I’m still waiting for the delivery. I’m glad I checked this site again since I will need to be returned the product. I’m depressed, I really wanted this product.

    • alissa

I am as well. I’m bummed it hadn’t even arrived nevertheless being able to determine its a fake. How does a site which is so reputable who people swear by and ordered from manage to strike a huge deal with a company selling fraudulent items???

  2. Janie

I just talked to sharing spree, again. Because I had not seen my refund yet, and the woman that I keep talking to, Lisa, is so rude. If I ask her to explain anything she gets all defensive, if I were that company I would be extra nice to maybe save a few customers. After calling I received an email from Timothy Moorehead saying that my refund is $76.00, so that is the cost of the Mia plus our shipping costs. I won’t trust this until I see if on my bank statement. They are mailing out return labels so you can return your mia at not cost to you. I’m bummed out for all of us, it was so exciting and then a HUGE letdown.

    • glo

I had the same experience. I received an email from Lisa and which was the one that stated that the voucher was void if pruchased online and that sent me off the rails because i knew that wasnt true since i printed out my voucher prior to this whole debacle. I than received an email from Timothy saying I received a refund fro the $76. I checked my sharing spree account and the voucher isnt there anymore. Im sure the refund will take a few days to post but im not sending anything back until I get my refund. I too was excited to try this out and am very bummed but I guess you get what you pay for.

    • Laura

Well I have decided to keep mine. I was able to register it and have received several email offers from Clarisonic already. I am not so sure they are fake. Clarisonic comes out with so many new colors and models, my thoughts are these are just closeouts bought out by companies, just like 1saleaday and others. That is why they are sold for less. I may be wrong and if I do have problems with it in the next 2 years, I guess we’ll just see if Clarisonic honors the warranty. In the meantime, I am loving using the Mia!

      • Katy

It’s interesting that you were able to register yours. I tried and it would not let me. I posted a message on FB and this was Sharing Spree’s response.

Sharing Spree Birmingham It is not a fake. When purchased on line for such a huge discount it is not available to be registered. You wil love it! I have it and it works perfect:)

      • Kezm

I’m not so sure they’re all fakes either. The one I received looks and performs like a real one. Unfortunately, I can’t register it so it’s going back because I’d hate to be wrong should it stop working.

    • Amy

Tim Moorehead is not an employee at Sharing Spree. If you are having any problems at all, you should call Ron Sapp or Megan Sapp. Their direct numbers are 503-367-4198 and 503-804-2440. I’m sure they will be happy to help you 24/7.

      • Jen

So, who is Mr. Moorehead? He’s the one I got an email from when they finally DID credit my account.

        • Ashley

Possibly employee of live shop give, which Megan explained in an email as a co assisting SS with customer service.

          • Amy

I just checked with the Better Business Bureau and Sharing Spree has an “F”. Also, they are on another site called Rip Off Reports.

            • Jen

They previously (when this deal went live) had an A- and only one complaint. The fake urban decay palettes didn’t come to light until after this spree had closed.

            • Lauri

I was getting my hair done yesterday by a hairdresser who ran a deal on Sharing Spree. She told me that she has been trying to get paid by them for months. She said other local businesses are experiencing the same thing. So sad and dishonest!

            • Ashley

              as it should be.

    • Beth

I too purchased this product and have not received it. Any info you can provide would be helpful. Disappointed to say at the least.

      • Ashley

I wonder if they’ve been on the news any further…

  3. Alissa

How do I handle not even even receiving the darn product, especially since Lisa will just telling me I have to wait the entire 4 weeks which is bogus.

  4. Nicole

I finally received my Clarisonic today. The font is crooked and obviously fake. Very unfortunate. Based on their previous reputation, I don’t think Sharing Spree was out to screw people and most likely they got screwed by a vendor. They have been very responsive to my emails on Facebook and are issuing a refund. Most credit cards have a merchandise protection policy so you should always be covered in situations like these.

  5. Whitney

For what it’s worth…there are quite a few online authorized Clarisonic retailers that are offering 20% off any purchase for Valentine’s Day. They also offer free shipping with a minimum purchase. (You can always check with Clarisonic to make sure you are purchasing from an authorized retailer to guarantee they will honor the warranty.) If you go through ebates or shop at home and purchase the Mia (regular price $119) with the discount and free shipping, your total price won’t be that much more than the Sharing Spree deal. I know it’s not a Mia 2 and the deal isn’t wonderful, but at least it’s something if you had your heart set on a legitimate Clarisonic. Good luck to everyone!

    • Janie

Hi Whitney, I am interested in getting a genuine clarisonic. I have been searching for authorized dealers with 20% off and can’t seem to find any. Could you please list one or two authorized dealers with this sale going on? Thank you!

  6. Whitney

Hi Janie! I found the authorized list through the Clarisonic facebook page…it’s actually a link for international shipping. I remember askderm.com, skinstore.com & skinetc.com. Just to be safe, I would call Clarisonic and verify before ordering. No need to repeat this fiasco! I would also check around and see where you can get the best cash back..Mr. Rebates, Shop at Home & Ebates. Also don’t forget that Shop at Home will “cash back match.” Good luck! I can’t decide whether to go with the Mia to get the cheaper price or just stick with the Mia 2, but I’m definitely going to order one!

    • Janie

Thank you Whitney 🙂 I agree, I will be putting some time into making sure I am buying from a authorized dealer. I have been debating what system to go with too. I’ve read many reviews that say they only use one speed on their Mia 2, so really they could have went with the Mia. So something to consider.

