt and they emailed me back saying they credited my account. Very good customer service I think. So this was a moneymaker for me.

  3. Brittany

    Thanks Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Scotts paper towel coupon in the 10/21 SS or RP?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It is in the 10/21 SS…. just updated the post. Thanks!

  8. Zoe

Am I the only one who found out the hard way that you cannot EARN balance rewards if you USE balance rewards to pay for the item?

    • Kate

It says that that’s not allowed in the program description. In the booklets in store and online.

  9. SandyK

I’ve lost my excitement with Walgreen’s since the Rewards program came into play. Just doesn’t seem to be as many great deals.

    • Heather

      I agree!

    • Deanna

I COMPLETELY agree! I was just looking at these match ups and was like…BOOO! lol I’m so gonna miss all the great deals from Wags. =(

    • Carissa

Same here! Lost interest in Wags.

  10. wags ba

i just wanna put this out here not accusing any one of doing this but the other day at my store somone went to the front with one of my coworkers who is knew and pulled some illegal coupoing stuff and she fell for it being new she got the acu check strips that are 72.00 the whole shelf got a whole bunch of gift cards and other expensive products had her ring up the mfg coupon for 30.00 first then gave her the 50.00 ivc and it glitched giving her massive overage of hundreds of daollars for 900 worth of products she paid 12 bucks and these were gift cards in her order to walgreens store coupons must be given first walgreens does not give overage with this being done walgreens may stop taking coupons because we were out hundreds of dollars of products u are suppose to get the strips for free not 40 dollars overage on each one all it takes is one person to ruin it for others all im a couponer so i am not trying to be coupon police or anything

    • rosebudds

Did you page the manager on duty to see about the transaction before it was finished?

      • wags ba

I was not there that day I was told about it when I came in next day to be aware I would have if I saw it but I’m in the beauty dept and it happened up front

    • Alex Amethea (@BahamaBunny)

didn’t know there was a coupon for the strips

      • wags ba

Me neither I’m thinking it was a fake coupon cuz I never seen it before and it was a 30 dollar coupon

    • deb

Punctuation makes things much easier to read, just an FYI

      • Lisa

        Yes, I totally agree with.

    • Elizabeth

its been posted on a few deal sites….Ive seen MANY brag about doing it. SUCKS

      • Patti

omg, but its going to make things more difficult for us honest couponers!!

  11. Jeanette

Just FYI, for the All, Snuggle, Quilted Northern deal, you have to spend $15 AFTER coupons to get the BR points.

    • ptcrn

I only spent $10 something after coupons and I got the BR points with no problem.

    • Dee

I did the deal with coupons and paid less than 15 and I got the points. I think it’s only if you use Walgreens coupons that it doesn’t count. As someone explained to me, manufacturer’s coupons still count because they count as money for Walgreens.

      • Andi

When I was at CVS, even brand new, allowing a customer to pull something like that would be grounds for immediate termination…

  12. Ashley

The Walgreens brand Shredded cheese is good cheese. I love it and buy it everytime it is in sale. 1.50 without coupons is a good price!! Thanks Collin. Just thought id let you know the quality is great!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! That’s great to hear! 🙂

    • lisa

I totally agree about the Nice! cheese. I always buy the 8 oz cheddar block when it’s on sale.

    • maflies1

Always stock up, too. Italian is Wonderful, also-as is any of it! 🙂 Now please leave some for me. LOL

  13. danielle

I did deals that were posted here (last weeks deals) and they didn’t work. Just wondering does it say anywhere that you need to reach the $ amount to get the balance points before or after coupons? Have only used the card 2 times and didn’t get any points, 2 different mgrs said it was because I need to reach the $ amount after all the coupons are used.

    • Jeanette

The balance is calculated AFTER coupons, Jill Cataldo posted this response from Walgreen’s on her site:

“The value of Balance Rewards points is awarded on the total purchase price after coupons and other savings have been factored in. This has been the Balance Rewards policy since the program launched nationally in September and has not changed.”

      • maflies1

Did not realize that. That stinks!

  14. Cindy

It’s getting so difficult to make out what people are trying to really say with all the texting from phones with auto correct…WOW!! Maybe…please…just read it first to see if it makes any sense at all. Not trying to be the “texting” or “email” police, but I end up reading and reading and reading to figure out what some entries are even trying to express…JUST SAYING.

    • Guest

I agree. Spelling and punctuation do matter. 🙂

      • maflies1

        Yes it does.

  15. Carol_R

    Thanks for the match-ups, Collin.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are most welcome! 🙂

  16. Wendy

I have also lost excitement for Walgreens since the new rewards program came out. I haven’t stepped foot in mine in about 3 weeks! That used to be unheard of!

    • Deb

I feel the same way. They got way too picky about using RRs and number of coupons and BOGO coupons, so I quit going. This new balance reward thing only makes it worse for me. No more WAGS for me!

