I used to pick up this food and eat on the run while heading to my children’s soccer/baseball games. The coupon I received has in bold print that it can only be used for “dine-in” eating? Did anyone else notice this or had an issue using it for takeout in the past? I wonder why the change in policy.

      Ppl were likely abusing it

The change in policy occurred because people were using the deal in such a way that the restaurant did not generate the extra business from it that they expected. The loophole for ToGo food was allowed at one point because of the desire not to discriminate for those on the run, but has since been closed due to the business end of things. The point of the coupon is to bring business in to the restaurant, which makes people more likely to purchase items other than their entrees and free kids meals such as apps, drinks, dessert, etc. This was not occurring hardly at all when the food was ordered ToGo, and thus we were simply giving away lots and lots of free kids meals with no benefit to the restaurant. Also, people using it ToGo often did not have children and were just getting extra food for free, which is not fair to those who bring it in and want to use it but do not have a child with them. If the coupon is restricted to children, then it makes sense that the children must be present. Also, some stores may not allow you to utilize the coupon with a 2 for 20 deal, as both entrees and the appetizer are already discounted for you. Mine does, but not all will.
