I’m a college student and would appreciate if you can help by using my referral link:
    https://www.thredup.com/478693

You’ll also get a $15 credit. Thank you!

  2. Vicki

funny, i was just coming on to this site to email Collin that there was FREE SHIPPING on Thredup today so if you’ve been saving up your referal credits…today’s a great day to get the most bang for you buck. However, that free s/h code doesnt’ work unless its your only coupon code. they changed it a while ago to only allow one code per transaction.

speaking of referrals…I’d really appreciate it if someone would use my code to sign up !

    thanks so much!

Not really pertinent to this but I had to share. Went to Target and found toys on clearance, sale items I needed that I had coupons for, and was able to use TWO of the spend $50 get a $10 gift card coupons, plus saved 5% with my Target card. So I got about $175 (regular price) stuff for $89 and got two gift cards, which brings the actual total down to $69. A lady in line congratulated me. LOL. Synchronicity got me good deals at the grocery store on exactly what I needed for a birthday party, things that almost never go on sale. Good times!

    • fran

      Good job, Maryann! 😉

      • Maryann

        Thanks!

  5. Nicole

I received an email today that for today only you can use code HOLIDAYSHIP for free shipping. Not sure if you can combine this with the $15 credit code but might be worth a try! Happy shopping!!

  6. Amy K

It’s actually more beneficial for new members to use the code HolidayShip today and take their free $10 credit and get free shipping!

  7. Kristen

It’s not working on my moms account today but I did this deal last night, managing to use the $15 on shipping as well! Got a free jacket and had $3 left in my credit. My moms a first grade teacher so it’s nice to have extra kids clothes in her classroom in case there is a kid who needs it! 🙂

    Hello,
If any one would sign under my referral link. I would really really be happy. I want to get some for my little girl for Christmas.

  9. krystalen

Not sure if referral codes work with this but here is mine. Feel free to use it. I think you and I will both get a $10.00 credit, but I’m not sure if it is credited after the order is placed 🙂

    https://www.thredup.com/r/QYL0P5

  10. krystalen

And the SHIPDEC12 code is good on 1st orders only until 12/31/12!

  11. Jessica

I do not see a way to enter two promo codes.

  12. Carol Sodapop

I’ve clicked on nearly every item and I keep getting “Darn, you just missed the item”. I guess they’ve sold out?

  13. Mo

I ordered yesterday, when you first sign up under a referral you get a $10 coupon code that is automatically entered into your order, you pay shipping. Then you can go back and order a second time and use the HOLIDAY15 for $15 off $15 but pay shipping. It would only let me use one code at a time. I had to look for where to put the codes in cause the space is on the left under the square order box and kind of small!

  14. Ana

Has anybody tried to send them their kids clothes? I’ve read mixed reviews online about that.

    • Elaine

I have and won’t again. There were some brand new items they didn’t credit me for.

    • superchelseald

i have sent 10 bags and have averaged $50 a bag- so I’d do it again.

    • MommySpendsLess

I sent in a bag full of my daughter’s clothing and I was pretty pleased with the experience. Their acceptance and rates were similar to Once Upon a Child (if you’re familiar with that franchise concept). I probably could have made more selling them on Craigslist or eBay and there were one or two items that I was surprised they didn’t buy but I was willing to give up a couple dollars for the convenience of not having to answer emails, worry about meeting people, shipping costs or even leaving my house (a huge perk for this working mommy).

I’m a deal seeker (hence why I’m on Hip2Save! 🙂 ) so my daughter’s clothes aren’t precious to me. I assume when I purchase something that she’s going to outgrow it quickly and there’s a good possiblity that she’ll stain or rip something in the process.

If you buy your child pricey name brands, counting on their resell value to make it worthwhile, or take rejection clothing personally, then selling to ThredUp isn’t for you. If, like me, you consider anything you earn from selling no-longer-needed things free money then you’ll probably have a positive experience.

You can go to their website and see what they’ve been paying to get a pretty good idea of what things may be worth. Their list of brands they don’t accept is growing, basically any “store” brands. They are picky about quality – not just obvious things like stains or rips but also more subtle signs of wear like general fading or piling at cuffs, etc.

I do wish they donated directly to Goodwill or another charity. I’m sure they receive many things that aren’t up to resale standards but are definitely nice enough that they’re worthy of more than being recycled. “Every item that thredUP cannot resell is entered into our 100% Re-Use Program, a partnership with national textile distributors and recyclers to ensure that every item is re-used and doesn’t end up in a landfill.”