  17. rose

Just wanted to say how much fun I have had the past few weeks getting to follow all the match-ups & deals you have posted. I work alot of long shifts (up to 14 hrs) trying to catch up from that recession we didn’t have! I did get to shop the WG ad this week on Friday with the 15% off coupon and got a saving of 71%! I think that is the best deal I have ever gotten. $98.58- $67.74 = $30.64! WOW! I also won a Keurig K-cup Machine from Senokot, Bic Pen and a Annabel Doll & T-shirt from klondike Potatoes.
    Thank you so much!

    • Jennifer

Congratulations on your wins! That is awesome!

      • rose

        Thanks!

I have stopped shoping so much at Walgreens. The deals aren’t so good any more.

    • didijojo

      Sad but true. =(

    • Brenda

I agree completely with the disappointment with Wags. I used to shop there at least once a week, and now go only for last minute school projects! They are missing A LOT of my business with this new focus.

  19. C

I toyally agree . I only went yesterday to stock up on the awesome diaper deal they had. I use to shop there 2x a week. I am not a fan of the new balance program at all.

  20. Alicia

I had an issue with last weeks candy deal. Buy $20 and get 5000 points. I bought $20 of candy and did not get bonus points. I asked the store manager and he told me, “it must be becasue you used coupons?” I was not satisfied with that so I called the number on the back of the card. She explained to me that manufacture coupons count towards the total purchase price (because they are reimbursed for the money), but walgreens coupons (in october booklet) do not. So my total (minus the walgreens coupons) was $18.47. I guess when we figure the deals that you must spend a total dollar amount we need to make sure we subtract the walgreeens coupon amount from the total. I am not sure if anyone else has come across this?

    • Kate

Yeah that’s true, I’m an employee and that’s how is always been. Your total is counted after all Walgreens coupons

  21. toni

there are so many stores out there to shop, so dont be sad that you have to drive to other store to get a great deal. the rule of couponing is Not to be brand loyal.

  22. kristen

Thanks Collin! It’s been MONTHS since I’ve shopped walgreens…pretty much been using up my stock pile, but am now needing some of the household/personal care items again! First time doing the Balance rewards, I got some candy, 2 deodorants, paper towels, 4 packs of sponges & 2 Laundry Detergents. Spent $26-ish oop, got 3000 rewards points…and I’m not sure why, but I got a $10 off my next purchase coupon…although its only good today and tomorrow. So kinda like I got $13 back! Not too shabby!

    • Maggie

I bought something yesterday and also got a $5 off $20 coupon valid only for today

  23. Diane

Walgreens has a buy one get one 50% off this week on body wash. Can I use a BOGO coupon?

    • K

You can but your free item would be the 50% off item. So you’re just as well off getting it when it’s not bogo 50% off. Or wait for a better deal to use your coupon.

      • Kate

That’s not true. It depends on the cashier or store. I’m an employee avg out store policy is to deduct the full price item. So you would get two items for half the price of one

        • K

That’s never how it’s worked at my wags. The register automatically takes off the lesser item.

  24. Diane

Walgreens has a buy one get on 50% off this week on body wash. Can I use a buy one get one free coupon? I’m confused on this process.

    • wags ba

      Yes u can hth

  25. wags ba

Thanks to your site collin I was able to put 2 beauty baskets together for a contest in store. I am doing a basket giveaway everytime someone checks out in cosmetics in my store they get an entry it has helped my numbers improve and because of this site the baskets for a guy and a girl are filled with almost a thousand dollars retail price for not paying much out of pocket for any of it I’m gonna continue to do these thanks to your awesome deals and my custumers are all super excited

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What an awesome idea!! I wish I shopped at your local Walgreens! 😀

  26. MelissaA

I cleared out the remained of my RRs from 2 weeks ago since they expired today. End of that. The deals are gone, and the new point system really isn’t a good deal especially when you cannot get points when using them to purchase the item that is suppose to give back points. VERY bad move on WAGS part.
The cashier who knows me mentioned this morning that she hasn’t seen me and I told here I was just using up the rest of my RRs and Walgreens really isn’t on my shopping list any longer. She said their sales at the store has declined and that other older shoppers no longer stop in. So the employees at least are aware that this is costing Walgreens business and it should be reflected in their financial reports by next spring.
Then we’ll see if they smell the coffee or want to go down the drain.

    • Andi

I think that customers who are not couponers HATE having to use a card to get the sale price. Also infuriates people who are not regulars and just pop in to grab a couple of items!

  27. Rich

There is a $1/2 Necco Candy coupon in this week’s RP which would be good for those Mary Jane candies for $.99 at Walgreens (and they’re also on sale at Family Dollar for $.75 w/in-ad coupon. And thanks for all your hard work on the site every day!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! Thanks for the tip!

  28. Lesly

On the Schick Hydro Deal scenario that you have. Could you also use the $6 off one Hydro Silk Refill along with the BO Refill GO Razor Free? Making it a total of $12.49 for both items?

    • Patti

not at Walgreens, bogo counts as 2 coupons vs. 2 items. Would work at Target I think!

      • Tarri

No not Target, it works at CVS

      • K

My wags let me use 2 coupons. In fact the cashier even gave me the bogo coupon to use with my $ off coupon.

    • Dee

I did today at my CVS.

