It was $20 last year. Quite a shock this morning to find it is now $30.

    • ka

Krystal is it just regular coffee or can u get anything, like could u get an expresso drink for free the month of January? Thanks for any info 🙂

      • Caroline

Just brewed coffee. If you want flavor shots or anything extra, you pay for it.

    • kelly

I remember this deal was $20 last year and I was all over it! $30 this year is no bargain. You’re better off just buying a tumbler and a $20 starbucks gift card that they can use all year long.

I got excited about the promo until i saw the tumbler for $30! Yikes. I was thinking $10-$15 should be a decent price for a tumbler… but i guess you’re pre-paying for the coffee too!

    • Sara

I agree. It seems that they are trying to package the “deal” by building the cost into the tumbler. I can’t imagine many people going every day in January for coffee. And if they are stating the value is $70, then I’m guessing it’s just regular coffee.

      • Chelsie

I drink a tall cup at least twice a day Monday -Friday and once a day on the weekends. At $1.65 a cup for 31 days that would come out to $51.15. Plus a tumbler AND you get a discount when you bring your own mug. If you’re a coffee drinker it’s DEFINITELY a deal.

    😮

  4. kelly

Can you buy this tumbler in the store or only online?

    • MCGB

      In store has it too!

  5. Ann

I am not happy :), but oh well, cheers to those who need to buy it as a gift anyways!

    • Ann

      Oooops! 🙁

  6. Dora

They told me last yr a few ppl tried to return the tumbler after the month long free coffee.. $30 isn’t a deal for me .. pass

  7. MCGB

Yeah, when it was $20 last year, it was a deal.
    This year a 50% markup…

I still got one, because I had fun stopping by with my sister who also had a tumbler for free coffee.

Essentially, as said above, you’re pre-paying for coffee that some people may have bought anyways (if you drink Starbucks every morning)

  8. Elena

I am excited for tomorrows deal! So I can go tot he actual store and pick up the deal tomorrow?

  9. couponsforc

I got an email from starbucks today saying that if you buy any 3 tazo or starbucks at grocery store and get $5 giftcard. Some of you might already know about this promo.

  10. Sara

If it is your first time ordering from starbucks.com, then you can use the code STNPWEKD and you will save an extra 10%.

IMHO, this is probably the worst deal of Startbucks’ Christmas promotion – even when they had it last year for $20…. the plastic 16oz tumbler which goes on sale eventually for $4 (which you can also find on eBay for about the range of that more or less) with brewed coffee – which isn’t Starbucks’ best selling/tasty item. I’d suggest just get a bag of Starbucks coffee from Walmart for only $6.xx and if you have coupons you get it even cheaper. Even better, you can buy Holiday themed Gift Set at Walmart.com (https://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?ic=32_0&tab_value=all&search_query=starbucks&search_constraint=0&Find=Find&pref_store=4520&ss=false&amp😉 starting at $5.

Red 16 oz stainless travel tumbler $9.95 instore and probably other colors too, but stainless tumblers are $9.95 (half off their normal price of $19.95) today at starbucks online store use shopathome.com to get 7% cashback. Not much of a selection left but I see the travel press is also marked to $9.95.
