The green tag all oft them have the same bar codes! And if u use it 4 times on same day that doesn’t work to get 1dlr bucks! Its for every 4 times different days!

    • kristen

If you use the green tag in different CVS, it will count. I’ve done purchase at one store then did another at a different store on the same day, it counted twice.

      • mel

It’s never counted for me using my GBT on the same day at a different store.

      • Stacy

does not work for me either. Even if I go to 3 stores, it really only counts once per day. you must be lucky 🙂

    • Catrina

It does’nt work for me either. The associate said I could only use it once a day.

  2. Seth

    edy,
What state do you live in? I always read your comments of your awesome finds and scenarios but never find those deals in the Cleveland, Ohio area.

    • edy

Seth, I live in texas, but there is a lot of newspapers for the spanish community that have different inserts but, some people don’t even care about them! I have a lot of friends that are always in the look out for different cpns! We share some friends are loyal to there products they says there not good cuponers because, of that I have a lot of cpns stayfree and buy schick razor get edge free! I won’t be using this store was wiped and also, have huggies cpns too! If interested email me at shirbb@live.com.mx thanks! Look for spanish newspapers my cousin who lives in dallas gets different value cpns! Right now I have speed stick deod cpns .50 value

      • Priscilla Rivera

        Question do u sell coupons ????? I spend $20 a
Week buying the newspaper and sometimes I don’t use them all…….. over here in Massachusetts the coupons really suck we don’t get high value ones anymore …. If I want those I have to buy the Boston globe and is almost $4 each newspaper

        • edy

No I don’t sell them! I met a lady throught this website and I send her inserts every week! She only sends me stamps! Here the newspaper cost $2.50 each. In dallas is 2.50 also, but, I have like 30 friends and if they have the ones I need they give them to me. And I have a lot of african american friends they don’t use certain cpns so, they bring them to me and if they live anr shop different places they got me the peelies too! Also, have 3 male friends that cupon and they are the ones that got me the colgate, speed stick, and soft soap cpns and there is also a cvs store, I don’t shop at that one but, there customers preorder on wendesday and by sunday they have the baskets with name tags! Confirmed by 2 friends.

        • lovedeals

instead of buying newspaper why don’t you buy coupons from ebay. that way you can buy the coupon you need and at very low price. I live in california and I pay $1 for each sunday newspaper.

        • Amanda Guerra

We’re in ma do you live? I can usualy get inserts at a good price if you are not far

      • Amanda

If you have the paper delivered to your house or know someone that delivers papers you could ask them to give you their extras. I have a family member that delivers our local paper and what I don’t take they put in a recycle bin. I have to wait until Monday to get the Sunday coupons but the papers are free!!

    • tiffany

I live in Akron Ohio, and I agree with Seth we don’t have the best deals here either.

      • Seth

        Tiffany,

I too live in Akron, Ohio! How awesome!

        • jessie

          i live in cleveland!

  3. Shayla

There is/was a $2/1 Glade twin-pk refill coupon available on coupons.com that can sweeten the spend $30, get $10 cash card =) My mom goes through 6 refills a month so this will be a big help for her!!!

  4. Vishnu

    Hey Collin ,
The ibotta for Kellogg’s is only 50 cents and
Buying 2 didn’t work for me. They wouldn’t
Replace the same offer as they did in the past with some clear shampoo ones.
Had similar issue with robutossin deal.

  5. Marija

Did anyone try the hallmark deal on the .99 cards…???

    • ann

      Yes, it worked.

      • Marija

        Thanks 🙂

  6. Sarah

The Huggies $3.00 coupon is still available on Walmart.com (has not reset – I needed another computer to get one) to make the Cash card deal even better.

    • Priscilla Rivera

I wish I could print those from my iPhone or ipad won’t allow me good one

  7. Priscilla Rivera

Hello I think I did a good deal with the diapers bought 4 packs of little movers jumbo pack used 3/2.00 and 1/$1.50 Huggies coupon + $10 in extra bucks + $4 off $20 I paid $16.46 and got back a $10 cash card not bad

  8. Kristen

For the “All L’oreal foundation, powder, blush, or concealer Buy 1 get 1 50% off,” Collin listed a $2 coupon in the 1/6 RP or a $1 printable coupon. But in my 1/6RP there was also a coupon that said “Save $3 on any L’Oreal Paris cosmetic face product.” It was right next to the “Save $2 on any L’Oreal Paris powder, concealer, primer, or blush.”

