If you’re a current parent, expecting a little one, or are a caretaker of kiddos, then you’ll definitely want to take note of Amazon Mom (if you don’t already know about this great program). Amazon Mom is currently offering up a ton of awesome benefits including an extra $10 off your first pack of select diapers! This discount will automatically be applied to your first qualifying diaper purchase.

Here are the additional benefits of Amazon Mom:

* Snag an additional 20% discount on select diapers and wipes when you sign up for Subscribe & Save delivery (you can easily cancel or change shipments at anytime).

* Snag 3 months of FREE Two-Day shipping with Amazon Prime (this is an awesome perk!).

* Exclusive discounts and deals for Amazon Mom members!

If you’ve already paid for an Amazon Prime membership and you sign up for Amazon Mom, your Prime membership won’t change–they’ll just add your Amazon Mom membership to your account. Also, if you don’t already have an Amazon Prime membership, after your 3-month free trial period, you’ll be automatically upgraded to Amazon Prime for $79 per year (unless you decide to opt out – which you can do online).

* If you’re a member of Amazon Student and have already received the Amazon Student free shipping benefits, you are not eligible to receive free shipping benefits from Amazon Mom. However, you will still be eligible for offers exclusive to Amazon Mom members such as 20% off select diapers and wipes.

So, what do you moms out there think about Amazon Mom? Is it worth signing up for?

    • Amanda

I only use the discounts for diapers (pull ups), but I definitely think it’s worth it. Especially because it’s free!

    • Cara

I’ve been using Amazon mom for over 2 years. The price on diapers and wipes are way cheaper than regular prices at Walmart, SAMs, Cosco, etc IF you buy brand name diapers. If you use Up & Up or other store brands it’s not always the best deal. I’ve been able to get Pampers Baby Dry for as low as 13¢ a diaper from Amazon Mom with subscribe and save and coupons. They also do extra coupons from time to time on select items. In January there was a 20% off select Amazon Mom items.
*Note: I also pay for Amazon prime. I am not sure if this affects any of the amazon mom prices.

I’ve been using it a few years. It’s free no annual fees or anything but nice discounts on diaper and stuff with subscribe and save options 🙂

  2. Kate

Is it only for new members?

  3. Danielle

It’s definitely worth doing the free trial. Plus, if they work it the way they used to, you can get up to a year of Prime benefits for free by making purchases. I think it was extended a month for each $25 baby purchase. So it is definitely worth it. I would not pay for it though.

  4. Peggy

Is it worth it now that you have to pay the $79 membership?

    • april

I want to know the same thing..So to join amazon mom you have to sign up for Amazon prime and pay the $79?

    • Ketsy

If you use all the perks, it is worh it. Example is i cancelled my netflix to use their streaming included so there pays for itself. Another example is they offer the subscribe and save for extra percent off. If you get 5 items delivered in the same months en your other items that are not wipes an diapers also get an additional 15% off. I was able to het a proglide razor for under $3 and the refills for under $20 which compared to walmart is a great deal. Nothing like getting it delivered to my door. No spending on gas and mileage and going couponing to fins shelves bare.

  5. Deb

it says you get 3 months free

    • Rebe

Make sure they dont charge you. I signed for a free trial a few months ago and they charged me the $79 from the get go. I called then and the charge was reversed, I am glad I check my credit card statements so carefully! 🙂

How do you use the 10 off for new members, I have added a few items to my cart and it is not taking anything off. And it didnt take it off the subscribe and save, because you have only 7 days to use it.

  7. Deb

It looks like it doesnt give you the S&S discount and the $10 off…bummer!

    • dealgirl

I was able to buy huggies diapers with s&s, the $10 coupon, and the $2 huggies coupon. The only thing that doesn’t work is that you can’t use the s&s items with 2-day shipping.

  8. abby

How do you find these select diapers that you get $10 off for? Please help!

    • camille

I can’t find them, either. I’ve tried both Huggies and Pampers, the largest boxes. Would love to know if this deal is actually working.

      • dealgirl

Worked for me. When you get to the payment page it should show a break down of your discounts.

        • dealgirl

I should also note that I added the subscribe and save diapers to me account.

    • Deb

I can get the $10 to come off, but not off the S&S…it comes off the full price. I click the subscribe now button, so not sure what I am doing wrong

  9. Deb

I still can’t get it to work!

  10. stacy

How long does this $10 offer last?

Also, a few comments say the amazon mom has been free for them for a few years and such. That isn’t so. If you’ve have amazon mom for longer than the free trial, they charged your card. Or, you no longer have amazon mom. One or the other.

    • Annadm

I think after every $25 Purchase they add a month onto your subscription. It wasn’t worth it to me. I got 28 boxes of diapers from babies r us for free essentially that’s a much better deal hahaha

      • stacy

You’re right! They used to do this, and some people are probably grandfathered in by many many $25+ purchases. Members who joined Amazon Mom after Jan 1, 2012 are not eligible for membership extensions, though.

  11. tami

can someone list the exact name of the diapers that the $10 is coming off of? I have tried about 10 different huggies and pampers and I cannot get it to work.

  12. Ketsy

It is not working with the subscribe and save so not a food deal for me, my pack is $35.29 with the subscribe and save but doesnt allow to double dip so its only taking the 10 off… Making it 34.11. Really saving 1.17 not worth buying extra since i have some in the closet

Amazon Mom is always free, but to get the best discount, you have to pay for a Prime Membership now. I’ve been getting diapers through Subscribe and Save for about two and a half years now. It used to be a fantastic deal until they required a Prime membership to get the full discount. This is the first year we’ve done Prime. I am NOT a membership fee kind of gal, but I figured out I still come out ahead on this one. The $79 breaks down to $6.58 per month, divide this again between two boxes of diapers delivered to the door. We get Luvs, which are around $26/box (through Mom and S&S) for around 200 diapers (depends on size). There’s usually a coupon you can clip for $1.50 as well. I am also a coupon-er, and do, on occasion, find a slightly better deal in the stores, but not on a consistent enough basis to make it worth the extra trip or having to buy diapers at a higher cost when I run out waiting on a great deal.

Also, Prime shipping made Christmas shopping a breeze compared to taking the boys shopping with me. I was also able to score a lot of little deals because I didn’t have to spend $25 to get free shipping. As a Kindle user, it is nice to have access to the free videos (Downton Abbey, anyone?) and a free Kindle book loan a month. As much as I HATE paying a membership fee, I’ll grudgingly do it again when my current subscription is up in June.

If anyone can find a box of diapers where this promotion works and ends up actually being a good deal, please pass on the info! So far, I’m not that impressed with my “$10 off” Doesn’t make much difference if you can’t use the subscribe and save as well…