  7. Natalia

I got today my Clarisonic and can say its fake.Sign Mia2-if you look at very good you can see differents(must be little space between Mia and 2).Real clarisonic brush not spin or wibrate on this tool.(i have a brush from Ulta for Clarisonic us a gift long time ago).So brush feet but not work. And smell-real 1 dont. So i gona return it:(

  8. Brooke

So has anyone actually received their refund yet? My mom received mine today and just tried to register it and it wouldn’t work. I’ll be calling Sharing Spree tomorrow to request my refund.

  9. claire

I received my clarisonic yesterday. I tried to register the product online last night but kept getting error messages. I called clarisonic today to register via phone and customer service said its not their product because the serial # or product code number is non existent. She also mentioned that they’ve been inundated with calls for non-existent or “fake” product numbers. I called shopping spree to no avail but I finally got through. I was given a merchant number to call and it sounded like a personal # saying the voice mailbox is full. I can’t believe it’s fake! For the price—it really was too good to be true :/

    • Sherri

I am pretty sure the entire batch was fake. I emailed Sharing Spree on Friday and they had a refund in my account by Sunday. They are sending a return shipping label. I have Definitly learned my lesson on this one!

      • Ashley

Just a question: are the return labels coming via link in an email or via USPS?

  10. Melissa

I still have not received my Clarisonic. Now after reading all the comments I see I should be putting Clarisonic in quotes since the one Sharing Spree was offering was a fake. I just emailed Sharing Spree. Hopefully they respond and refund my money. I am not holding my breathe.

    • Krissy

I still didnt recieve mine either. I was going to wait until the mail comes today & then try to call Sharing Spree. Im going to be returning it so Im not really sure what to say to them, “Hi,I didnt recieve my purchase but I want to return it anyways because its fake so can you just refund me even though I dont have anything to send you back”

      • Brooke

Where are you located? I am in FL and mine arrived on Monday.

I couldn’t get through to Sharing Spree on Tuesday so I submitted my information on the contact form on their website, gave them until yesterday to respond and ended up calling them regarding my refund. They said they have been overwhelmed with calls regarding the Clarisonic but they will refund my money early next week and send me a packing slip to return the product. She also added that they’ll never use that distributor again.

    • Melissa

Update: I received my Clarisonic today. I was able to register it without any problem. I went to the link posted by by someone on this thread on how to identify the counterfeit models. I can see no indication of mine being a fake. I am assuming at this point that I received the genuine product. But I plan on contacting Clarisonic customer service to make sure that my code is legit.

      • Sam

I know it would be very difficult to tell that it is a fake without knowing the product very well. There are a host of subtle differences but what stood out to me was when I placed the authentic brush head on the fake (from sharing spree) model it didn’t spin correctly. When I plugged it in to charge, it is meant to pulse TWICE, it pulses once. The barcode on the box is different to that of an authentic box. Also, all Clarisonic boxes should have a sticker on the bottom with a 5 digit number, to the right of the barcode. This sticker is not there. There are numerous other little things eg the packaging, the brochure, etc. I have NO doubts they are fake.

  11. Sam

Received two fake Mia2’s today. They are good fakes. Tried my real Clarisonic brush head on it and it hardly spun at all compared to my authentic Mia. There are numerous little inconsistencies, if anyone wants to talk about them I would be happy to assist. But I am certain these items are not authentic. I have yet to hear back from Sharing Spree but needless to say I am utterly disappointed. Especially since it appears they have known there was an issue. A refund should have been sent immediately and all shipments of questionable goods ceased. Very unprofessional of them.

  12. Nicole

I was in contact with someone on Sharing Spree’s Facebook page and they were very responsive. I received an email that my refund was initiated last Monday and a refund on my credit card Wednesday. Just go through FB for a fast response.

  13. Melissa

Update: I received one and was able to register it. I see no signs that mine is a fake at this time but am not absolutely positive. I plan to buy a new brush for mine at Ulta and test if it works. Meanwhile, I received an email from a Lisa Casper at Sharing Spree with a message from Megan Sapp:
” Thank you for your purchase on Sharing Spree. We stand behind all our deals!

The MIA 2 is not fake. When purchased as a deal the warranty is not valid which makes sense, since you paid less than half of retail. We stand behind our products so if you have any problems with it you can contact me directly, I am the COO and one of the owners. I have one of the MIA 2 we sold and love it!

If you want to return it, it must be in new condition and in the box. You will send an
email to customersupport@liveshopgive.com. You will be provided with a return
authorization number and once it is received Sharing Spree will mail you a refund check. ”

Frankly, I am very annoyed by this email. It is a blanket denial that any of the Mia 2s they sold were fake. (Unless she is doing a Bill Clintonish obfuscation – it depends on the meaning of “is”. So, she may be referring to the legitimate product, which of course we know exists, instead of the fakes she has been selling.) While saying that they stand by all their deals, she puts the requirement that the product be in new condition. So I take this to mean that if you opened the box and tested the product to see if it works, it is no longer new and thus unreturnable. If yours is a fake you are stuck with it. More than that, I find it outrageous that she states that buying a product – any product – at a discount invalidates the warranty. If one buys a defective product, it should not matter what one originally paid for it – unless that is clearly specified when purchasing. That bit of information was not clearly specified on Sharing Sprees site. The fact that there is no valid warranty for this “Mia 2” is an enormous red flag.