I’m planning to buy two powders, so just wondering if you think I could use both the $3 and the $2 coupon? I’m a little worried that it wouldn’t be allowed for some reason since Collin didn’t list the $3 coupon 😉 Is powder considered a cosmetic face product??

    • mel

Powder is a face product, but to use both coupons, you’d have to buy 3 items.. The $3/2 will attach to 2 items and the $2/1 will attach to the 3rd.

      • mel

Sorry!! It was early when I replied and hadn’t had my cup of coffee and misread!!
Since both coupons are off 1, then yes you can use them both for your powders.

        • Kristen

Thanks! I thought so too but I was confused when it wasn’t listed in the match-ups so wanted to get someone else’s opinion 🙂

    • mel

      (when you share the coupon)

      • Seth

        Thanks so much Mel!

    • WynetteC

Mel, thanks so much for this tip! 😀 I already had the scott values coupon from Scotts site for their paper products but this is a CVS coupon. SWEET!

      • WynetteC

Just got back from CVS… Two of the CVS store coupons can be used, just hit the back button on the browser to print a second time. In my case, I rubbed off a $1 coin and it doubled when I shared it on twitter. The only thing is you cannot use them both in the same transaction so split it into two seperate ones. I did this…
        Bought:
2 Scott 1000 (must be bought in separate transactions if using two store coupons)
        2 Tide
        3 Dawn renewal
total = $29.83 (this is combined total of both of my transactions)(Also the total shows less than $30, but CVS allows the total on a Buy $$$ get $$ promotion to be within 2% of the total so the reward will still print)

Used (2) -$2 off CVS store printable coupon Scott
        (2) -$1.25 off Scott toilet tissue Shared values printable coupon (will need 2 Computers)
        (2) -$1.50 off Tide
        (3) -$0.50 off Dawn Hand renewal
        = $18.83
Received a $10 cash card Like paying $8.83 for it ALL! Plus use any extra Extra Care Bucks that you have earned to reduce your out of pocket expense. 🙂

    • Seth

Go to Scott’s website and sign up and you can print off a $1.25/1. Pick which coupon you want (either TP or paper towels). Share on fb gets you the higher value coupon!!

  9. bhw

WOWZA…almost 200 comments on just this CVS post alone.

This is what I LOVE about Hip2Save. A community of people helping each other save money. I love reading all the comments and how people are willing to share their knowledge of working out problems. Way to go everyone!!!

  10. roz

Colins,on your l’oreal scenario, since i have a $4 off $20 facial coupon from the red machine,am i still able to use $4 off $20 for the the total?i am confused.thanks for what you do.

  11. Deb VanHouten

I just printed a CVS coupon from my cvs.com Extracare offers for “Buy 3 Hallmark cards, get 1 Free!”. Do you think this can be combined with the FB coupon AND still get the ECB??

    • Lisa W

It’s worked for me in the past! Ends up being a great moneymaker for me!

  12. Stephanie

I used the $2 off cold purchase in conjunction with 2 dimetap $2 off 1 product coupons and bought 2 dimetap children syrups and a pack of tissue for $4.51 + $3 ECB so $1.51 for both dimetap and the tissues.

Also, today the coupon machine printed a $3 off $15 cold/ flu purchase

  13. Taera

I went to CVS tonight to buy 3 coke 12 packs and planned to use 2 coupons for free 12 packs from mycokerewards and a $2 coupon on the 3rd 12 pack from the IGA website Collin posted about a few weeks ago and couldn’t use any of them. The cashiers said they aren’t taking any coke coupons due to some fraudulent coupons that are circulating. I asked if it was all stores and they said yes in our area. I am in San Antonio. Has anyone else experienced this?

    • mel

A few years ago, ours got hit with a ton of fake coke, pepsi and P&G coupons. So they stopped taking high valued, frees & IPs for a long time! Like a year. Eventually a new manager took over and he slowly started letting ppl use them again.

