I think the coupons vary by region. Here in Texas, I got a $5/1 coupon in my RP insert, making them FREE!

    • Kelly

I got the $5 coupon in the RP as well. I’m also in TX. I got my protein powder totally free, plus of course 1/4 of my Bag Tag has been fulfilled. So technically I’m up $0.25, that, and of course the $18.00 protein powder.

  2. Tomoko

I just went to get one. sadly the shelf was completely empty 🙁

    • Bri

I always mix the “blah” vanilla protein powders with ice and diet cranberry juice (usually the 5 calorie version) so it totally knocks out the chalky flavor of the protein powder. Or you can make protein pancakes out of it, since they taste much better once they’re cooked. I’ve also made protein cookies out of them. 🙂

      • Jean

How do you make protein cookies? Could you share a recipe?

        • Bri

There’s a website called proteinpow.com. There are TONS of recipes on how to make protein pizza crust, cookies, bread, cakes, truffles, etc. I usually just take a normal cookie recipe and replace the flour component with almost the amount of protein powder, and then add a few tablespoons of actual flour or whole wheat flour to give it a cookie consistency.

      raincheck!
usually the on sale items get restocked in the middle of the week. good luck

I got the same $5 coupon from the magic machine on Sunday, but didn’t have any more of the insert q’s (used them on the deal a few wks ago) Glad to see there’s an IP so I’ll grab another container while its super cheap. And, this stuff isn’t all that bad if you make a smoothie out of it. I tried it mixed with just milk and it was very chalky! But blended with a half frozen banana and it was much better!

    • michelle

I did that last night and yep very blah. I am gonna try a smoothie/shake

  4. HaydenRossi

I did! I took vitamins up front with me just in case the $5 didn’t work on the shake mix, but it did. Wahoo!!

  5. michelle

the 10/7 had a $5.00 coupon but it expires today so free

  6. Mary

I got two free yesterday. Had two $5 coupons from the coupon machine and two $5 coupons from the 10/7 red plum. Great deal!

  7. Stacie

Couponnetwork has the $4 Optimal coupon. I was able to print twice.

  8. Carol

I was able to pick up the Vitamins for only .99 cents after the $5 CVS Coupon and the $4.00 coupon from 10/7 last night!

    • Tomoko

Could you tell me which Vitamins you can get with the $5 CVS coupon? I tried to buy a Natures Bounty optical solution Hair Skin & Nails with the CVS $5 coupon and $4 manufacturer coupon but cashier gave me back the CVS coupon because their register wouldn’t take it.

      • roxy

Tomoko, this is weird. I tried to buy the shake and the CVS coupon beeped, so I tried it on hair & nails and it worked for me

        • Tomoko

I think I know why it didn’t work. The one I grabbed was very similar ( almost identical ) except the box didn’t have “Optimal solution” on it. I went to 2 different CVS and both store put this product on the “Optimal solution Hair, Skin & Nail” shelf space and also rang up for $9.99. But it was not Optimal solution. Very tricky 🙁

  9. Nana

I went to our CVS the coupon machine didn’t print out the $5 CVS coupon. ><"

    • michelle

Did you try your card 2 times? It printed when I scanned card a 2nd time.

  10. kate

Keep scanning every day. I have gotten them every day this week. Even if you don’t need them, this is a very good donation item

  11. ann

I never get these coupons you mention from the CVS machine. I just went and tried. My Dr told me to buy a protein powder, so this would’ve been great. Is there a trick to getting these coupons? I always get one for maybeline, which is something I never buy or use.

    • Brenda B

I never get these coupons either, I went to cvs tonight and got a cottenelle, cover girl and salma hayeck lipstick coupons..

  12. edy

I got yesterday the 4/10 cpn red machine vitamins and the $5 of optimal solutions vitamis red machine cpn got the shake with 5 dlr mafct cpn and the other eye and nails vitamin with 4mft cpn total for both 1.98 this cpn is printing everyday

  13. cpull16

I had to scan my card a couple of times before the coupon came out. But, I was able to get the deal for $0.99

    Thanks for the heads up!

None of my CVS around here in Southern NH has the shake. I wanted to buy the shake but used it on the nail, hair, and skin vitamins instead. I purchased 4 from CVS so far and has given one to my sister. I’ll like to note that there’s 150 pills in the bottle but each serving is 3x/day!!! :/

  15. sue

Thanks for sharing. I received the coupon but had ignored it. I see that the protein shake is fine for vegetarians so I’m going to give it a try.

  16. Emily

Thank you. I saw this and went to one CVS and their machine was down. If they had chocolate, we would have bought it with the manuf. coupon. My boyfriend is nearly out of powder and likes chocolate. We drove to another and their machine was acting up so they shut it off. While getting the chocolate one the man turned the machine on and we were able to get the coupon and get the powder for free with the $5 coupon that expires today. Do you know if they will give me another coupon tomorrow?

    • roxy

I think it’s printing every day this week. The machine was down at my store too, so I missed today’s coupons 🙁

      • Emily

Thanks, I appreciate the answer! I didn’t know if they stopped printing if you’ve used them.

  17. roxy

I tried to buy the shake on Sunday and the CVS coupon beeped, so the cashier thought it won’t work, because it is a shake and not vitamins…

So I went back today and bought 2 boxes of nail & hair vitamins (300 caplets), so I have 3 months worth of vitamins and only paid $1.98 after both coupons. I think it’s a great deal. I’ve taken similar vitamins in the past and they seem to work.

  18. Lina

Cvs in OC California only spat out a $3 off vitamins coupon instead of $5 🙁

  19. Denise

So even though the red machine coupon says Vitamins, it still works on the Protein Powder?

  20. edy

Yes! The protein powder its by nature made its vitamins the cpn printed last week too but they are priced high! And now that there on sale for 9.99 great deal! My store only had 3 yesterday even it it was truck date! I’m planning on getting rain checks the vitamins for 9.99 and with a 4/20 cvs red machine cpn for vitamins it will work for cheaper price. Walgreens has them for 16dlrs to 18dlrs and the cpns are printing everyday at cvs red machine.. A 4/10 on vitamins or a 5 of optimal solutions by nature made at 9.99

  21. ruth marcavage

Thanks so much, I got mine for the 99 cents and bought 4 of them since I have 4 cvs cards because of family sharing the extra cards I can get more ….
