Are these tins on the travel isle or lotion isle or? THANKS!!!

    • Ayo

Lotion aisle for me. They were on some raised dispenser on the shelf

      • Sondra

They were on my lotion isle also. They are on a little dispenser shelf thing and sometimes dont list the price by them

  2. Shelly

Someone in Austin, Texas is very greedy! I read this and ran out to try to do the deal and all the shelves were totally cleared. I tried 4 cvs stores. All cleared!

    • christine b

i Feel your pain some one in northern illinois did the same thing and i went to the 3 closest to me

    • swd

Or the manager/cashier could’ve took them off the self…or maybe 1 person came brought 2 & another person brought 2 which resulted in clearing the shelf.

    • may

shelly, i thought that too about my cvs stores. i went to two of them around 3pm today, pacific time. but i remembered that the store that i always go to haven’t replenish their stock for 2 weeks now 🙁

      • Shelly

I actually talked to staff at each store and they all had stories of people buying a ton. One guy even said that after they had been sold out for hours a lady brought up a bunch. He asked where they came from and she said she found them somewhere hidden in the store. He was convinced that she brought them into the store and rebought them.

        • Sandy

Funny you should say that. I heard someone share their idea. They bought 2, paid the $1.98 plus tax, got back 6 and bought the same 2 over and over again. I get they are paying for product they don’t actually have to make a profit> I try not to judge, but all I can see is the deceit.

          • Dawn

That’s fraud and fraud is a felony.

          • skat

Why would you “try not to judge”? That is stealing. If someone steals from you are you going to judge?

        • autumn t

          😐

        • may

oh man ive been reading about people hiding products too. i really don’t understand it ahahahha oh well. i was actually hunting for the nivea tins yesterday for a good 10 mins at one of the stores i went to hoping someone hid them somewhere but to no avail.

    • michelle

  4. Heather

  5. kelsey

I get along with the manager very well at my CVS store and she said someone came in and bought 32 (on multiple extracare cards!) How greedy!

  6. Josie

Worked in hoboken, nj!!! =) thanks!

  7. christy

i juat went to my cvs closest to me they where out but the manager wrote me a rain check and said they whould honor the 99 cents tins for the deal because the add doesnt exclude them and they go exactly by what the add says she told me there really coupon friendly
    there

  8. piggy

good job for the people w/ 18 cvs cards…they know how to clean up. Thanks again for leaving some for the honest folks!

    • Leanne

Why doesnt a store employee call corporate and turn this person in? I have one card, and thats it, and thats the way it should be. Shame on those who take advantage of this and stand to ruin something good for people who are honest.

      • MissyLiz

As an employee, corp usually doesn’t care even if we complain. They tell us just to order more product. The part that gets me is the standard we get held to as employees. If my husband were to use his card (which he had before we were married) so that we could get multiple deals for our family, then I could get fired. But its ok for other people to have a card for each kid, cat, dog and goldfish in the household…

  9. Emily

I live right outside an affluent area of Northern California (I’m not affluent though, ha!) and bought all 12 no problem. I know nobody here coupons except maybe 16 miles north, where I once did see the shelves cleared for a deal. So, because of that I felt I could purchase 12. I’m moving to the South this summer and I know I won’t be able to ever do this, (and wouldn’t want to) considering all the couponers down there. Here I don’t feel so bad. Everyone’s so rich..I don’t think they could care less if they saved an extra buck….no pun intended 🙂

  10. Rachel

I went to three CVS in Sw las vegas,nv and no luck if anyone in LV is lookin go them

  11. rebecca S.

all out of tins and the $2.97 nivea lotion at my cvs in ohio. I love this nivea creme too.

  12. Lauren G.

Anyone try it in NYC, Queens?

    • fingers

I went earlier before it was posted her and it worked fine in Maspeth but it’s dead now based on forum posts.

      • Lauren G.

Thank you for letting me know.