    • Melissa

One more thing to add. Megan Sapp of Sharing Spree wrote: “When purchased as a deal the warranty is not valid which makes sense, since you paid less than half of retail.” So, I wonder if the warranties on all the other deals Sharing Spree sells are also not valid since those items or services are discounted as well?

      • Brooke

I just got that same e-mail, word for word, so clearly it’s the standard reply they are giving everyone.

When I actually got through to someone on the phone last week, 3 days after I submitted the information online (their “quickest way to get a response”) they were very apologetic and said they would send refund my card early next week – not a check as the e-mail from them states. They have until Wednesday to get the refund on my card before I submit a dispute through my credit card company and file a complaint with the BBB.

I agree with an earlier commenter that these are really good fakes. I pulled up various blogs regarding how to tell real vs. fake and couldn’t find anything that suggested that mine was not authentic aside from not being able to register it with Clarisonic. I have considered that this is an issue with Clarisonic not wanting to put a warranty on these and flagging these serial numbers but I would think they would just issue a blanket statement about no warranty on discounted units or units that haven’t been purchased by an authorized retailer rather than just stating they are fake.

  14. Brooke

I just got the same e-mail word for word.

Mine also apThey may not be fakes, but you should

  15. Ashley

I got the same run-around, ladies. Same exact verbiage after I chased and chased them on email and Facebook. I think that Lisa Casper may be in a bit of hot water b/c she told me in an email to contact doorstepgenius.com, which apparently handles shipping. Liveshopgive handles customer service. And how you reckon’ the profits from this product are gonna spread around to three companies, esp. given how many refunds they have to issue?

I’m kinda angry that I’m even spending this much time and energy on it, but like all of you, I reeeealllly wanted this product and at the “deal” price. And really, once I bought the deal and had my voucher, I already “owned” it. I held out hope for way too long that it *might* be authentic. And now I need to just put my big-girl panties on and pay full-price so I can stop obsessing…..which makes me wonder why I’m so hung up on having one.

  16. Sam

When you Google the fake Clarisonics the posts are certainly pertaining to older model fakes or Mia (1’s). I have pictures and details for anyone who needs help identifying the fake Mia2 sold by Sharing Spree and shipped from Doorstep Genius. It looks VERY good but PLEASE do not be fooled by this. Sharing Spree are spewing lies saying they are not fake, but then when pushed will refund you. It is very sad that they are playing these games and I’m sure many people won’t question them after they state that they are authentic, or won’t even know for a few months to even question the product at all. And this company has a history of sending out counterfeit items. Fake Urban Decay Naked2 Palettes. I’m disgusted.

    • Sherri

This is the email I got.

“Thank you for shopping with Sharing Spree.

At Sharing Spree we work with many third party merchants, vendors and suppliers – and while we cannot always guarantee the products and services that they offer our customers, we can always guarantee ours. With that said, we always refund for deals that our customers aren’t happy with.

We were not aware of anything that was wrong with the palettes and we marketed them as they were marketed to us, so it’s absolutely a concern.  The refund has been completed to your card for $76.

We will be returning these products back to the wholesaler so if you will please send your product back once you receive your return label, it would be greatly appreciated.

Again, our apologies that you were not happy with your purchase, but you can be guaranteed that Sharing Spree will do the right thing. Thanks again!”

Notice the use of palettes instead of clarasonic? It must have been the form letter they sent out for that.
That was on Feb 9th. I got a refund within a couple of days but still haven’t gotten my Clarasonic. I am glad I didn’t wait til I got it.

      • Melissa

Interesting that they gave your refund to you already. I contacted them last Friday because I had not received mine yet. Meanwhile, I read about the fakes people were receiving and asked for my money back. I was told that I would have to receive it and send it back before they would refund my money.

    • Melissa

re: I have pictures and details for anyone who needs help identifying the fake Mia2 sold by Sharing Spree and shipped from Doorstep Genius.

Sam, I would like to see the pictures and details of the fake Mia 2. Thanks!

      • Sam

        Hi Melissa,

Some details below.. I can’t send pictures here but if you wanted me to email them let me know. I would however be willing to bet without seeing your Mia that if it was bought from Sharing Spree it is fake. The way they have handled this is just disgraceful.

        – Box. The bottom of the box should have a small rectangular sticker with 5 digits on it to the right of the barcode. The sticker is usually place on or around a rectangle of white, which is visible when you move the box in the light. This sounds.. odd, but it is there. On every box. It is not there on the fakes. The barcode itself is also a giveaway. It is poorly printed and next to an authentic barcode stands out. This was actually what first alerted me to look closer at the items. Other than that on the box, its well done so far as I can tell. The orange is slightly paler and the box itself is slightly poorer quality cardstock which seems easily damaged. Also, the round sticker on an authentic Mia will peal off, and you could say stick it somewhere else. The sticker on the fakes just is super thin and and has no “stick” left when you remove it.

        – Cleanser. Bottle is different to an authentic trial size cleanser. Have not opened it to try, and don’t intend on it.

        – Travel container. Looks pretty much the same as the authentic, with one major flaw (mine anyway) – the authentic container will “click” when you close it together. It won’t just open up. The fake one I simply cant get it to click or close properly. Rendering it pretty useless as a travel container!

