Actually, most Safeway stores do NOT double. Only a few do as Amber from Coupon Connections knows all too well, living in the Seattle area as she does. Just don’t want to get anyone all excited for a deal they can’t do.

My safeway doubles. I love it!

    • Kristin

      My Safeway doubles. 🙂

    • Megan

My Safeway does not double. I’m also in the Seattle/Tacoma area.

      • An

I am also in Northern WA and no doubling here 🙁
Safeway doubles in Oregon and SW WA but most Safeways in WA do not double.

        • An

That being said if you print 2 of the coupons from the second link (you need to be Betty Crocker members) you can get the $.49 price even without doublers. I just printed them.

    • Kristen

My Safeway in Maryland doubles coupons up to $0.99 🙂

      • amy

        I’m in Maryland too!

        • Brandi @ Savvy Student Shopper

          Me too! 🙂

    is kroger apart of safeway

    • mina

      no, its not

    • Edie

Nope, that’s the parent company for Fred Meyer, QFC, Dillon’s (I think?), etc.

  3. Gayl

I live in a really small town in Nebraska, and our Safeway doubles! So glad, going to stock up on fruit snacks!

  4. katie

to go with the $1/3 kellogg’s coupon, you can use the $1.50/1 coupon from kellogg’s family rewards, since you have to buy 4 boxes. that would make them $1.17 each!

  5. tina

In Oregon, pretty much all the Safeways double, but only the paper coupons, not the printed ones.

    • tina

And forgot to add, coupons are doubled up to $0.50, so $0.30 coupon becomes $0.60, $0.75 coupon becomes $1.25, and the $1.00 coupon becomes $1.50, and so on. The maximum double value is $0.50, but there is no cap off on the coupon, so even a $4 coupon is “doubled” and becomes $4.50/
      HTH!

  6. amy

Can u mix and match the items? Like could you get two fruit snacks and cinnamon toast crunch n box of frosted flakes??

  7. Sharon

    • amy

Thanks, also if u have 8 mix and match do u have to make 2 transactions or can u do it all at once

      • Lucky

I think you can do all 8 in one transaction

  8. Nina

Yes, here is SW Washington, Safeway only doubles up to .50. The coupons can’t be printed coupons either. There is a limit to 4 per visit. Bummer….

  9. Karen

In OR Safeway doubles up to .50 limit 4 coupons. They also do not double Internet coupons. At least mine in Salem doesn’t. So the most you can get is another $2.00 off.

Just got back from Safeway and snagged some awesome deals!!!
Betty Crocker fruit snacks-on sale for .99c when you buy 4, I bought the Spongebob snacks and they paid me .51c, Reg price was 2.99 minus 2.00 for the sale plus .50c for my J4U coupon, plus .50c man coupon which doubled to 1.00, leaving me with a credit of .51c!!!
Nature Made Mini’s Super B Complex-Reg price $8.49-on sale BOGO. Minus J4U coupon $3.00 plus $3.00 man cpn. I paid a total of $2.49 for 2 full size bottles!!!

  11. Nelly

Safeway in Northern VA doubles up to .99. They also except internet coupons and will double those too up to .99.

I stopped shopping at Safeway for a while because I though their prices were higher than other grocery stores in the area. But now with the J4U program + club card savings + coupons, you can get some awesome deals! From my experience, what ever J4U coupons they have seem to team up with the sunday paper coupons. You can use both on single product since J4U is considered a store coupon. ;D

    • Nelly

      oops! except = accept
