    SLOW…. 🙂

Lol, true. Also, this is one of those sites where you need to create an account in order to browse through the products. Too time consuming, I need to see the products first before I create an account. When I create an account, that means I am going to make a purchase.

Oh, I love this idea, especially for a kid heading off to college! Unfortunately, I don’t want to spend $60 to have one made for each of my kids… Maybe I’ll look into making quilts with some photos using photo transfer paper…

    • Liza

As a college student myself, probably not a good idea. This will not be cool in the dorm.

If done right it I’m sure could be a wonderful gift… But at the moment I’m picturing a traditional block quilt with old family portraits, including the one of that middle school hair style she’d rather forget. Why not get a regular fleece blanket instead and a new, nice big flash drive an put a folder of pics on it. S/he could scroll through the pics when she’s feeling homesick or set them as her laptop screen saver and I’m sure the flash drive will come in handy for school.

Walmart.com has the 50 x 60 for $39 b1g1 free, with $0.97 shipping. Better deal if you need 2, this one is bigger. 🙂

    • K

Hey, on this Walmart deal, do you put that the qty ordered is 1, and they will ship you 2 of the same blanket? or do you have to put the qty as 2?

    • Michelle

Is the b1g1 free still available. Not sure if I’m not finding the coupon for that or if it is just already over with. Also….on the York one…can you create one with more than 10 photos? Any idea how?
      Thanks!!

Although the Walmart one is bigger and a little cheaper, you don’t have near as many options as you do on the York site. You can’t move photos where you want them and make them whatever size you want them on walmart.com but you can on York. I ordered two off the York site – one for my parents and one for my in-laws. Perfect for Christmas! I got two customized blankets for $47.99 shipped! Thanks Colin!

Good to know, thanks! I was waiting til nap time to try! 🙂

Disappointed in the one I received. It was thin and very light. There is NO WAY I would of paid anymore than $20 for this blanket.

    • Sherri

I agree, the one I received is also very thin and cheply made. Feels more like a beach towel than a blanket. I am very disappointed in it, even for $20. I won’t be using York any longer because of this misleading representation of a blanket.

      • Kristin

Thank you for these posts, I also made a blanket through York because a blog had talked about what a great deal it was. I got the blanket 2 days ago and I was so excited to see it. Well needless to say it was very disappointing, had I known how cheap it would feel and how small it is I NEVER would have ordered it. Very misleading product. It kind of reminds me of those cheap Christmas skirts made of felt.

I believe that is how all the fleece blankets are. Thin. I received mine from Snapfish and was not impressed with the quality. I had ordered the super plush thinking it would be a little better quality. I was not impressed. Next time I will order the woven blanket. I seen some at SAMs Club and they were nice quality.