        – Mia2 – The button took force to press and made a loud clicking sound. After you take the brush head off, underneath, the gold pins that are exposed are larger than those on an authentic. The big reveal for me was … After applying an authentic Clarisonic brush head to the fake Mia2 – the brush HARDLY spun. Use the fake brush head with the fake Mia2 and it looks to work fine. But apply an authentic brush head and you may as well just manually rotate the brush in circles for all it does. I know this is difficult for you to do if you do not have an authentic brush head on hand. But I implore you not to wait long enough to find out and see if your Mia2 is fake. The company has lied to many of us, stating they are real, only to cave and admit fault after they were pushed.

        – Charger – connect the charger to the Mia2. It should just snap together easily and not shift at all due to the magnets and the fit. When I connect the fake charger and Mia2 the charger shifts around and sort of .. hangs off the side of the Mia2. My authentic Mia will connect to its charger and it is snug. I can shake the unit around (I did this.. to test) and the charger won’t fall off. Not so for the fake.

        – If you are still unconvinced, call Clarisonic with the number on your unit. Ask their advice.

I hope this has helped someone. I see that Nicole below has also noted some differences between the authentic and fake. There are probably many more inconsistencies that I have not uncovered too.

        • Jen

          Sam,
Can you post a link to some photos of the charger itself (differences between fake and real)? I have two that look identical for the stickers, but the actual charger has differences.

          • Sam

Yes, I will do this as soon as possible and post a link back here. There isn’t a whole lot of difference to the naked eye however. When you actually *connect* charger and Mia this is where the difference is more apparent.

        • Ashley

Ah-HA! I knew there was a reason why the barcode scanner in my phone couldn’t read the barcode! And my box was smushed on one side…not great card stock. Lmk of your success or lack thereof in getting a postage-paid return label.

        • Hazel

Sam, can you possibly post links to photos of the fake Clarisonic Mia 2? Thank you!

    • Ashley

The email said “happy to accept your return with unopened package.” How are we to inspect said product (not that I need to after hearing everyone’s experiences, but…..

      • Sam

I have opened and inspected my package, and you can bet I am getting a full refund. They are spewing lies and claiming what they sent many of us is authentic and that they own and use the product themselves – and then when you don’t take the bait, they send a lame email and say they will refund you. In full. Do not pay to return the item to them, wait for a return label. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this company is disgraceful.

    • Ashley

Today I was told in email that they purchased the Mia 2s from “a distributor that buys product from cos that go out of business” and that’s why warranty not valid.

      • Sam

        More lies.

  17. Nicole

I compared the Sharing Spree white Mia2 to my friend’s authentic pink Mia2 and here are the differences:
Fake: crooked logo and Mia2 font is not as defined as real, the buttons are not as defined and harder to push with a louder click, the gold buttons on the inside that hold the brush in place are wider, longer and matte gold, brush bristles are coarser, incorrect serial number (could not register).
Regarding the invalid warranty: the only reason it is void is because Sharing Spree is not an authorized vendor. If you purchase a Clarisonic direct or from Sephora, Skinstore, etc. on sale, the warranty is still valid.

  18. Krissy

I have still not recieved my product yet so I called today. Lisa told me that the last batch is being shipped out this week because they are coming from a small company. Out of curiosity I searched Sharing Spree on the BBB website. It came up as being in Florida? it had the same web address & a few old complaints with no details but 1 newer complaint from someone that supplied them with the product for a deal & had trouble getting their money. I thought this was interesting…

    • Ashley

A bunch of different cities have sharing spree.

      • Krissy

The address on my voucher says Oregon though.. I guess it doesnt matter but I just thought it was interesting after all the different stories everyone on here has been getting from them.

    • Sam

Considering Lisa has lied to so many of us already, I would be extremely reluctant to believe anything that comes out of this ladies mouth.

      • Jen

Sam, Thanks for the info about the pins. I agree, these are good fakes, but still fakes. I had seen the previous comparisons which mentioned plastic pins inside, so thought it was “good” when mine appeared brass. I did note, though that the pins on this unit were larger, and actually corroded appearing within 2 days of being damp.
I have since purchased a genuine Mia from skinstore.com and the pins on it are smaller diameter and have absolutely no discoloration, though they too have been wet.
Last week “Ashley Bean” from sharing spree was willing to refund my money, but I have heard nothing since. Today I contact my credit card company!

        • Sam

Glad to hear you contacted you CC company. I hope everyone who is getting the run around will do this. Enjoy your new authentic Mia from Skinstore! For anyone else who is looking to buy an authentic Mia, Skinstore.com always has coupons and rebates so you really can get the authentic version at a great price.

  19. Deeds

I was able to register my Mia2 online—2does that mean my product is not fake??

    • Sam

No, being able to register it online does not indicate that it is authentic.

  20. Deeds

Just got off phone with Clarisonic customer service–it is not authentic. I will be contacting Sharing Spree immediately. Soooooo disappointed!!!

    • Melissa

So, how did they verify that yours was a fake since they accepted your registration? Or did they just say that all of the sharing spree models were fakes?

      • Deeds

I had to give them the number that was printed on the handle of the Mia 2. They said the registration does not verify anything–just allows them to have contact information. Fortunately, Sharing Spree emailed me notifying me of my refund…. But no apologies or explanations of why they sold fake products. I am definitely never ordering from them again. I will also be very willing to share my opinion to others.

