Thanks! Got one this morning for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Went back to order another one, but now looks like the free shipping is gone.

  2. elisa

you have to use your own image, i did a google search of our last name first initial and used that. worked like a charm, if you want to use your rewards # choose first free shipping option. Good Luck

  3. Lisa Ozio

They charges me shipping and tax and the stamp cost me over $11.

  4. sadie

Thanks for all the posts! I used picmonkey and was able to get a cool font and uploaded my entire name/address in the image choice from my computer. $1.06 total. Thinking about ordering a personalized one for my daughter’s birthday invites.

  5. Michelle

so you cant do just a name on it and get free shipping? any image I try to upload says it is not fitting on it…

  6. Leah

You don’t have to use an actual picture either. You can type your wording into publisher, save as a picture and upload it. I like the teacher idea! I did two for teachers, one to endorse checks at work, and one for our return address. Thank you!

  7. Miranda

Ok…I’m using an image uploaded from my computer, and they are still charging me shipping. Guess I missed it!?!

  8. Alisha

I uploaded a picture from my computer and I am still being charged for shipping. I have tried removing it and starting over and even changed to a different browser and it is still charging me shipping!

    • Miranda

Me too, and I called the toll free number, but of course they are closed. Ugh…

  9. Lydia

I ordered 22 of them! It took me FOREVER, but I’m sure it will be worth it. I ordered one for all of my children’s teachers, their aides, the secretaries, principal, and every volunteer that has interaction with my kids. Thanks so much for the heads up!!! I never would have been able to afford a gift for all of these wonderful people who help shape and educate my children!

    • Erin

Guess this is why the deal is dead. I wanted *one* for my son’s teacher, but hey! good for you!

      • Lydia

You know what Erin, considering my husband and I have been unable to work for nearly 3 years because of various ongoing medical issues, I am not going to apologize for this one time I was able to benefit from one of Colin’s posts. Out of the 100’s she posts, I miss out on over 90% of them. I am using these to say “Thank You” to teachers and volunteers. I wouldn’t be able to do it otherwise. I knew I would run the risk of negative feedback such as yours, but I wanted to let Colin know that her hard work makes people in difficult financial situations able to function and participate in things so simple as gift giving. Sorry you missed out on this deal. I wish you luck on the next one.

      • Jason Bellew

U want some WHAAA Bugers for your french CRIES!!! What a crybaby

      • jody

Erin that was really rude. I wouldn’t care if I didn’t get any because someone else got lucky. I miss deals on this site ALL THE TIME bc I’m not fast enough. All orders are getting cancelled anyways, I feel so bad that Lydia spent that much time and it didn’t work out. I feel for her, sorry Lydia, I was excited too 🙁 bummer…

        • Lydia

Thanks Jody. You are too sweet 🙂 I haven’t had a chance to call Staples yet, but I am hoping that since my order was over $20 that they will waive shipping charges like they have for other Hipsters. Even if they don’t waive it, it’s ok. You win some, you lose some 🙂

  10. Michele

I really could use this and either I am a nimrod and can’t figure out what I am supposed to be doing to get free shipping …or it is no longer free shipping. Can anyone confirm that it is still free shipping? Help!!

    • glylibra

i ordered some last night and got free shipping…but just tried doing it again this afternoon as of 4:42pm and it’s not offering me free shipping anymore =/ bummer!

      • Miranda

Thank you for letting us know. I too felt ignorant when I knew I was doing everything right! Guess I’ll have to act faster next time.

        • Michele

          Thank you, bummer ;(

  11. Rosalee

    The cost is now $9.99 : (

  12. Julia

I’ve been tinkering with this for an hour and couldn’t figure out how to get free shipping. I finally entered my rewards number and now the price is up to $9.99. 🙁

  13. Miranda

Price is now $9.99 for the stamp. I guess this deal is over!

  14. Amber

So I just checked my bank statement and they charged my like $30 for 4 stamps… Called Staple’s hotline and the woman I spoke with said they are having issues with it and to call back tomorrow to get it figured out. 🙁 I guess the free shipping isn’t working well, so make sure to check your confirmation and bank statements!!!

