  2. Barb

well target was on my list for wednesday but i think i will be going tomorrow before all the placemats are gone. lol. thanks.

  3. Aly

Hmmm, ok, but what could you do with ONE placemat? Any ideas?

    • MalibuBeachBum

I’ll use it as a holiday mat for feeding my cat. It’ll look cute with his red food and water bowls.

      • chrissy

ok thanks I love this idea

    • Amy

I don’t know how thick these placemats are but you could make a really cute bag with them. Just fold it in half and sew up the two sides. Flip it right side out and sew on some ribbon handles.

    • rachelle G

I printed out two coupons and target is right be by works so i plan on making two trips. this will be perfect for me and my hubby

    • mary g.

you can search pinterest for “placemat crafts” – i found a cute clothespin holder and an adorable clutch. HTH!

    • joannge

You could open one seam and stuff it with pillow stuffing then you have a holiday pillow!

  4. Molly O.

Thank you! I hope they have some at my store. 🙂

  5. Karissa

how many coupons can be used at one time?

    • Susie

      one

      • May

Only 1 coupon…really?? This is the reason why I stopped to shop there.
Save more gas… I think they want customers to shop everyday so maybe customers will buy something other than coupon items.

        • mar

It’s four and it is on their coupon policy whether it is manuf. or Target. The way I know is because I know the supervisors at my local Target and they informed me, since Im always shopping their sales with coupons. I have never tried going over but it is definitely four coupons of the same kind per transaction. Im most certain of it. I partically live there :0

          • Kristy

Yes, it is 4. The coupon says 1 offer per guest, but I personally know that their computers only allow 4 per transaction, because the computer states that the maximum number of that coupon has been used.(This is newer). It depends on your cashier/store though.

    • Elizabeth

      4. Unless they changed the rules AGAIN!

      • Christina

        Only 1, it is a target Q

    • Linda H

Target coupons actually state one per transaction. Some cashiers don’t pay attention to this and let two slide but I stopped trying after they pointed it out to me so as to not abuse the system.

      • mar

Its use one coupon per transaction 😉

    • chrissy

at my target they let you use 4 like coupons per order and I messed up and tryied 5 and the machine beeps, so 4 at a time is fine

      • Chocolady

3 of us went to target today, so I purchased 3 using 3 coupons (in 1 transaction) and it went fine. I know from a previous visit there that they won’t take more than 4 of the same coupons.

  6. saira

my computer is low on ink and printed it and barcode didnt came full will it scan ?

    • rachelle G

this happened to me before and yes it worked.. worth a try right?

    • Sally

Target cashiers can push it through. Just explain what happened

  7. Suzy

I was also wondering what to do with one placemat lol

    • mar

Center piece with a nice candle like one person said. I usually use it to place a bowl or hot stuff on the table and use the mat. But honestly you can do 4 placemats.

  8. Jill

I put candles (inside glass votives) on placemats. Thanks!

  9. Shanna

Excited to get something to decorate mt house for the holidays on the cheap!

  10. Tina

My store was out by 4 pm today. Good luck to everyone else!

  11. Casey Gwynn Parker

I wonder if you can cook up a deal with the 5 off of 20 coupon for the holiday linen purchase with these and two computers….humm

  12. Liz

Threshold Holiday Cloth Napkin on sale this week for $3.19, so with the $3 off coupon, you only pay $0.19.

  13. Tiffany T

So I was going to print it twice and just pay for the other two. However, the first time around it said thanks for printing and I didn’t even get a coupon (printer was on, everything was ready to go). Second time around, it printed.. but I’m still bummed 🙁

  14. rosana

think i am going to Target right now, havent been there for a while & hope i can find some placemats and the international delight.

what happen to me was funny, trying to save paper cut the paper in half and it only printed half of the coupon. oh well i got 3 coupons will wait till husband get the new computer ready to print.

    • mindy

or when the coupon prints at the bottom of the paper and I tried to recycle the paper, LOL

  15. Jeni

Some of the Target coupons have been printing with “limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day” and others with “limit one coupon or offer per guest”. Seems to depend on the TQ’a that print.

    • mar

My doesn’t state a limit but my Target is cool anyways about qty’s.

  16. flomom

I can’t find it — must be all out.

    • Alexcia

Q is there under Home & Decor, got my set of 2 napkins for .21 with tax then sent hubs thru the line with another Q so we have a set of 4 for .42 cents. Yay!

  17. Sandra

I also stopped shopping at Target for the most part because of their 1 store coupon rule. Not worth the trip to pick up one item.

  18. Jill

I have definitely used more than one store coupon at a time in the past… either way, great deal! Thanks!

  19. Heidi@TheMerryMagpieVintage

If you have a placemat that is a double thickness (2 pieces of fabric sewn together, rather than just one piece that is hemmed on the edges) you can carefully open one seam and stuff it full of batting. Sew the seam back together over the original stitching and you have a cute throw pillow!