        • Melissa

I don’t fault Sharing Spree for being scammed in the first place by whatever vendor they were dealing with (although from comments someone posted it looks like this is not the first time). But I do fault them for not admitting that they participated in selling counterfeit items and immediately notifying the customers of that fraud when it first came to their attention. At this point I am skeptical that they will refund me my money since I have opened the box and used the product. Since I had been told by Ashley of Sharing Spree that some of the units were verified to be legit, and I was able to register mine, I initially assumed that I had been fortunate to have received one of the real Clarisonics. I suspect now that the entire lot was fake and that they lied to us to protect the company. If I ever get my money back I will never deal with Sharing Spree again either!

        • Sam

Right. The way they have dealt with this is just awful. They are (still, to this day!) lying to customers. They know the units are fake (all of them) yet they won’t issue a refund unless really pushed. What a disgrace. Both Sharing Spree and this Doorstep Genius should both be shut down. Any company who behaves this way is not deserving of business.

  21. Summer

Just wanted to tell you guys know of a deal I found for Clarisonic. Skinstore.com has a 20% off code—NY20. Plus if you order today, you can score a free normal brush, a mesh bag and a cleanser with your order of Mia (code- sonic— it expires today). I got tired of trying to find the cheapest price for it and than getting a fake. So I decided to shell out some money for a genuine product. Also, go thru ebates to get 8% back. Hope this helps. Skinstore.com is an authorized store. With Mia you get 1 yr warranty and MIA 2 you get 2 yrs warranty.

    • Summer

Also you can use ready 20— to take $20 off $100 purchase or ready 50— to take $50 off $200 purchase

      • Melissa

Summer, where do you find these codes?

        • Summer

Ready 20 and Ready 50 were on their website and I saw them when I was placing my order. NY20 I googled it. And the sonic code for free brush, mesh bag and cleanser was on ebates.

          • Jen

You can only use ready20 or NY20 wehen I just checked. Either can be used though with the special gift code. Bummer, LOL! Wish I had the extra brush head and bag when I ordered last week.

          • Ashley

Just wanted to thank Summer for the referral and share an email I sent to skinstore.com. After I received notice within hours of placing my order, that it has shipped:

I just want to say how grateful I am to have found your site, among those certified to sell Clarisonic products. You may not know, but Sharing Spree Nashville (and perhaps other cities) offered a Mia 2 back in January for $76 shipped. These have turned out to be fake, and there is much discussion here: https://hip2save.com/2013/01/18/sharing-spree-clarisonic-mia-2-sonic-cleansing-system-only-76-shipped-regularly-149/ (note: hip2save is not in trouble here; it’s Sharing Spree. The discussion migrated to hip2save.)

You may want to come up with an ad campaign on Facebook and place it where women who shop at Sharing Spree can see. The campaign message should be that your site offers “the real deal.” (I’m in marketing.)

One of the ladies mentioned your coupon codes and said she had made a purchase, so I went and ordered my “for real” Clarisonic from you, too. I got an email that it shipped today.

Thank you for being an upstanding business. Never stray from that.

            Ashley

    • Ashley

Thank you, Summer. Did it. Looking forward to my little Mia in pink from skinstore.com. With the 20% code, it makes it only $19 more than the Sharing Spree deal. And it’s better on so MANY levels!

    • Sherri

Thank you Summer! I have a key lime Mia 2 headed my way! I spent $40 more than the sharing spree deal but got the free mesh bag, extra brush etc. I am thrilled to know a real one is heading my way.

      • Summer

I am glad that you guys were able to take advantage of this deal. I was so excited to find this deal with the extra head, cleanser and mesh bag that I had to let everyone know about it.
By the way I received my Clarisonic the very next day. And, in the bonus bag you get a full size cleanser. So happy about it.

  22. Melissa

I just got off the phone with Clarisonic customer service. I talked with an extremely helpful and concerned rep. Yes, surprise, surprise: my unit has now been verified to be a fake. One of the main evidences is that the code number should belong to a white Mia2. I received a pink one. I just emailed the address given to request my return authorization number. I received an email back saying they are “reviewing” my request.

  23. Brooke

I just hung up with Sharing Spree customer service, finally got them on phone after calling no less than 10 times today.

I spoke with Lisa, she initiated my refund while we were on the phone and said it should appear on my account in 3-4 days. I’m not really holding my breath.

She said that they will send me a return label to return the product, I asked if they were coming via e-mail or regular mail and she wasn’t sure but it would probably take 3-4 weeks to get that.

I was ready to do battle with her based on the previous comments of her being rude and defensive but thankfully she was quite pleasant.

    • Melissa

Brooke, did you ask to speak to Lisa, or did you just get her when you called?

      • Brooke

I just happened to get her, I assume it was the infamous Lisa.

        • Melissa

Thanks Brooke. I guess I better try calling. I emailed them at the address given to request the refund, but only got a response saying they were reviewing my request. I don’t know how long it should take to “review” my request after they (at least at this point knowingly) sold me a fake product.

          • Brooke

Sure thing! It’s difficult to get someone on the phone so just keep calling, I didn’t leave a message because I figured it was a waste of time.

My mom got an e-mail yesterday afternoon confirming her refund had been initiated. I’ll keep you posted on if/when it comes through.

          • Melissa

Update: Based on Brooke’s positive response I called Sharing Spree and also spoke with Lisa. She was very nice to me as well. She initiated my refund to my credit card and said that the return label would probably take a while to get to me – several weeks. I am glad I called. I told her I was sure it must be very frustrating to have to deal with these problems. She said it was pretty overwhelming.