  15. Mitchell @ Frugal Finders

Dang it! Now $9.99, but the image still shows $0.99. 🙁

  16. Robyn

I just got mine delivered! Wow talk about rush delivery! 1 day! Smaller than I thought, but definitely worth a dollar! 🙂

  17. alison

I had a few stamps in my cart last night but didn’t have time to place the order so I placed it this morning. They charged me $9.99 each so I called them and they said it’s a glitch in the system and they refunded me the money. The are .99 until Feb 2nd. However, the shipping is no longer free, she said it should not have been free. It’s $9.95 for the entire order so if you order several it’s still worth it, or if you spend $20 you’d also get free shipping. It took me almost an hour to get through this morning, she said they are getting lots of calls on these stamps. Bottom line, they are still .99 until 2/2/13 and if you spend $20 you get free shipping. Good luck!

  18. nomadicpoetrystudio

just got one of mine in the mail, and it is SO CUTE. I’m going back to order more along with some other merchandise to get to $20.

  19. kate

Has anyone gotten shipping notification? I’m wondering if they are going to honor this deal, because on their website the ad no longer says 99cents it says $9.99

  20. me

Mine just came in the mail, how can they ship so quick, I just did this 2 days ago?? WOW! Always find the best deals on h2s!!!!

    • kate

      yay!

  21. Amber

I had commented earlier that when I got to the last page on my order before the confirmation, it said that my total was like $5 for 4 stamps..WELL, my confirmation said my total was $30 something. This was also on my bank account. I called last night and spoke to a woman who told me to call back today to get my money back for the shipping.

Called FOUR times today, each of which was on hold for at least 10 minutes, and got different responses from each representative. The last call, I was told that they would NOT refund me for the shipping because apparantly this deal was not real and someone “hacked” their website. They were telling me that I would not be refunded for $25 worth of shipping for $4 measely stamps. I typically do not get snippy, but I was ticked. They said they couldn’t stop the order and if I sent it back they would not refund me any shipping and it would just cost me more to do that.

This was a 45 minute phone call and the representative kept putting me on hold to talk to her supervisor. “The best they could do” was make me pay $9.99 for the shipping. I am a teacher and this will be the last time I ever support Staples. End of story.

Be careful with this one. Anyone else have this issue?

    • Jane

I’m sorry but the fact is it probably was a mistake as there is NO way they could produce the stamps and rush order it for $.99. Most people did get free shipping even though it was a mistake. I think that boycotting Staples because of this is wrong. Sometimes you win them and sometimes you lose. To pay $9.99 for four stamps shipped is not bad at all! Companies can never win. It was a mistake, so either they cancel all orders and then everyone gets mad or they fulfill the orders, though I few get charged shipping and people still get mad. I think they did pretty darn good considering how much money they must have lost on this deal!

      • Amber

It’s not even the fact that I didn’t get refunded. It’s the attitude of the representative. And I wanted to cancel my order and they said they couldn’t cancel it. Even if it was listed at $9.99 for shipping I wouldn’t have ordered them. If I would have been told this on the FIRST phone call, then I wouldn’t have been as upset, but I was told that the shipping was free and this was just a glitch in the system and it would be taken care of. After having to call a few times and told to call back, I was then told that I wouldn’t be.

    • bhw

I just got this email. Tried to call and their offices are not open….

      • Diana

Just got this email too. BOO 🙁

  22. Cindy

Just got mine today! I wish I made the font a bigger, but other than that I am happy with my purchase!

  23. arria

My order just got cancelled– or pay $14 in shipping!

    • Carissa

I just received an email from Staples with my order number stating that since the advertisement stated “shipping charges apply” I have to now pay for shipping. I called the number included in the email and spoke to a representative who told me that they would not charge me the shipping charges and that I will receive my order at no additional charge. Hopefully they’ll send out an updated email/correction soon but if you also got this email, call the number (be sure to have your order number ready) to ensure you will still get your order without paying the $10 or $13 shipping fee!

      • Rachel

I got the same email and I’m calling now – on hold for a rep. I sure hope I get the one you spoke to! I placed 2 seperate orders too since shipping was free…. :(.

        • Carissa

I placed 3 orders and confirmed that it would be free on all three. I emailed the customer service department as well and got an email confirmation that they would be honoring the free shipping since it was their mistake!

          • Patrice

How long did it take you to receive a response?

            • Carissa

              about 45 minutes!

              • Patrice

Ok. Maybe I’ll get good news to. Not so much the money, it’s principle. How are some people going to already have their order and the rest of us will either get free shipping or cancel or pay shipping depending on who you talk to? Not fair.

