JCPenney: Share the Deals You’ve Scored Using Coupons Won With Holiday Buttons
As I’ve mentioned previously, JCPenney is giving out Christmas buttons (pins) in stores with or without a purchase – just ask a cashier. One out of four score $5 or $10 off any purchase of that amount or higher. After you get a button, go to JCPenney.com and click on the button post to the right side and enter the 7-digit code on the back of the button. You can enter 2 codes per e-mail address per day.
I’ve been getting many emails from readers regarding the bargains they’ve been able to snag with the Christmas Button coupons. Reader Gray let me know of a few items she spotted that would be free or super cheap after the coupons, including a Disney Jake & the Neverland Pirates plush toy on clearance for $5, a sword for $10, an $11 shower curtain, an $8 Lalaloopsy giant coloring/decorating pad, a $10 Lalaloopsy littles doll, and $11 kids pajamas.

I am loving this promotion too! Multiple $10 certs, and I did win a $50 gift card! (Which is great because you can use the gift card for any overage from the certificates!) This has allowed me to get MANY great gifts for my family and also provided for eleven children I shopped for who were on the angel tree this year. I have found a lot of very cute blouses for under $10 on clearance, and also would like to point out that some locations have gift wrap bows ($1-$2 each) and gift tags for $2 each if you need filler items. I go every day after work to get buttons, and some friends are picking them up for me as well. LOVE IT! Thank you JCP!

Here’s a tip….go to more than one register to ask for buttons. The wording is you can ENTER 2 buttons per day, not RECEIVE 🙂 I always ask nicely, with a smile on my face and make sure and thank them. No one has been grumpy or said no. Quite the opposite actually…some even give out 5-10 @ a time. I hope this helps!

I brought some homemade goodies to the workers there today since they can’t partake and they gave me a couple HANDFULS of buttons! They are so nice!

I won a $10 off $10 purchase out of 12 buttons. But the lady in the store had given me a whole handful and said Merry Christmas! It made my day! I love JcPenney! I’m going shopping tomorrow and plan to get some more!

I work at the mall. I just went to JCPenny asked for buttons te guy gave me 10. Then tries to flirt with me told me not to tell anyone that he gave me so many lol. Thanks for the buttons old man but I am taken.

They have remote control trucks on clearance for $8 and fuzzy gloves for $3. I got 4 of each with my buttons (I won’t 4 $10 certificates). I donated all 8 items for only $4 out f pocket. I LOVE being able to donate with limited funds!!!
I won 7/$10.00 and 1/5.00 I was able to score 7 shirts, and gave a 10.00 certificate to a nice older lady behind me in line buying a pair of slippers ….:) she was so happy!

My JCPenney’s is out of buttons 🙁
We are out at the store in Jackson, TN too.
My mother works there and you can go to each register and ask for buttons. They are only supposed to give out 2 to each person per register. Some are running out so they may only give one. It changes each day. You also can enter more then 2 per household. It States 2 per valid email. I do my husbands account too. I found that they have memory foam slippers for men $6, leggings for $8, $10, turtle neck $5, toys $10 and under, Ghirardelli starting at $3, Hello Kitty assortment of bags, purses, and stocking stuffers, towels from $3 to $7. I mixed and matched to get exact or closed to amount and didn’t have to pay tax or very little amount.
One of the cashiers here said that if they are like amounts (like all $10 off of $10) the register will let them stack them together!
Between my husband and myself we have won about $125 in certificates. We have gotten a few small stocking stuffer and donation gifts but my best score was a pair of XL tall Nike sweats for my husband. Only spending $10 out of pocket. I’ve been searching for and looking for a reasonable price on those pants for over a year. Usually retail about $85.
I collected about 50 buttons with my family this week, and have had crazy problems on their site. It keeps erroring and I don’t get the e-mails. I have only won two $5 out of 50 buttons! It seems like the site has errors by the comments on the facebook page. Anyone else having issues?
yes, sometimes it tells me to check code, that what I entered is invalid (Im definitely typing in the right code)…I have at least 5 buttons that I’ve tried numerous times and it will not take them. Oh well, I’ve won a lot so I’m not complaining!
I have gotten several with codes that automatically say not a winnier. I think someone may have put in a wrong code somewhere down the line and it was registered already. I continue to put in a different one until it says they will send email. If you put more then 2 in, then one didn’t go through. It will tell you that you have already reached your limit of 2 for the day. Hope that helps.
Between the members of my family (hubby, kids) we have won over $400 in gift certificates! holy heck! We have been doing 2 per email per day since the start. I have 8 friends…that’s right EIGHT due with babies in the spring, so I am stocked up on baby gifts!

My husband won 2 $10 certs when Christmas shopping for me. 🙂 I really wanted something nice to wear to a Christmas party this Saturday but money is tight with buying gifts for everyone. I was able to get a cute top for the party for $2 after using the cert!

I am LOVING this promo!!! I have won 1 $50 gift card, 6 $10 certs and 2 $5 certs! I have gotten Hello Kitty pjs for my teen, Keurig K-cups, Hickory Farms gift set, Monster High doll, Barbie folding house carrier and some baby toys and bibs for a shower next year! I still have $20+ on gift card and $20 in certs to spend. I did spend about $14 OOP though instead of using up the rest of my card. FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T WON-DON’T GIVE UP! I have entered about 40 buttons to get my 9 winners and the prizes with the highest odds of winning according to JCP are the $5 and $10 certs and the odds are 1 in 8 buttons will win.