    • Adrian

🙂 I just posted the same idea. I should have read through all of the comments! I can’t believe how expensive decor pillows are. This idea has saved me tons this year! I changed out our spring, summer and fall pillows by doing this and just made three more for Christmas! All for the price of what one pillow can cost! 🙂

  20. Cara

All the people wondering what to do with one placemat — they make a nice centerpiece under a vase or something.
OR you could buy more and just be happy that one was free if you need placemats;)

  21. Adrian

Someone might have already said this, but I make placemats into pillows! If the placemat has a full backside, you can cut it open on one side, fill with Polyfil and then sew it back up. Instant FREE Christmas pillow! You can google “turning a placemat into a pillow” for better instructions. I have made three already this year! Looks like I will be able to add one more to the mix! Thanks Collin!

  22. bali

thanks, printed 2 for me. They don’t enforce any coupon limits at my Target, so yay!

  23. Kim

I need some help I can not seem to be able to print coupons from Target.com or Smartsource. I have installed the coupon thing associated with both several times, but it still doesn’t print. Any ideas?

    • mar

I had problems similar to you with E internet. Try installing on firefox or chrome. and make sure when you are through installing that you restart your computer.

  24. ann marie

Thanks again for an awesome post Colin, I’m going to my Target tommorow night to get these, hope they still have some in stock!

  25. Niki Johnson

Printed 2 from home and 2 from moms computer. Brought the hubby & kiddo’s being that the coupons state one per guest. So, we got a set of 4, all FREE. 🙂
    Thanks for posting!

  26. mAHESH

Can anyone post the link of that coupon I mean printed and u have that in the form of pdf ?

  27. blyane

    Is it gone??

    • blyane

Oops never mind, found it 🙂

  28. Deb

I printed four-two computers. The coupon beeped-the cashier pushed all four through. Good cashier!! Had to pay Mass tax .$81.

  29. mar

    Good job Deb :0

  30. Amy

Great deal!! I did this and the first store only let me buy one… the next store didn’t even see the ‘per guest’ portion and rang it right up. (Target is usually very lax with their coupons) Yay! FREE! 😀

  31. Lisa Allis

I got one! My Target didn’t have anymore of the $3 placemats. So I got one for $.19. I’m using it for my cats under their water and food bowl. Thank you!

  32. Leigh

My target had the $3.25 placemats, so I bought 6 for myself and 4 for a gift…took 10 identical (printed once, them xeroxed) coupons and 3 transactions (the limit was 4 per transaction) ended up being $.27/each after tax. My cashier was awesome. I printed out 12 coupons for myself and gave her my remaining two.

    • mander08

Making copies of coupons is illegal. This is the reason it is becoming harder and harder for people that coupon the correct way to coupon.

    • Rebekah Wright

holy smokes! Don’t do that again – it’s coupon fraud and you can be prosecuted. I’m just assuming you didn’t know any better, because you wouldn’t have admitted it on this forum if you did. Just be careful, because I think they can get your computer IP address and trace you.

  33. Diana

I only have 1 computer so was able to print this Q twice. Went and got my 2 free placemats. When I got home and was taking things out of my bag I found the 2 coupons inside…the cashier gave them back. Or should I say “the target fairy” gave them back 🙂

  34. Cat

my Target was out of these almost immediately. Thank goodness they have started enforcing the 4 coupons per person thing but the shelves still get cleared on things that are totally free, most of the time.

  35. teresa

Their coupon now states that placemats and napkins are not part of the deal.
If anyone has any coupon they did not use and would like to share, please email me at llilly427@yahoo.ca Hope on getting a few on Friday. THANK YOU!

  36. Becky

Has anyone had trouble getting the placemats for free??? I was told that the $3 price was for ONLY the 3 that are pictured and the rest of them were selling for $3.19. I then asked the store manager for clarification because I took the verbage to mean that ALL placemats regularly priced at $3.99 were on sale for $3 and she told me that Target corporate issued an “urgent notification” saying that the prices were not supposed to be $3 and that there was a typo in the printing. I’m calling BS on that!! Anyone else have any issues??? I’m so frustrated with Target and the crappy customer service…any suggestions on how I can handle this????

    • Jen

I bought them and only the ones pictured in the ad are $3. Other holiday placemats are $3.19.

    • Lieca

Today I had problems…first at the register that they would not honor the coupon with the placemats. Literally arguing with the cashier head. Asked to speak to manager and then it was OK to use the coupon. Then talked to her about the price not coming up $3 as the ad states. She told me that the price $3 is only the pictured items. I literally looked at her and said excuse me the one pictured is red and I bought green…same design and you are telling me that it is only the three pictured placemats….really. I came home and called corporate. I normally do not get upset, but let me state this there are EDUCATED people willing to work (me being one) and cannot get hired and they hire these inadequate workers…done venting….back to happy, happy, joy, joy!

  37. Katie

Just printed this and the coupon now says it excludes placemats & napkins 🙁

    • jessica

Yup, coupon now says “excludes napkins & placemats” ….y do they do that?!???!!

  38. Rebekah Wright

I was able to print 6 of these earlier on, and pick up a matching set. Today I printed two more, the coupon now states it’s not good on placemats or napkins. Bummer. I was worried, because it made me look like (and wonder if) I was trying to trick them! But I was innocent – just embarrassed. Glad I got the 6 though. I guess Target didn’t like giving them away!
