Wow! In addition to heading on over to Target to check out the fantastic after Christmas clearance bargains I highlighted here and here, you may also want to be on the lookout for clearance Winter OREO cookies! Check out the email I received from reader, Danielle:

I was at Target today (again 🙂 ) and I found this great deal on the holiday Oreo cookies. I found mine in the regular aisle. They were ringing up at $0.89 but attached to some of them were $1 off 2 coupons. Making them $0.39 each after coupon!

So make sure to keep your eye peeled for these Winter OREO cookies in the regular cookie aisle. Even without the peelie coupon, at $0.89 this is still a fantastic price. Also, keep in mind that you’ll want to price check if these aren’t marked on clearance.

Check out your baking and pots and pans section. I scored a candy cane cake and for $2.99 and a large sheet cake pan for only $4.49!! Why they were 70% off? I guess bc they were supposed to be Christmas items and had decorative wrap on them !

  2. Sarah

I was just about to submit this deal! When I was at my Target this evening, they were located next to the regular Oreo’s and were not marked. I got five packages and the guy behind me in line was like, “you must really like Oreo’s!” but he understood once I told him how cheap they were!

P.S. The lady in front of me in line had a $1200 purchase! It was crazy! She didn’t have any big purchases either (like a TV, gaming system, or camera). She didn’t use a single coupon! (I have to say, though, I was kind of glad. Her purchase took forever to ring up).

    • Yoko

Wow! What did she buy to reach $1200…?

      • Sarah

Some of the stuff there wouldn’t have been coupons for (clearance bags, storage containers, etc.) but other stuff was toiletry/personal care items (toothpaste, tooth brushes, mouth wash, dental floss, laundry detergent, dish detergent, etc.), so I’m guessing she was shopping for a large number of people because there were multiples of a lot of things.

        • amy

          Maybe care packages?

          • Sarah

Possible, I guess. The oral care items seemed to be the only care package type stuff, but I could be wrong. I wasn’t paying attention for the entire first cart (she had two). It may have been stuff she wanted to donate to a shelter or something, too. Or she could be one of those people that gets all their supplies for a whole year all at one time. I wasn’t questioning her purchase at all, just amazed that it got to $1200!

    • Jessika <3

Sometimes (ok alot!) I wonder how people can afford to shop without coupons??? I cringe at the fact of paying full price! Everything has gotten outrageously priced these days. I would never pay 4$ for shampoo, with the right sale & coupon close to 1$ . Just blows my mind..

      • Craig

I was wondering the same thing when I was price checking candy! They had some Ghiradelli tin candy that was $9.99 for what was the amt equal to about a candy bar’s worth. REALLY?!!! Even @ its clearance price of $2.99 seem steep! What happened to .50c candy bars?

        • Sarah

I remember back in the day when Wal-Mart had candy bars 3 for $1 and you could get coca-cola brand cans from the coke machines outside for 35 cents or Wal-Mart brand for a quarter. Oh how times have changed!

          • Tilla Ham

it was only in the late 90’s and early 2000’s where coke was .35 cents outside of walmart now it’s 1.25…that is some huge inflation in 13 years

      • Sarah

Oh my gracious, I know! Some of the things she purchased wouldn’t have had coupons, but others definitely would have. I would definitely be struggling right now if it weren’t for coupons and sales. I am so grateful to Collin for her site (and to others for similar sites). I could never do manage to do it on my own anywhere near as cost-effectively as I do with their help.

        • Craig

THEY call it inflation, and a tiny bit of that is real inflation yes, but when we have $16,000,000,000.00 trillion in debt and growing w/o end, it has to be paid somehow and UP UP UP everything will go!

Sooo true! and I would not be here munching down a $3.99 candy bar I got from Target for .89c w/o this site!! Many, many thanks to Collin and other hipsters that make you think before you buy!

  3. Tracy

Target told me they do not price match online can someone help me understand this cause the policy online under corp says they do?

    • Jess

They do not price match if the item is out of stock. They were doing so only until Dec 16 th I was told so at my target last night.

  4. Lindsay S

At my target in Overland Park Kansas the betty crocker snickerdoodle cookie mixes were in the regular cookie isle and they were part of a special purchase deal, if you bought four cookie mixes you got a betty crocker frosting free. They were ringing up at .62 cents and I had four .40 cent off coupons and I got the frosting for free. I have no idea why the snickerdoodle cookies were on clearance because they weren’t even in holiday packaging, but it was a great deal since the sign said they were suppose to be 2.09.

  5. crzycpnldy

Also look for seasonal pringles- cinnamon & sugar and peppermint white chocolate. They were marked down to .45 per can at my local target (not marked, by the way, had to scan to get the price) use the $1/4 coupon from redplum a while back= .20 per can!!!

  6. Craig

Anybody know how long chocolate/candy last? I bought a bunch of the Ghiradelli candy thinking maybe for next year. It states a Best before date of 7/31/13 though. Which at the rate Im going on them myself, they might not make 1/03/13!!!

    • Jaime R.

I put mine in the freezer.

      • Nicole

that’s a good idea but fyi, freezing chocolate changes it’s composition and can make it tast different 🙂

    • Sarah

I gave my niece, nephews, and cousin’s kids chocolate bears and penguins I got on clearance. They gobbled them up like they were totally fine. I stored the candy in a cool dark closet, not in the freezer because in the freezer it can get spots on it. I think your candy should be just fine stored somewhere cool and dark.