          • Rachel

How did you get the email for the customer service department? I’ve been on hold with the # they provided for over 1.5 hours!!!! They keep transferring me because they can’t get a hold of the specific stamp department. It seems that they are all afraid to touch a “stamp order”. 🙁

            • Carissa

I sent an email to the address listed in the email I received (support@orders.staples.com) and included my order number in the subject line. I think I must have been one of the first people to call/email early this morning because I was only on hold for about 2 minutes!

          • sadie

I sent an email at 7am and it’s now 1:40pm with no reply, I have sent another email. Did any of you see that is said do not reply or forward and the email address for questions is the same that was sent to us?

  24. Patty

I just got the shipping email too… so disappointed.

  25. Samantha

I also got the shipping email. I’ll be cancelling. It was too good to be true! System hacked or not (I saw someone mentioned that), the deal stayed up quite a long time, long enough for someone from Staples to notice, and seems like they should honor it. However, I’ve only had good experience with them otherwise.

  26. Steph

I just got an email saying I needed to pay for shipping and to call saples

  27. Ali

Just got the email…pay $9.99 shipping or you wont get the stamp. Very disappointing.
How can some people be receiving the stamps already and others are being asked to pay shipping? BOO staples! 🙁

    • Patrice

On the phone now with rep after holding for 35 min. They’re are seeing what they can do. Will keep you posted on my outcome

    • Diana

I agree. If they honor it for some, they need to honor it for all.

      • mel

I think some probably got processed before they realized what was going on.

  28. Jennifer

I just got an email from staples saying that the fine print said that “Shipping Charges Apply” and that I have to call this 800 number so I can pay my shipping or cancel my order. It’s just my luck but it was still a good deal even with the shipping. I guess it was a glitch and just found it.

  29. Trung

Sad. I just received a E mail. from Staples and they stated

    Valued Staples Customer,

  30. Krista Bradley

I ordered the stamp, and got free shipping. But today I got an email saying that the shipping wasn’t paid, and if I don’t pay it within a certain amount of time, they will assume that I don’t want it. Did this happen to anyone else?

    • Tracy

It just happened to me also. I’m pretty frustrated.

  31. Kristy Bearfield

Got the same email. I really feel it its too late for them to charge the shipping. Oh well there is always another deal. Vista print is pretty affordable.

  32. Elaine

I ended up doing 2 separate orders (after the cute ideas for teachers everyone posted). However, I only got one email about the extra charges for shipping. What does that mean? Is one order free shipping and not the other?

    • Elaine

Very weird. I just got a UPS delivery with one of my stamps in it. I wonder what they are charging me???

  33. Heather C.

I just recieved my stamp… Going to check my paypal statement to make sure they didn’t charge me shipping!

    • Patrice

Did you ever receive a shipping confirmation, or did you just receive the order confirmation?

      • kate

I made two separate orders. One stamp the night it was posted and then one stamp first thing the next morning. I haven’t received any emails since my confirmation, however I did just receive the first order via UPS. I checked my staples account and the first order is saying “shipped” but the second order is saying “in progress”. I guess it is just a wait and see kind of deal.

      • Heather C.

Nope, never received a shipping confirmation, only the order confirmation immediately after I placed my order. I was actually surprised when I saw the UPS truck coming up the drive! I was expecting some sort of email from Staples letting me know my order had shipped, but never got one.

I checked my paypal account, and I was only charged $1.06. It’s still a pending charge though… Perhaps a glitch in Staples system…?

Let me tell you though, the quality of the stamp is awesome! Totally worth $9.99 if I’d have had to pay it!

        • Patrice

Ok. Well just logged into account and 2 of my 3 orders have shipped and should be here Monday. The third is the one I received the email for. It’s “in progress”.

  34. coupon woman

UPS just showed up with my stamp. I got online to say thanks for posting such a great deal – they are super cute and seem like good quality. Even though my credit card amount is still “pending” I never got any emails about shipping costs, so hopefully I am in the clear! I was worried that it was too good to be true. Sorry to hear some of you are having problems – good luck! Guess it almost makes up for the hot water heater I have to replace today! 🙁

  35. Julie

Weird! I got the email, but only on one of my four orders I did. And then 2 of them showed up via UPS this morning! I check the other order status and they all say shipped from warehouse. I did click on 3 day shipping though, since that one said free too! I hope I get the other 2 later today or tomorrow!