The certificates say that they cannot be used together but some posters on here have had luck so YMMV. Don’t forget the certificates expire Dec 31 and can only be used in store.

Our store let us combine the $10 with the $10 and the $5 with the $5, although my coworker said she was able to combine all of hers at the same store. I personally think it’s who you get as a cashier.

I have been having great luck with the buttons. Besides stocking up on clothes for our foster baby (for free!) we have got jeans, pj’s, socks, a wallet, earrings, etc.
Most of you may not know that you can use these certificates in the salon as well. I don’t know if they apply towards services but you can use them on hair and nail products. OPI nail polishes are normally $8 each but if you buy 2 they are $6 each. With a $10 certificate you can get them for a dollar each. A steal for top of the line polish.

No, it’s the OPI at the hair salon. Not all JCP’s have salons. Hope this helps.
Out of 5 buttons, I’ve won 2 – $10 certificates and 1 – $5 certificate. These made super cheap Christmas gifts from JCP, especially with their great prices.

After reading all the cool finds everyone has got with the JCP button certificates, I thought I would share with you how my daughter and I re-purposed the buttons into a fun little stocking stuffers. First we took the pin part off the back and squished down the ends with needle nose pliers. Then apply magnets with strong glue (we used E6000 from the craft store). They are perfectly packaged in mint tins, such as Altoid boxes, because they stay put.

Even without the buttons, I find their prices to be really fair. The clearance deals have been fantastic and when paired with these button certificates, it makes for a lot of cheap/free stuff. I think JCP has been very generous with this promotion and I’ll continue to shop at JCP throughout the year just to thank them for how happy they’ve made me this holiday season!
I have won several $10’s, several $5’s, and one $25 e-gift card
I have purchased mens pj bottoms ($6.00, so I pd $1.00 and tax), a beautiful Pashmina scarf – FREE, Great Discover Kids Tent Kit on clearance for $14, so I paid $4! I saw the same one at Barnes and Noble for $68!!!!
I used my $25 E gift card, a $10 button certificate and 2 JCP Rewards certificates from last months bedding purchases, and was able to score a beautiful Ruby Bracelet for $35.00 (instead of nearly $100!), and they let me use the 20% off coupon FIRST!!! Quite a splurge,, but it’s a gift and not for ME,,, 🙂 although I was tempted to keep it!
I also found a great new hoodie for myself on the clearance rack for $17.00, so I pd $7.00 and change, and it was originally marked nearly 70!
Oh, and sports bras on the clearance rack,, $2.00 each. I go every day and get my two buttons and enter them,, some days they offer extras and save me a trip, but I don’t mind,, it’s close to my house,,, since I just lost my job, this has been a great way to do a little extra this year, but still be careful… Thanks JCP!
We won 5 $10 certificates, I let each of my 3 children pick an item, which is a real treat for them, anything they wanted for $15. One son got a watch, the other a Nike shirt (on sale), daughter is a smart shopper..she hit the clearance and got 2 shirts and yoga pants. The next time won 3 10’s and a 5. I bought them all new socks and undies with it, necessities for free, and new pillows for the hubby and I. Great deal on undies and socks, all were on sale or clearance.
Did five today with my bf and none where winners 🙁 maybe tomorrow!!

We purchased my son’s entire outfit for his winter formal-dress pants, matching vest, dress shirt and a bowtie- for only $10.88 after our $90 worth of $10 and $5 holiday certificates were applied. SUCH A BLESSING!!!!
Out of 8 buttons I’ve gotten a $5 and $10 gift certificate. Actually neither have arrived to my inbox yet. How long did it take for everyone’s to appear?
At my JCP I was excited because they had the buttons in buckets and said I could take some. I grabbed a handful as I live 30 minutes away!
They can take up to 48 hours. My last few came within 24 though.
I took my husband and kids with me to the store to use my coupons. I bought my son 2 pair of 2t jeans for free! When we got to the register we all got pins. My 4 year old daughter loved picking out her own (she loves to wear them to daycare) and the cashier got a kick out of it. We ended up with 16 that day.
between my daughter and i we have gotten (6) $10 and (8) $5. We have bought isotoner slipper boots $20-$6 (clearence discount)=$16-$10 certificate=$6 plus tax, and a Thunder Tumbler(radio contol car) was $15, marked down to $8 used $5 cert = $3 plus tax. I love JCP… Seems like everyone on my list is gonna get something from JCP this year… TY JCP…

We have scored numerous items for FREE or next to nothing. Received a $5 e-card to Starbuck’s (great for me.) Hubby also won a french press coffee maker. It is probably a code that they e-mail to you and you go to a website (they probably tell you this also) and after entering the code you will be able to print 2 tickets. These tickets can be used at most theaters especially the larger chains like AMC, Regal, Rave etc.
I live right next to the mall so I have been going every single day LOL so far all my buttons except one have been winners I have won over $250 in holiday certificates and just yesterday I won a $50 gift card which I used to buy new nike shoes yay! Getting ready to go get more buttons today 🙂

I bought a bunch of clearance shirts at one store the other day and payed cash knowing that my gift certificates wouldn’t be ready until later the next day. I didnt want to lose the great deal on the shirts so I bought them. I hope they don’t give me a problem returning and rebuying with my certs tomorrow!
The past two days have been all non winners or $5 Certificates for me. Anyone getting higher amounts lately? Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely NOT complaining! This is one of the best promotions I can ever remember! Just curious if all the larger amounts have been claimed.