So, we will see. I will be checking my credit card to see if my refund arrives. She said 3-4 business days, so I expect that I should have it by next Thursday at the latest. I am glad they are promising to refund my money before they receive the bogus product back.

            • Melissa

Update #2: Immediately after posting the previous message I received a confirmation of refund from Timothy Moorehead of Sharing Spree. The ball is rolling on my refund!

            • Brooke

My refund was posted yesterday afternoon, hopefully everyone else has had the same success!

              • Melissa

Received my refund from Sharing Spree. Now I just have to wait for the return label to ship back the fake Clarisonic.

  24. Melissa

Sharing Spree is at it again. Instead of stopping the practice of using vendors who supply counterfeit products as they have said they would do, they are again offering a product from Doorstep Genius. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t that the company that provided the fake Clarisonics? Anyway, today Sharing Spree is selling MacBook Pro covers. Since the covers have the Apple logo, I would assume the covers are supposed to be the real deal, manufactured by Apple. But I wouldn’t hold my breathe on it!

    • Ashley

I ws told doorstep genius was the shipping agent and live shop give the customer service arm.

      • Amy

I did some checking and found out that SHARING SPREE, DOORSTEP GENIUS, LIVE SHOP GIVE and BELLA SWEET BOUTIQUE are all owned by the same company whose owners are listed as Timothy Moorehead, Ron Sapp and Megan Sapp. Looks like are running these fakes all over the country. I wonder why Clarisonic and Urban Decay haven’t had their attorneys shut them down yet? Crazy what people can get away with!

        • Amy

SHOP & SHARE is owned by them too! The CHIs are knockoffs.

          • Amy

DOORSTEP GENIUS is also owned by the same people.

  25. Janie

Has anyone received the label to return the fake mia yet? I keep thinking what will they do with these once they get them back? I would suspect try to sell them in another venue as a real mia. Someone is still going to get scammed in the end.

    • Ashley

I read a comment on here where someone said labels will come in 3-4 weeks. However, it seems refunds are issued first. I got a response today that said 72 hours my refund would post. Guess I’ll just hang onto the product until they send me a label.

Did anyone order TOMS shoes from Zulily this week? I did. Hoping it is a more honest company and the shoes are authentic.

    • Melissa

re: I would suspect try to sell them in another venue as a real mia. Someone is still going to get scammed in the end.

Yes, I think you are right. That’s why they want them back in the box, unopened, and in new condition.

      • Ashley

Perhaps the co they bought them from is buying them back bc they can resell.

  26. Stephanie

Do any of you know if you have to have the box to be able to return the Clarisonic to Sharing Spree for a refund? I also have a fake version, but I no longer have the box. Has this been a problem? Thanks!

    • Marta

They are expecting you to return it in the box, unopened and unused so that it can, I assume be resold to the next unsuspecting customer. I think that requirement is an unreasonable expectation since many who bought it assumed they had the legitimate product instead of a counterfeit and didn’t realize until later that they had been scammed. You could go ahead and request your refund and and attempt to return it without the box. If you have your refund, I don’t think they can legitimately charge your card again without your assent, but I am not sure about that. You maybe should contact your credit card company and ask them, explaining the situation. Meanwhile I would call Sharing Spree and ask for your refund.

BTW, I have learned through experience to never throw away a box that something electronic or electrical comes in, until I have had it a while. Inevitably, if I throw it away, I will need to return the product and won’t have the box to put it in.

  27. Ashley

Anyone else unable to find Sharing Spree Nashville on Facebook? I guess either they took it down or blocked me! Refund not posted, but I received the email Friday. Perhaps it will show up tonight or tomorrow a.m. Got my brand new Mia (not 2) from skinstore.com. It’s charging, and I can’t wait to use it tomorrow.

    • Jen

The facebook page for Seattle is down/removed too. I see the spree today for a CHI iron has only sold 9. Seems word has gotten out (the Mia sold nearly 700 on Seattle and it was more costly).

      • Ashley

apparently 90 people had bought the nashville deal by this morning when I posted.

    • jaycaliJeannine

yes.. on the Sharing SPree fb page they commented about how they merged them all together… Personally I think this is a better strategy.. marketing wise… less confusing.. and much easier to maintain one FB Page than several.

      • Melissa

Perhaps this is a result of Sharing Spree merging the sites, but I found it curious when I went to my account that it indicated under the My Sprees column, “You haven’t purchased any sprees yet.” I did receive my refund, but I am still surprised the site shows no record of my purchase. For those of you who have not yet received your refund, I wonder if the record of your purchase still shows.

  28. Ashley

Oh, and today’s “deal” is a Chi flat iron from none other than Shop & Share, the merchant originally listed on the Mia 2 deal. Coincidentally, my Chi broke when I dropped it the other day. But if high-temp glue doesn’t work, I’m buying from the manufacturer!

  29. Linda

I also received a fake device. I emailed the company and within 2 days was issued a refund on my credit card. They told me they would send a return label, but so far have not received it. Has anyone received a return label? Its been over a week and a half.

    • Melissa

I was told it would take 3 to 4 weeks before I would receive the return shipping label.

  30. gege

I still haven’t received anything yet. This is ridiculous… and i am sending it right back. I will buy from the manufacturer. Lesson learned!