  29. Star

Hi i am new to this but really enjoying couponing, thank you for the time and effort that you put into this site. I have a question there is a b1g1 50% off on aleve and flinstone vitamins in the walgreens ad this week and i have 2 coupons each for $2.00 off both products. May i use 1 coupon for each product even though its b1g1 50% off ? I didn’t see it listed in the deals unless i skipped over it and didn’t know if it was ok to do. I got the coupons from this weeks redplum insert. Thank you for your time.

    • K

As long as the coupon matches the product you are buying, you can use 1 manufacturer coupon for each item, even if it’s bogo 50% off. So you can use 2 coupons per bogo offer. HTH 🙂

If anyone decides to sign up for ibotta, I’d appreciate you using my link! TIA…

  31. Sarah

I bought Walgreens diapers today buy one for $4.49 get one half off which is $2.25. $3.30 each is an awesome price with no coupons and their diapers are great!

  32. 603kmom

Collin, Can you please help me with the print icon….I can’t find it to the right of the post like you mentioned up top. Am I missing it?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmmm… do you not see a printer icon right above the Facebook “like” button?

  33. Carissa

On the Colgate toothpaste, I thought Wags stop the RR? Is it still printing RR? I’m confused. Help!

    • Matt

They are still doing RR’s, but very few of them. That’s mostly all I shop for because the point program just isn’t worth it for me since you have to spend so much to get so little back.

  34. Cindy

Thanks Collin for all that you do here for us. It really helps. I too am VERY disappointed in Walgreens. This is the 3rd major change they have had to their savings programs and each time it gets harder to get more for your money. I loved the rebate booklet program. I used my $$’s to get Walgreens gift cards and then bought other store gift cards for Christmas gifts. They took that away. Then came the RR. These were so complicated with all the # of products and # of coupons, so we learned to use fillers. Now the balance rewards just are NOT worth it. I did not see anything this week I would make a trip there to get. I have 7500 points now and nothing worth using them on. Does anyone know if you can use the points to purchase gift cards. I was hoping you could use them this way, but I have not read the brochure. I just signed up online. 1500 points equals $1.50 and for what you have to spend it just doesn’t seem like good deals. They are losing business on this. Let’s hope it doesn’t take until next spring for them to figure it out!

  35. Dee

I don’t think the snuggle facebook coupon is on their site anymore. The customer service people who post say that it should be with their special offer tab next to their photo’s tab, but that has now been replaced by a buy a snuggle bear tab. I couldn’t find the special offer tab anywhere. Anyone else know any different in the last bit? It’s 1:40 p.m. Pacific time on Monday, Oct. 22 here.

  36. Jordan

There is also a great deal on the Simply Lemonade and Simply Orange juices. There is an in ad coupon that makes the $1.99 each and then the iBotta app gives you back $.75 for each one. $1.25 for each of those is an AWESOME deal! They’re normally almost $4 each!

  37. Cheryl

Can someone please clarify if the balance rewards for spending a certain amount are before or after walgreens coupons? Statements above say that it is AFTER walgreens coupons, but in the Pepsi / Mountain Dew scenario in Collin’s list that’s not the case.

Spend $15 on Participating Frito-Lay or Pepsi Products = 1,500 Balance Rewards Points

    Deal Scenario:
    Buy 3 12-Pack Pepsi products 2/$9 = $13.50
Buy 1 12-pack Mountain Dew (also a Pepsi product) $4.50
    Total = $18
Use the FREE Mountain Dew 12 pk coupon found in ad (coupon valid with purchase of 2 Pepsi 12-pack Products)
    Pay $13.50 for 4 12-packs, $3.38 per 12-pack + score 1,500 Balance Rewards points!

    • mel

I had soo much trouble with this deal when I attempted it the other day. First off, the Mt Dew rang up the sale price of $3.64. The total for the 4 12-pks before in-ad cpn was $14.56, So I grabbed another 12-pk of Pepsi, making the subtotal $18.20 less the in-ad cpn for Mt Dew, dropped back down to $14.56. Paid, and Didn’t get the points. Cashier called the manager who suggested voiding the transaction and grabbing a bag of Frito Lay chips, but nothing was tagged, so neither he nor I knew what was included and I certainly didn’t feel like testing out a bunch of products. The manager decided instead of voiding, to just load the 1500 pts to my card.

      • Cheryl

Thanks, Mel! Based on what you found it looks like it is indeed after WAGS coupons since your subtotal was $14.56 after the free Dew. I plan on testing it today. Thanks again!

  38. Rebekah

the Revlon hair color deal is only for the Luminista. The picture shows the Luminista, but the coupon wording is misleading. They would not honor it for the other, and Luminista doesn’t come in my color. Oh well… still a good deal

  39. Marissa

I bought a bunch of diapers this week. Even better deal then last week with the 20% off coupon. Last week it was 2 packs for 7.19 and the week it’s 2 packs for 6.73!
Te tag says “buy one at 4.49 get one 50% off”
We don’t have any peelies here but if you have them st your stores you could get 2 packs for under 5$!!!
I went to 3 stores to test it out before posting. They are in 3 citie and they all had the same sale!!

  40. Amanda

Bummer, the Scott’s coupon must be regional. I didn’t get it!