      • Joy

I was surprised to see a lot of Basic Editions (Kmart brand), Op (Walmart brand) Cherokee and Mossimo (Target brands) on there under older boys clothes (sizes 8 and up). I thought they didn’t accept discount store stuff. I also see a lot of Arizona (JcP brand) under boys.

        • MommySpendsLess

To clarify, by store brands I meant the economy store brands. For example, I believe Circo is Target’s cheaper brand, even though there are also versions of Carter’s and Osh Kosh made just for Target and Cherokee may be their store brand as well. Walmart’s cheaper brand is Faded Glory but Op, while a Walmart brand tries to be trendier and more fashion forward.

I’ve noticed under their “what we buy” section, that they’ve been adding to the list of things they don’t accept. Since this is a relatively new format for this company, I imagine they are revising their policies based on what does and doesn’t sell well but they probably have some older stock left even if they aren’t buying that brand anymore.

          • sarah

Thanks for your helpful info on the company…Keep them coming; not sure if it’s something I want to do or not.

  15. Lori McK

I have had a $10.00 credit on thredUP for months now and never used it. Found 4 pairs of jeans for my almost 3 year old for a total of $15.96 and was going to use the free shipping code and pay $5.96 after my credit. Out of sure luck, I tried the HOLIDAY15 instead, and it used my $10 credit to pay for shipping. FOUR PAIRS OF JEANS FOR FREE! Love you, Colin! Thank you!

    • Vicki

NO FAIR!!! 🙂 I tried the same thing and it didnt work for me…oh well.

    • Dawn

I had $10 sitting on my account too from a later referral, so I was SO happy to get a couple nice shirts for my daughter with the free shipping code! 🙂

  20. Kelly

I signed up for this site quite a while ago and never used my $10 credit. Last night I used it with the $15 code and it also let me use my credit towards shipping. I got my younger dd a Hanna Andersson dress for free. Plus I still have a 3.xx credit in my account, how awesome!

    https://www.thredup.com/r/WISBS0

    • johan

its possible explain for me i tried to get the credit and free shipping and not working thanks

      • Rainy

If you click on my link or anyone else’s that are posted & sign up through that link you will be credited $10 in your account & the persons link you use will also get $10(so share your link when you sign up). Then you can pick out what you want & at checkout in the promo code area enter either holiday15($15 off) or holidayship(free shipping). The shipping runs around $7 so if you want to use the $10 & $15 you could get $18 worth of stuff completely free. Or $10 & free shipping. Hope this helps!! 🙂

        • Trish S.

I don’t get how that is possible?? There is no way to enter more than one code and the $10 for signing up through a referral link is counting as a promo code?!?!?!

  23. Pam

As usual, I am late to he party 😉 if anyone hasn’t ordered through a link yet, here is mine https://www.thredup.com/r/ZTO8PX Thank You

    • Pam

      *the

  24. Dawn

FYI, you ONLY get the $10 credit from someone using your link AFTER their order ships! Although, when they FIRST did this back in August, they gave me ALL the $10 credits right away AFTER they just signed up—-which was AWESOME because it was practically instantaneous and I could use it right away.

  25. Trish S.

i just signed up as a new member but i don’t see a $15 credit???????

    • Sherri

I think you have to enter the code HOLIDAY15 to get the $15 credit HTH! 🙂

      • Trish S.

That only took off $11.97 from the total…not $15???

        • Sherri

I’m so confused by their site since they redid it 🙁 But I don’t think that 15 credit can be used to pay shipping. was your total $11.97 before shipping??? I don’t know ….sorry 🙁

          • Rainy

The $15 code can NOT be used for shipping. If you have the $10 credit in your account for signing up through a reffural link then the $10 CAN be used towards shipping. So if you have both you can put $18 worth of stuff in your cart & check out without even entering in you card info. Hope this helps.

            • Trish S.

              Oh ok! Thanks!

            • Trish S.

I have a $10 credit in my account for signing up through a referal link but there is no way to add more than one code 🙁 Still showing I owe $10.99?? Oh well I tried 🙂

          • Trish S.

My total was $18 something before shipping?? So confused! lol

            • Rainy

When you get to the check out enter the code HOLIDAY15 for the $15 off. The $10 credit will come off during the checkout process also. You only need to enter the one code.

  26. Sherri

It’s probably too late but If anyone is still signing up I would be so happy if you would use my link! 🙂 https://www.thredup.com/r/CBOQ8H Thank you so very much!!! 🙂

    • Tia

      Hi,