      • Sarah

I meant to say “clearance last year”

        • Craig

          Thanks!

  7. Alisha

They were on the cookie aisle and not marked at my store! Bought 6 packs….full shelf because they weren’t marked! I also found Colgate Winter toothpaste on an endcap by the cookies, marked $2.99 but scanned $0.89! Also look out for Rachael Ray Bubble and Brown 2 piece set in Orange, marked $49.99 but scanned for $14.99 at my store in AL!!

  8. Charlotte Haines

What a great Plus your left with extra coupons to use on Easter Celarence cookies NICE!!!I pick up mine 10 pks but nocoupons on my pks…still very happy about .89

  9. kelly

I found 1 bag of Hot Cocoa flavored Goldfish for $.89. I wonder if anything will be left tomorrow. I haven’t seen 90% off yet.

    • DianeNC

90% off? I’m still waiting for 70% off (on the candy). My local Target stores still had them at 50% today (New Years Eve).

    • Destinee

I heard someone say that they’re not doing the 90% off anymore…not even on holiday stuff :-\

      • JayBee

They did 90% off on Halloween two months ago… I heard the Neiman Marcus stuff won’t be 70% off. All that designer collab stuff will get trashed.

        • Sarah

I looked at one of the dresses when I was in there this evening. It was a really pretty dress but with an original price of $100, there was no way I could afford it, even at half off! I think everyone else in my area felt pretty much the same because there were still lots of dresses in probably every size. I expect it’s the same in the large majority of stores.

  10. Tracy

Oh how I wish I had a Target near me. This has big one of my biggest pregnancy craving so far. I would snatch up so many to store away for late night cravings. :(. Oh well hope everyone else is enjoying some cheap and yummy Oreo’s

    • Jessika <3

Sorry you do not have a target Tracy =( but you do have the best comment…I would snatch up so many lol!! Gave me a mental image =) , well good luck in your pregnancy.

  11. lauren

My kids and I hit Targette today and scored crazy great thanks to Colin and all the great comments. Scored m&ms at. 24 a bag..hershey kisses…40 gift bags for $6….15 cents each. Waiting for 90% off till I try and scored some artificial trees though. Our store is at 70%my off. …the thrill and joy I get from couponing is almost as valueable as the savings. Love it!

I know what you mean I had my boys scanning items on the Christmas Clearance aisle. I bought four boxes of cookie mix ofr .59 cents. The nice metallic wrapping paper which my husband and kids like 3 packs only $1.80. Ribbon in rows only .90 cents. Hershey Kisses Christmas Candy 70% off only 1.00 plus I had a coupon bought two bags. The Ghrild. Candy had a coupon and spent 2.00 that was my highest purchase but it was a bag of Ghrild. But I agree with the other girls if a box of Christmas mix was 2.90 that was a bit to steep for me even after clearance. I also made sure I only bought what I needed. Last year I went crazy and overstocked on Christmas stuff and ended up giving 1/2 of it away. Most of my relatives live out of town so it defeats the purposes of purchasing say a 2.90 cup with set of coffee and paying 9.00 for postage. I have learned to be thrifty then usual this year. I even did my Christmas shopping Thanks to Collin early this year and saved alot of money by doing that. But this year I used all of Targets sales on clothes plus their coupons and saved alot of money as well. When my family asked me today how I had done it I told them I couponed my way through Target gifts for everyone.

Market pantry coupons available for candy cane bars and festive gummies for 9 cents.

    • rocio

      where are those coupon found

  13. Brooke

I went to my local Target today too and scored Dunkin Donuts Mocha Mint coffee (unmarked as a clearance item and also just with the other coffees) for $2.47 and had a $1.00 coupon! $1.47 for coffee is not bad! And I got peanut butter M&M’s which were half off at $1.48 each and I had $1.50 off Target coupon & $1.00 MQ so $.23 each bag! Got the Betty Crocker cookie bag deal as well. Snickerdoodles were also unmarked in the regular baking isle. Clearance for $.62 and had a printable coupon for $.60 off so got them for $.02 cents 🙂

    • Mar

I did get two bags of the Dunkin coffee; but I couldn’t find any coupons for it’ so I paid 2.47. Mind sharing where you found your coupons for Dunkin?

      • Brooke

They were actually newspaper coupons but I’m not sure what week 🙁

        • Sarah

12/02RP had a $0.75/1 coupon, values tend to vary by region

  14. kim

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but snickerdoodle cookie mix (betty crocker brand) are on sale for $1.02. They are actually ringing up for $.62. There are coupons for $.40\1 & $.75\2. Also you should get a free icing if you buy 4. They didn’t get it to me, but my daughter was getting fussy & I just wanted to get out. So after coupons, around $.22 each.

  15. MalibuBeachBum

Got the Rachael Ray Bubble & Brown two piece set in orange today for $14.99! Marked down from $49.99. So happy!

  16. Brandi

is anyone having problems with their Target coupons not printing an expiration date? Mine is printing solid black box! HELP!

    • Delia

I had this happen while back it has something to do with your printer preferences. I had to change mine to (If I remeber correctly.. Print in Grayscale and set “Print all text in black” to disable. Hope it helps.

  17. Lynn

  18. Kath