  13. Rebecca

how many can you buy on one card?

    • tatiana

      limit 6

      • Tracy

6 sets of 2 or 6 total tins?

    • tatiana

      i think lol

  14. Amy Hoag Jahnke

Was able to score 12 at CVS in Montrose, CA. The shelf was still almost full – they had 2 racks of each (blue & white) The cashier was shocked at the deal and I as left I saw her heading over to grab some for herself : )

  15. Sondra

Worked in Oklahoma at 10pm central but had to go to two stores and only found 5 left. IM thankful there were any.. THanks for the info!!

  16. Stephanie

Did not work for me just now in Houston. BOO.

    • Karen

      Deal is dead?

    • Anthony

      Where about in Houston

  17. Ash

I went to four cvs in dallas, Tx . All were out 🙁

  18. Lindsey

I understand that people are upset about shelf clearing with this deal. I normally am not a shelf clearer but the way I see it with a deal like this, if it isn’t the first person who goes into the store it will be the next who takes all the stock. I agree fully that if no one shelf cleared we would all be able to, hopefully, take advantage of this deal but someone will always shelf clear. So, we might as well face the fact that it is going to happen! Congrats to all of those who got this deal!

    • Eunice

      Well said Lindsey :0)

  19. Cherrie

Did not work in Manchester, NH at 11:40 PM tonight.

    • Robin

      Thanks! that’s my local CVS.

  20. Brandi @ Savvy Student Shopper

    Deal is DEAD!

  21. Fern

Did not work for me here in So. FL at 11:45pm 1/20.

    • Jesslinnea

Didn’t work for me in Gainesville, FL either…bought the two 1 oz. tins and did NOT receive the $6EB! I was furious!

  22. Hilary C

Worked for me buying two tins at 9:30 CT, tried again (with same card) at 10 CT – did not work.

  23. Cindy

Tried it here in Maryland, did not work. No extrabucks for either creme tins 🙁

    • Kristie

Thanks, I’ll skip the trip in MD now.

  24. j k

We tried a few stores in our area with no luck . The workers told us that the “scrapers” as he called them, came and cleared the shelves. I just wanted two or four at the most. So sad.

    • irene

Lol! That’s a better term than I would use. Sorry you have to compete with that kind of greed. 🙁

  25. sara

I did the deal at 9 pm central time.I took my mom up to my CVS 10 minutes later and the cashiers were the ones clearing the shelf …doing the deal for themselves.

  26. Geena J

For me in new York the deal dint work for 2jergens 10oz lotions…then I had to get those 6ecbs force printed…very sure 6 ECBs r not goin to print for 2 tins!

  27. Kristine

Went to cvs as soon as i read the posts, got the last 2 left but didnt print any ECBs 🙁

  28. Becca

aww…. i was hoping to go in the morning. 🙁 Is this working for anyone else??

  29. Liz

    This deal is DEAD now.

  30. edy

I did the deal with 8 tins blue and white yesterday in houston and it worked. No tins left someone had bought them before me is tracking under curel deal! But, if u all did the avenoo deal and did the limit 6 times the bucks won’t print for u all the deal is a monthly deal thhat ends 1/23. So if u max ur deal for avenoo 3 weeks it won’t work for anyone else.

    • Deb

Has this worked for anyone today that still has the curel open?

  31. Megan Vaughan

Well this deal is over. I went to cvs right when they opened today. I grabbed the last four on the shelf. When I got to check out the manager was talking to one of the cashiers saying that they did not have any of the tins left. I told them I had four I was going to buy. They would not sell them to me because they were told to pull them off the shelves.