When I did my deal the other day for the Coke, I kept mine attached and tore them off at the register so the cashier saw they came in the mail from mycokerewards. AFA the Coke IP from IGA, if it printed with the store logo and/or said Redeemable at IGA, then CVS doesn’t take those types of coupons anyway (per their online policy, they do not accept 3rd party manuf cpns with other store logos)

      • Shayla

I too was informed by my manager about the Coke coupon fraud (especially when the $.99 Coke Zero facebook coupon from the summer). I was told I couldn’t use it, even though they know me and trust me. However, I think they laxed on this as when I took in my freebies from mycokerewards, they were totally cool about it. Knowledge is key so whenever I can give tips to my local CVS about coupons that are available, they seem pretty cool about accepting them.

  14. Single mom

Had a great night at CVS. I had $10 of ECB from my quarterly rewards and $1 ECB for using the green tag 4 times. So, $11 of free money and did the following:

Purchased 23 two liter coke products
    $30.59 total
    Used $11 of ECB
    Received $10 gift card
    Final Cost of $9.59
    That’s about .42 cents per 2 liter

Left plenty on the shelf, too! We have a pot luck each month at my church and I always try to take a soda or two in addition to a dish, so nice to have a nice supply on the cheap!

  15. Christie R.

I was cleaning out my purse recently and found a CVS coupon for $6 off $20 of Pure Moist Contact solution. It’s a (slightly) expired one but my store is good about taking them. It will really help with the deal this week. Thanks for all the savings help!

  16. edy

The only coke cpn that I seen at cvs and they have it by cashiers as fradulent is a 2dlr cpn of a 12pck.

  17. Mary

May be a silly question, and sorry if already asked, but can I use the $10 cvs cash card in my next transaction and still get another? It says limit 5 per person?

    • Seth

      Yes you can Mary. 🙂

  18. ann

I live in a county in CA that no longer uses plastic bags. You have the option of buying paper bag for a dime. This has force me to bring my own bags all the time = green leaf buck every week!

  19. Heather C.

Has anybody been to CVS this morning or late yesterday and found any of the Suave with the peelies on them? I’m going later this morning, and wondering if I’ll have any luck finding them. 🙂 TIA

  20. Kate

    The goodnights didn’t work 🙁

  21. AJ

I called CVS the other day to check and see if the coupon for a FREE Clear Scalp & Hair Shampoo ($2.49) actually took off $2.49 or if it added it on. Well after review, the representative told me the coupon ADDED $2.49 to my total. Since I bought 2 shampoos, I was charged about $10 extra and I thought I was getting an item for free! So she issued me a $10 ECB. Call 1800shopcvs if you used that coupon to get your $10 ECB.

  22. samantha g.

I went to CVS today to use the $2 off any 3 card purchase Hallmark coupon, but could only locate AMERICAN GREETINGS cards….???

    • mel

Some regions are American greetings, others hallmark. I made the mistake once of printing a hallmark coupon only to find out my store carries just AG.

  23. Deb VanHouten

I gt at least once a week to CVS. I have two that I frequent. The one closest to me is not as friendly as the other. Yesterday, while shopping at this one, The manager was keeping an eye on me. When I went up to pay, she (the manager) asked if she could ring me up at a different register (away from the front clerk). I thought that odd, but agreed. Then she proceeded to go thru every single one of my coupons (and I had a lot!), with a fine tooth comb. She was desperately trying to find problems. The only thing she found was one coupon that she wouldn’t take b/c I had cut off part of the exp date. I HATE when this happens! Why do they do this? I feel like a criminal when treated like this. I will not be returning to this CVS anymore. I would rather drive farther away. The other CVS I go to is super friendly, and very helpful with the coupons. They even tell me about deals (of course it is rare that I don’t aready know about it, thanks for Collin!) So disappointing.

    • Seth

      Deb,

I wouldn’t let that stop you. If that happened to me, I would continue to go there just to make that manager work for her pay. However, I do agree that shopping some where that is coupon friendly is much better. Don’t let these types of people bother you! 🙂

      • Deb VanHouten

These people act like we are stealing, and you would think the money was coming out of their pockets! It just ruins the high I feel when I get deals.

    • cat w

Glad to see I’m not the only one. There are three that I frequent. Two are near my home…both less than five minutes away and one right next to where I work. The two near me are super nice and at one of them the cashiers always give me a heads up on deals they see other couponers doing which is great. But the store near my job…horrible. The staff on the evening shift are so unfriendly and inspect every coupon one at a time. Plus if the manager on evenings sees me she usually will stand right behind the cashier I go to and inspect them along with him/her. Never a smile and always quite rude. I stopped going even though the manager on days is really great. I rarely am able to stop in on days before work so I always went after work which is in the evening. I just wish they would stop acting like we’re trying to pull a fast one on them.