  36. Jamie

I received the email above but I checked my order status and everything has shipped. My credit card statement reflects that I have 6 charges (pending) of $1.06, but I only ordered 3 stamps…What the heck? I can’t call customer service right now because I’m sitting in class, but I doubt I’d receive any help anyways.

    Thoughts?

  37. Kim

Maybe this will be helpful to some people: When I spoke with customer service I asked if I could still get the .99 price on the stamps in my original order if I added some other items from the Copy and Print store to my order to qualify for free shipping with $20. She had to ask a manager and a manager’s manager, but the answer was yes. She also told me they were sending out a mass email to their agents so that others would know that orders could be adjusted this way. It sounded like it would only be for those who had already ordered and been sent the email about getting charged for shipping. She said the best thing to do is add all the items you want to your cart, including the stamps. (The ones you ordered before will be saved under “My Accounts” and “Design File.” Make sure your new total will be $20 or more – but don’t check out, then call customer service to place your order and ask them to adjust the stamps from 9.99 to 0.99 for you.

It’s a good deal still if you happen to be in need of more custom printed items like I was. We have a birthday party coming up so I made a poster (on sale for 9.99) and some other items.

  38. LaToya

Yikes – sorry this went south on some of y’all.
I ordered 2 for my kids for Valentine’s Day. Just got them delivered today. Darling. The perfect little (and cheap) gift.

  39. Cindy

I received one of two stamps, no new email about my orders, and the pending charges of $1.07 on my statement has disappeared.. I’m worried!

  40. Mrs A

Ok…. So just got off the phone with Staples (Tracy rep) And this is what she told me. I ordered 2 of the stamps. 1 came in the mail today and 1 didnt. She told me that Staples offered the stamps at .99 with a statement that said shipping charges apply. And some comp called Fat wallet?? changed their terms to take shipping off. I than said well why were we able 2 order them on your site no matter what they did? She said the company hasn’t disclosed to the employees yet if they got “Hacked” but it seems like thats whats going on. She than said that some peoples orders Slipped through the system as she called it thats why some of your stamps got delievered and some didnt. If your stamped GOT delievered than you will NOT have to pay the shipping. This explains why in my case i only recieved 1 email about the shipping and not 2. So the second stamped I ordered I will have to pay the shipping. She said if i didnt want 2 pay she will just refund my account the $1.05 and it will be there in 3-5 business days. I was NOT paying $10 in shipping so the ordered is canceled. She said well enjoy the stamp you did get 🙂 lol.. SHEESH sorry such a long post but maybe this info can help someone. You still have to call them to fix your order this is just what was told to me. I told her good luck cause this is going to be a MESS.

    • marcia

Mrs. A, I’m glad that you were able to get one! I also talked to Tracy. She said the same thing to me and claimed all my stamps were “seized” before being shipped even though my order said shipped. I will laugh if I get one in the mail today. I ordered 4 so I decided to pay the 9.99 for shipping to get all four. $3.50 isn’t bad for each stamp. I am disappointed that not all of us got the same outcome. it also makes me leery to enter my cc info on their hacked website.

  41. stephanie

I ordered 4 of the stamps. I received two today. I called about the other two. They said that I could ship the other 2 for 9.99 together. I agreed since I didn’t want 2 of my 4 kids to get one. I just received an e-mail charging me the full 19.99 each for the other 2. Now I get to call customer service and be on hold again!! Just wanted to let everyone know because I wish I had just cancelled the other 2!

    • Betsy

I originally ordered 11 (one for each kid within the extended family) so I was considering paying the $10 shipping because less than $2/stamp is still a great deal. But instead, I called and added some Charmin and pens to my order to get it above $20 to qualify for free shipping. The rep (Tabitha) was really nice and helpful (though I think she didn’t apply a $2.00 coupon so I may have to call back once I receive the order confirmation). Call the main staples number, NOT the copy-and-print number. Only a 5-min wait!

      • Stephanie

What is the main Staples number?

        • Betsy

          1-800-333-3330

          • Stephanie

            Thanks

  42. Mary

I got mine today cost 1.06 with tax.

    • Cindy

Me too! I think we’re one of the lucky ones.

  43. Dani

I just tried to call Staples’ main line after waiting on hold with the copy and print area for over 1.5 hours today. I was told they CANNOT pull the Copy and Print orders so she couldn’t help me. They are having a high call volume so that wait time is to be expected…she actually laughed and said ‘Hope you can keep busy while on hold”. The copy center does not open again until Monday at 9 am so I will have to try to call again at that time to inquire about my order.
Seriously, I understand that there was an issue, but their customer service is terrible. This is the second time I have had an issue with an order I placed online and before it was shipped I was contacted because there was a “glitch” in their system that required me to pay additional costs.
So disappointing and reinforces that ordering from them is a waste of my time.