  31. Melanie

Sharing Spree, Bella Sweet Boutique, Doorstep Genius and Live, Shop, Share are all owned by the same people. You’ll notice that SS now rarely runs a deal that doesnt come from one of these companies. I would also be surprised if anyone gets a return shipping label to return your product. Over a month ago I was told to expect one for my fake Urban Decay palette and it hasn’t shown up yet. This company knew that they were purchasing fakes and they are having cash flow issues so I doubt they want to pay more money out of pocket to pay to ship your fake Mia back to them. You’ll notice they are selling the fake Mias again today. Also, all of the individual city fan pages were combined into just “Sharing Spree” on Facebook.

    • Ashley

Anyone else surprised when you got a real Mia that the brush doesn’t spin at all? Just vibrates. It’s great, but since I had an Olay $20 version, which spins, I guess I just assumed the Mia did too! Is it spinning so fast I can’t see it? I think not but could be wrong.

    • Melissa

I noticed too that Sharing Spree was selling the Mia2 again today. I don’t think this company will be in business much longer.

BTW, I did receive my shipping label the other day. It came in a personally addressed note-card sized envelope. I will be mailing mine back today.

Meanwhile, I have also received my real Clarisonic from Skinstore.com, thanks to Summer who posted some great coupon codes about 10 days ago!

  32. Linda

thankfully I found this. Will be contacting my credit card company. Both have been used as we received these like 2 weeks ago. I will have to compare it to an authentic one we have…

    • Jen

      And again today…
Seriously though. despite the fact that they are probably fake (again), they have addressed the issue about colors being shipped at random. Also happened to note though that they didn’t learn and once again initially have listed it WITHOUT mentioning the “no warranty because it was purchased at a discount” phrase that they added AFTER the last spree closed.

  33. Krissy

I STILL havent gotten my “Clairsonic Mia 2” from the deal in January! I cant believe they have the nerve to list it again! I tried calling, no answer. I just sent them an email. This is a terrible company that knows exactly what it is doing. I just hope I can get a refund before they disappear all together!

    • Melissa

re: I STILL havent gotten my “Clairsonic Mia 2″ from the deal in January!

I think they are waiting to get my bogus Clairisonic back so they can send it to you. Seriously, if you haven’t received yours yet when most people received theirs 2 weeks ago or before, you can try demanding that they cancel your order and refund your money immediately or you will contact your credit card company to contest the charge. It is actually to Shopping Sprees advantage to do that rather than pay for return shipping when the item eventually ships in addition to refunding your money.

      • Krissy

I got through to someone on the phone & they told me that it was too late in the shipping process to just cancel it. I’ll have to wait to recieve it, mail it back to them & then get my refund. I havent even gotten into the fact that it is fake with them. The girl on the phone told me to email contact@doorstopgenius.com for my tracking info. I emailed them & it got sent back to me as undeliverable/unknown address. I am just so upset and frustrated with the whole thing, mostly at myself for falling for this scam…..oh well…..still waiting

        • Gloria

The email is contact@doorstepgenius and you can call one of the three owners of the company: Ron Sapp 503 367 4198 or Megan Sapp 503 804 2440 or Tim Moorehead 317 605 5425. They would happy to assist you 24/7!

        • Ashley

I and many others got refund before receiving return label to send it back. I had the product but no return label. So when yrs arrived, ask for immediate refund.

  34. Krissy

It finally came. It was the teal green one. The shipping tag was printed Feb. 1st….. I tried calling and calling & no one ever picked up. So I just emailed & got an immediate refund confirmation email. Did everyone who got this email actually get their refund? and how long did it take to post? Also, did anyone ever get the retutrn shipping label? And did you send it back? I have half a mind to just chuck it in the trash so it doesnt get sent to someone else!

    • Ashley

got the refund 72 hours after email confirmation. got the label a week or two later. have yet to send it back. 🙂

    • Krissy

I also just got this email:
      Hi Kristine,

Thank you for shopping with Sharing Spree.

Our apologies for any inconvenience. The refund has been completed to your card
for the full $76. This merchant will no longer send return labels, so you may
simply dispose of the product. Thanks again Kristine.

      Sincerely,
      Lisa Casper
      Director of Customer Service

      • Ashley

wow. wish I hadn’t gotten a label. It was in the strangest, tiny thank-you note sized stationery w/ hand-written note.

    • Melissa

I did receive both the refund and the shipping label. I mailed mine back. It was good to get rid of it! I feel bad for the next person who purchases the fake Mia2, but since we are under an obligation to return it if we have received a return shipping label, I don’t really think we have a legal choice. I don’t know if Sharing Spree would attempt to recharge your credit card if they don’t receive the fake one back, but I wouldn’t want to chance it. Perhaps what you could do is include a little note within the returned item that the next purchaser will see, indicating that the product is a counterfeit.

      • Melissa

Nevermind on my response! I just saw Krissy’s post above. I wish I had waited a day to send mine off! It would have saved me a lot of time and saved someone else from getting a fake!

      • Linda

what is the email to contact them at? I have 2 fake ones that I confirmed with Clarisonic

        Thanks in advance!

        • Krissy

just go to the sharing spree website. On the bottom you click on “contact us” I just filled out the form told them that i knew they were fake & had seen on several blogs that people were being refunded & sent a return shipping label & I wanted to be contacted about my refund. I got my refund confirmation email minutes later & the email saying to just dispose of it 15-20 min later. Good Luck! I am just glad this is all over. Lesson learned.

  35. mizzmaricel

I need help trying to get my refund back. I tried all the Sharing Spree Number numerous times and no answer. Any suggestions?