      • Seth

It does ruin the high you get from getting awesome deals. However, you can’t let these negative people get to you. You’re saving money and they are jealous. Who cares if they inspect every coupon you have, next time, go in with tons more! I have been couponing for about two years and sometimes, I know the stores coupon policy better than the employees. I think anyone who uses coupons knows the policy better than those who should know it. Don’t let these negative people discourage you though. Maybe you should call those people out and ask why they have a problem with you. But always be friendly no matter what they do. Don’t let them bully you and make you feel unwelcome. 🙂

    • irene

Hopefully, after getting so much attention, they’ll realize you are legit and not trying to cheat them! It does make life easier to shop at friendly stores, but remember… this is YOUR money. Don’t let others make you feel bad about couponing.

      • mel

I had a problem with one cashier, she would always run up to the counter to ck me out, scrutinize my coupons, try to tell me I couldn’t use my $4/$20 unless I had $20 after manuf cpns.. on and on.. but I trudged through wk in and wk out. Eventually I guess she realized I wasn’t like some of the other customers, and would tell me Hello when I walked in. But another store opened up closer to my house that I started going to, the employees made me feel welcome from the first moment I walked in! Even though there have been cashier changes over the years, its fun “breaking in” a new one as they are amazed at my savings and want to know my secret! I even got a call from the manager a few wks ago to tell me I was one of his store’s top customers and to see him for some special coupons!
Moral.. Don’t let one sour grape ruin your shopping trip! Just smile, joke that you’re a super savvy shopper, and you know how to match coupons to store sales to get the most bang for your buck!
The cashier at store #1, funny that after 3 yrs of not shopping at that location, I was with my sister and we stopped at that store b/c it was on the way home, and figured what are the chances she’s still there? Well, she was (promoted at that!) and she was actually excited to see me. Chatting me up, wanting to know where I’ve been.. LOL So even though she probably hated to ck me out, her store was actually missing out on a valuable customer!

I know for a fact, they use to check my cupons and they could never find anything wrong with mine! I went today to to my 150 cash card all at once. And I asked cashier that if she could give me a after the 50 cash card instead of 10 amounts she said she would and she did. But, I know for a fact there is 2 customers that seat on the front on the store on the floor and cut cupons and they make a big deal threat to call corporate they asked for rain checks for the all washing liquid last week. Cashier said she would for the sale price but, couldn’t give her a raincheck for enough all for the amount of 30dlrs since the ad states! No rainchecks on cash cards she started yelling saying this is not going to fly! I just call corporate! And then she cuts the expiration dates on expired cpns I saw her giving the .75 dawn cpns from 2 months ago 12/31 and tide 1.50 cpns 11/30 cashier wasn’t paying attencion! Because of her yelling! And when customer left cashier look at cpns. And she said omg / then I saw her sunday again she gave me a cpn for scott cpn 1.25 when I looked at cpn it had expired 1/6/13 and I told her she just said they don’t pay attencion and I know where to go and use them with. I told her, I don’t wish to talk to her and please don’t come around me because, I don’t want the manager or cashier to think I do the same things! I want to go in do my shopping and get out they know me since the store used to be eckerds drugs and 8 years ago became a cvs. So please, if there is nothing wrong with ur cpns smile and don’t let no noone stop u from cuponing.

QUESTION: I have a 20% off CVS store coupon, I know I can only use it on regular priced items, my question is will using ECB to pay mess up my savings? For example: if I buy 6 L’Oreal Go 360 cleansers @ $5.29 = $31.74 – 20% ($6.34) – 3 $3/2 Q = $16.40 -$10ECB = 6.40 or $1.06 each. Sounds good but if I use ecb to pay the $16.40 will it mess up my 20%? I’ve only had a 20% off once before and it didn’t come out like I thought. thanks in advance for the info.

Regular ECB’s should not effect your discount, however if you use Beauty Bucks, Forced printed or Green Bag Tag ECB’s, $4/$20 or any other coupon entered as CVS coupons then your 20% will be adjusted as these are store coupons and not manufacturer coupons. As a general rule I don’t use any of these in conjunction with a % off coupon in order to maximize my savings. But as we couponers know, no matter how well we plan or prepare things may not always go the way we expect. Good luck and I hope this helps.