    • Janie

I totally agree Staples customer service is a joke. The supervisor I talked to after being on and off the phone throughout the day was rude and oddly enough snotty. She told me sites like hip2save take advantage of glitches in the system. She also said Staples was not at fault in anyway because shipping was clearly part of the deal. This could have been a opportunity to Staples to shine with customer service, instead I would never buy from Staples again.

      • Danielle

The best part of that is that we were supposed to be mind-readers. We should have somehow ASKED to ADD to pay for shipping charges. Hate to to break it to this person, but their site tells me how much I pay.
The unprofessional part is the follow-up emails telling me they are charging me more, the amount of time I spent on hold dealing with CS YOU TOLD ME TO CALL, and the lack of respect you get as a customer of Staples.

  44. Kristi

  45. Cfernq

I placed 2 orders but only got 1 email about charging extra shipping. I contacted them via reply email concerning the one that I did get an email about and I haven’t heard anything. I checked the status of the orders and they both say Shipped from Warehouse. Hmmm. I also didn’t see the free Rush option when I ordered! Rats. Says delivery 2/6/13

  46. shanshan

I ordered 4 stamps and paid only $.99 each with no shipping. Today I received my stamps, very satisfied with the quality. Checked my credit card statement, indeed they only charged me $4.26 total! Guess I was really lucky somehow I fall through the crack and they did not charge me shipping.

  47. kate

My order still says “processing” and I did not receive the email about shipping. Has anyone else not received the email regarding shipping and their orders still say processing?

Thought I’d share my story since I’ve been tracking comments here. Thank you all for posting. I’ve really appreciate it.

I bought 6 stamps originally. It was too good of a deal to pass up, and I kept thinking of different uses.

On my 6th stamp, however, I noticed a shipping charge—-and then went back and looked at my other orders, and noticed order #5 was charged shipping too. I called customer service for them to take off the shipping charges, and they told me I couldn’t do that. So I canceled the 6th order. Order #5 had already gone through, and I was told there was no way I could cancel it.

Then, I received the ominous email that many others have quoted, asking me to pay for shipping, otherwise my orders would be canceled.

I read though these comments to see what had been happening to everyone else. Staples seems to be all over the place—honoring the no shipping, forcing others to pay for shipping, people on hold for super long times, being transferred to multiple departments—I am quite honestly disappointed with how they are handling it. They made a mistake, they ended the deal—but they should still honor the original deal.

BUT I just don’t have time today to argue and negotiate so I can save $10.

So when I finally got through to customer service, I told them, that I’m already paying for shipping on one of them—can you combine my orders? And after 15 minutes on the phone (waiting for them to sort things out), they did just that.

5 stamps for $15.83. Still an amazing buy, but I am disappointed in Staples customer service. It’s not their customer service reps—its the higher ups who are not empowering their customer service team to give us good service. And will certainly think twice before buying a “Staples” deal again.

I purchased 3 stamps (all seperate orders). Was charged 1.05 each (99cents + tax), received 1 stamp (the next day) and received email stating my other stamps are being held hostage until I pay shipping charges. I checked the MY ORDERS page and the two that were held back show “shipped from Warehouse” and have an expected delivery date of 02/06. Wonder if I will get them then …. who knows. Not going to waste 1 hour trying to get these stamps. They way I feel about it is that Staples adverstised a special and are only honoring what they want to honor.

I have the same message on my order so I called staples this afternoon and talked to a sales rep and she said that the order would be here by 02/06 and the wasn’t any shipping charges on my order.

I had the same message on my order. I checked my bank today and my money had been refunded? So I assume I won’t be getting it. But it still shows shipped from warehouse?

This is pretty disappointing. I ordered one stamp going through an email that I received from Staples as a Staples Reward member. I followed all the guidelines in creating my custom stamp with my own image. During the checkout process no shipping charges were indicated. Now they want me to pay shipping? My husband and I spend quite a bit of money in Staples. We buy our person office supplies and computer ink there, plus I buy $100’s in supplies that I donate to an elementary school each year. I don’t even have the energy to fight with customer service over this.