    • Patty

Yup. The glitch was fixed last night so people were lucky if they went earlier in the day. I tried this morning with absolutely no luck. 🙁

  32. Cindy

Did not work in Dayton, OH… they were in the back room, brought up some and they did NOT trip the $6

    • NANCI

I LIVE IN OHIO TOO DID NOT WORK

  33. Pam

I have a helpful CVS tip if you continue to read. I tried the deal this morning as well and it did not work. So, yes, the glitch was fixed. The CVS employee was very pleasant and said that she wanted to take a look at the yellow sale sticker on the Nivea display. After looking at the tag with her, I learned that there is a small number in the upper left corner of the yellow sale tag. The way to tell if you are going to get extra bucks for an item is if the number on the yellow sale tag matches up with the usual white tag identifying the item on the shelf. Clearly, this was a clitch because the number on the yellow sale tag did not match up with the usual white tag on the small tins. It did, however, match up with the larger tins. So, I learned something today that will be very helpful in the future when shopping at CVS. Oh, I was able to get a refund for my small tin purchase!

    • Pam

I forgot to mention that the CVS ad and the yellow sale tag on the Nivea display both state “excludes trial/travel sizes”. Definitely a glitch.

  34. Shanna

Does anybody know if you received a raincheck, if they will still honor, since it was a glitch?

    • Tarri

It depends, they may only let you have one set of the buy 2 get $6 ecb. One time before I had a rc for getting a $4 ecb when I bought shaving cream, the shaving cream was 2.xx reg price. The cashier saw that and would only let me have one at that price and kept the rc.

  35. Jennifer

I was able to get this deal today. The magic coupon machine put out a $2 off any hand/facial cream. At my CVS the little tins were $1.19. The register did not give me the $6 extra bucks, but the manager was nice and printed it for me because the signage was all mixed up and unclear. He is always a nice guy!

    • A.R

where are you located(city, state)?… TIA!!

  36. Darla

Will CVS honor a raincheck for the tins and the ECB’s if it was all written out very clearly on the raincheck? I’m a newbie to CVS.

  37. Jen

im just curious where this deal was listed…or was it a monthly thing? our ad says no trial or travel items…

  38. Darla

Are the tins definitely considered trial/travel sizes?

    • Carissa

      Yes they are.

  39. guest

Things like this make me so mad…. I went to CVS this morning…. just seeing if I could catch one or two…. they were of course sold out…. I was told that someone came in the night before with 4 CVS cards and cleared the shelves… then I was told by the manager that she had a couponer there at 7 am when the doors opened today demanding a rain check… I guess the ads are different in each state but our ad clearly stated excludes trial size and travel size…. so it wasnt even a legit deal…. she said the customer was getting pissed off at her for not writing the raincheck on the 0.99 cent tins….. this is the stuff that is giving all of us honest couponers a horrible name….the manager was in the right for not issuing the raincheck.. the verbage is very clear in the sales ad.. yet this lady thought this deal was owed to her just because other people happened to luck out and get it…. uggggggggggh.

  40. Sue

What I can’t figure out is why the cashiers allow a person to use more than one card? My store has recently put up a sign stating that only one card per person…that’s the way it should be. My ad also stated that there was a limit of one on this deal.

    • guest

I dont get it either… it is so aggravating!!!!!

    • Trinity

The cashiers definitely know who has multiple cards!!!! I know it always pisses them off. Of course, some understand that you may shop for another family, but 4 is a lot!

    • Margie

I understand exactly what you are saying. But there are some people (i.e. me) who take my kids to my mother’s house (so I don’t have to run around for 4 hours going to 5 stores with kids in tow) and in exchange, since she watches them whenever I need her to, I do her errands as well. So oftentimes I’ll show up to CVS with my list and hers. But, we only have one card per household…

  41. Lori

Didn’t work for me this morning – Leo, IN

  42. cassidy

asked the staff about the deal. the only tins we found were the .59 oz lip butter (2 for $5), bought 2 and a green bag tag ($0.99) and the awesome staff did some magic and my grand total was $3.43 plus $6 ECB. I’m in CA.

  43. latoya

I went to 4 milwaukee wi stores and they were all out :O(