    • jill

      I have the same question.
They even don’t answer the e-mail from the “contact us” window.

      • Brooke

I just kept calling randomly throughout the day, this was weeks ago though. If I were you I’d just file a dispute with your CC company.

  36. Melissa

If you want the real deal here’s who you need to contact:
    Beth Jones
    Account Executive | Oregon
    SkinCeuticals and Clarisonic
    Tel: 503-523-6874| Fax: 503-520-8920
    bejones@skinceuticals.com

  37. Jaimie

never received a response either. i just want a refund!!

  38. Doreen

That’s a really good product for skin cleaning.I love it .

  39. Jessica

I just purchased a mia2 on eBay and would NEVER have suspected it were fake! The packaging looked like what I had seen at ULTA, it had the “clarisonic” labeling on all of the parts, it had the metal prongs, the funky shaped charger, EVERYTHING. , everything was IDENTICAL to the real one I purchased today to compare. i got suspicious because I saw a YouTube video and noticed the unit pulsed twice and did a beep-ish sound so I wanted to buy a real one in case the girl in the video had a diff model . The one I got on eBay only pulsed once between timers. After purchasing a REAL Mia2, these are the differences I noticed in addition to the pulsing:1) the fake one did NOT have the lights on the back of the handle(red and green lights in the spot where the inside of your palm would be touching while in use. ) 2) the travel case did not lock together as well and was white when it was supposed to be the color of the Mia2, the lettering on the back of the brush that said Mia2 was slightly thicker than on the real one. 3) after further comparison of the packaging, the colors of the boxes are slightly different. 4) the literature packet is missing the part on the very last page that says “register your product” and provides info on registration. 5) the brush heads are slightly rougher. 6) the sound of the 2 brushes is slightly different.

I’m sure if Iook at them again I will find more inconsistencies, but I’m telling you, this is a great counterfeit and even made my skin feel a lot better in the week I used it. HOWEVER, the REAL mia get my skin much smoother and feels much less a abrasive on my face while in use.

BOTTOM LINE: just save up the extra $30-50 bux and buy the clarisonic from an authorized retailer or directly from clarisonic. (If u buy it from the clarisonic.com we site you can have it engraved with your name on it which is kinda cool). The only reason I even came across fake ones being out there is because after I started using it I was more curious about results other people had and stumbled upon some blogs about theirs being fake.

Also, I think the one speed without the timer is the best bang for ur buck… The timer is a little annoying cuz I need like one more second longer than it gives me on each section to feel like I got everywhere so I end up ignoring them and having to turn it back on for a few seconds. And I always keep it on low. I don’t think the higher speed is really necessary for a face… U less its a man with facial hair or being used on the body. Hope this helps!!!

  40. Kir

I have yet to get it in the mail. Even worse, I have sent three emails, all of which never received a response,

    • Melissa

Kir, you are not going to receive a response. You need to stop waiting for them to send you the product (which is a fake anyway) and contact your credit card company to contest the charge. Sharing Spree is no longer in business. According to numerous reports, they have left a lot of vendors in the lurch, having sold vouchers for services from businesses, but kept the money instead of paying the businesses. Also, they have not been paying the non-profits the money they promised. Here’s the latest info I have seen on Sharing Spree: https://www.newschannel5.com/story/21913185/sharing-spree-leaves-customers-non-profits-frustrated

  41. Jennifer

just confirmed with clairsonic that mine is a fake as well. I am so furious. I will never do this again.

  42. Melissa

For those who did not receive a refund from Sharing Spree for the bogus Clarisonics they were peddling, I received an interesting piece of mail today. Very official looking envelope that says “United State Bankruptcy Court”. Inside is a letter that is a notice of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy for Sharing Spree with the deadline to file a proof of claim. Although I am doubtful that most of the claimants will receive a dime from the owners of Sharing Spree, it is worth a try. The lawyers for Sharing Spree are apparently sending these letters to everyone whom Sharing Spree may owe money. So, watch for the letter in your mail.

    • jaycali

My friend received the notice to creditors to file their claim of money owed to them by Sharing Spree as is required for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Filing. SO yah.. if SS owes you… you should file your claim. Although Melissa my be right about ever seeing the money. IF you paid with a credit card, best to file a Charge Back with your credit card company to get your money back.

      • Ashley

Beware of Bella Sweet Boutique. It is owned by Megan Sapp, Ron Sapp’s wife (couple that owned Sharing Spree).

        • Melissa

Those two apparently have their hands in a lot of pies all at once, all while loudly proclaiming they are “giving back” to charity and non-profits. It looks to me like the ones they have been “giving back” to most of all are themselves. According to: https://www.katu.com/news/local/Oregon-company-files-for-bankruptcy-protection-205268931.html, the couple has been renting “a more-than 9,000-square-foot house in Wilsonville, Ore., with six bedrooms, six baths and surrounded by mansions.” I don’t begrudge rich people having nice houses, etc. That’s their business. But if they are living that life style while scamming people and not paying the money they owe to other business owners and customers, that is another matter.

According to this news piece from April 29th they are in debt by more than 2.5 million dollars to thousands of people across the country: https://www.koin.com/2013/04/29/sharing-spree-declares-bankruptcy
Yet while they have applied for bankrupcy protection from their debtors, they are still continuing with their deal sites! BTW, I looked at the Bella Sweet Boutique site, and I couldn’t see the Sapp name listed at all. How convenient!
