This heaters work great but only for a year or so. I used it in my living room which is not that big. Mine stopped working and melted in one side, so my husband open it and told me that the problem is that the heater doesnt have a filter, even thou it was originally designed to have a filter, they stopping putting one in, my 5 year old heater has a filter but this one doesn’t (you’ll see on the back of the heater there is actually a place where a filter could go, but manufacturer doesn’t put them in anymore). All the pollutants cause the heating element to clog and overheat causing the plastic case to melt.
They work great but don’t expect to work more than two seasons.
that’s good to know.. I wonder if the filter is something that could be bought separately online somewhere and put in? Hmmm
Thanks. I’ll pass. I appreciate your post Chi.
thanks. I will also pass due to your post. Appreciate it!
i agree with chi. mine only lasted for a few months and the fan isn’t working anymore and we purchased it at full price.
Thanks Chi, I would have jumped on this if I had not seen your post.
IMO DeLonghi is a crappy brand. We got 2-3 things for our wedding from that brand, and NONE of them worked properly. Chi’s post just seals the deal. I can’t believe they even still exist. :\
Seems to be out of stock, but based on the reviews and the above posts, glad I passed.
